Kelly MacDonald Brave-ly Bares Beav

Definitely not nude in theaters, Kelly MacDonald lends her voice to the new Pixar flick Brave . But to see Kelly go Brave-ly full frontal, check her out in 1996’s Trainspotting . Kind of nude on Blu-ray, Jennifer Aniston keeps covered in Wanderlust , but comedienne Kerri Kenney and some nude extras mean it’s not a total Wander-bust. And unbelievably nude on blu-ray, Sarah Miles gets boffed by Kris Kristofferson in the ’70s real-sex shocker The Sailor Who Fell From Grace with the Sea.

Justin Bieber: A ‘Humble’ Evolution From My World To Believe

Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, opens up to MTV News about the singer before ‘Bieber Live’ airs Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: In the lead-up to the release of Justin Bieber ‘s album Believe , there has been a lot of talk about how much the 18-year-old has grown up since he dropped his first EP, My World, back in 2009. Sure, he is actually older, but the conversation has also been focused on how his music sounds more mature. He no longer seems to be crafting sugary-sweet tracks like “Baby.” The pop star will celebrate his mature new album during “Bieber Live,” airing Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Bieber will join Sway and 100 lucky fans for an interview and a pair of performances. Adding to his growth is the fact that in the two and a half years since that debut release, Bieber has quite literally done it all. He’s toured the world (several times over), topped the charts, won a lot of awards, fallen in love, become a boss to his own artist , owned the box office, befriended some of the biggest MCs in the game, vowed to “Never Say Never” and, yes, became legal. As tiring as it may sound to be Justin Bieber, his manager, Scooter Braun, notes that when the singer sat down to make the album, he didn’t want to rush it or be lazy about it. He wanted it to be perfect. His experiences are not only helping shape him as an artist but also helping him mature as one. “You know, I think a lot of times with big superstars, they don’t always deliver on that big album. They don’t meet the expectation … sometimes it’s because they’re superstars,” Braun explained to MTV News. “Maybe they think they know it all and they don’t want to listen to anyone else’s input, and sometimes that works and sometimes that doesn’t. “Justin was really humble about this,” he continued. “He probably wrote 200 songs and we just kept working and working and narrowing it down. And there were so many records that didn’t even make it that we’ll save for something else. I think when it was all said and done, there wasn’t one person who listened to that album all the whole way through and thought that we didn’t have something special and really great and something that didn’t just reach the teenagers, but everyone — without losing the teenagers.” The album certainly has been teased for quite some time. The buzz began to really pick up around the time of the release of his holiday album in 2011, when he dropped the name Justin Timberlake as his template for career evolution, setting the bar quite high. “I’m proudest of Justin with this album ’cause I think he delivered,” Braun said. “For a superstar to deliver means a lot.” Others who worked with Bieber on the release told MTV News during the recording process that it was important for him to make music that would help expand his brand beyond the tween and teen market. A big part of Bieber’s musical evolution, however, is about making sure no one gets alienated. “The only conversation we’ve had about Justin’s album that we’re about to do is it’s really important that it’s the proper transition because we’ve seen him [with] ‘Baby,’ now we’re watching him grow up,” his vocal producer, Kuk Harrell , told MTV News back in November. “And we can’t just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There’s a record in between.” That mission to help Bieber make the right choices as an adult artist was certainly priority number one when Bieber hit the studio with Mike Posner to work on the album’s lead single, “Boyfriend.” “I think our goal was to make something that me and my friends could listen to in the car,” Posner explained in March. “I think we’ve all known Justin since he was 13, and that’s not the kid I was in the studio with anymore. He’s an 18-year-old. He skateboards with Lil Wayne and hangs out with Lil Twist. Those are his homies. And he listens to hip-hop and he’s a really cool kid. He’s not like a corny guy. “So I wanted to make something that reflected who he is now and who he is going to continue to be,” Posner continued. “I think people have been waiting [for] when he’s going to turn that corner, and the time is now.” Listening to his album, it’s clear that Bieber is trying out new sounds, from dance to R&B and everything in between. But he also just plain sounds different. His voice is deeper than it was when he first started making music. That register change is something he commented on in a recent interview with MTV News. “It’s really deep,” he joked. “The thing is, I’d always put out random songs and give it to my fans, and when my voice was changing I was doing that. So they didn’t randomly just hear [it and go], ‘He’s got a deep voice now.’ It was gradual. They didn’t realize it that much. It just kind of happened. The tone is still the same. It’s just deeper and sexier.” In the end, while it may seem like he’s taking a cut from another pop star named Justin , Bieber is actually focused on following yet another megastar’s template for success. “He’s growing and so is his music,” Braun said. “And I don’t think he’s transitioning and losing any fans. I think he’s just growing. We always study Michael Jackson and the thing I loved about his career is he never lost that 2-year-old that bounced to his music. But at the same time, you’d go to a club and there were adults bouncing also. And I think that’s what we want to do with Justin.” Don’t miss “Bieber Live” on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, followed by “MTV First: Katy Perry” at 7:53 p.m., when Katy will debut her “Wide Awake” music video. Adam Levine To Star In ‘Can A Song Save Your Life?’

Maroon 5 frontman and ‘Voice’ judge set to star alongside Keira Knightley in the film, executive-produced by Judd Apatow. By Kara Warner Adam Levine Photo: Adam Levine is proving to be quite the multi-tasker. In addition to an already busy schedule that includes juggling Maroon 5 frontman duties and judging “The Voice,” Levine is reportedly set to make his big-screen debut in the music-themed, possibly romantic drama “Can a Song Save Your Life?” According to Deadline , Levine will star alongside Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo and Hailee Steinfeld. The film reportedly revolves around an aspiring singer (Knightley) who moves to New York with her boyfriend and fellow aspiring musician (Levine) so they can both pursue their music careers. Levine’s character breaks up with Knightley soon after their arrival to pursue a solo recording contract, leaving Knightley on her own to be discovered by a “down-on-his-luck” record producer (Ruffalo) while singing at a local bar. The film will be directed by John Carney (“Once”) and executive-produced by Judd Apatow. The role will be Levine’s first in film, in addition to having already picked up a recurring role on FX’s soapy and creepy noir “American Horror Story.” Levine will play one-half of a couple known as “the Lovers,” but that’s about all we know. “It is the truth,” Levine confirmed to E! News recently about the “Horror” gig. “I mean, it’s pretty much happening. I think it’s happening. I don’t know how much I can divulge, because [series co-creator] Ryan [Murphy] is very under wraps. It’s going to be fun. And I told [Murphy] I really didn’t know what I was doing, but he didn’t seem to really care,” Levine continued. “So I’m just going to go and try to [do] acting. I think I’m going to be kind of playing myself, so hopefully it will be easy.” No word yet on a production start date for “Can a Song Save Your Life?” or the second season of “Horror Story.” Levine is currently on tour with Maroon 5 and will return to his judging duties on “The Voice” this fall. The Bachelorette Recap: Goin’ West Virginia Hood Rat Backwoods on His Ass!

Emily Maynard showed us a new side of herself on The Bachelorette tonight . We honestly didn’t know the girl had that scrappy street fighter in her, but we dig it. Unfortunately for one guy, this earned him a profane tongue-lashing and a ticket out the door. Fortunately for us, that douchebag will no longer take up screen time. Who was the recipient of Emily’s blowup, and what’d he do to provoke her? Who else got the boot at the end of the night after the fireworks ended? Follow this link for a rundown of The Bachelorette spoilers we know so far, including the (alleged) final three. Then read on for THG’s official +/- recap! Ricki and Emily in matching peacoats? Cutest thing ever. Plus 20 . Chris Harrison’s purple scarf? LOLZ not so much. Wow. Minus 11 . Sean Lowe gets the one-on-one date, and he’ll obviously knock it out of the park, ’cause that’s what guys like Sean Lowe do. At everything. Plus only 10 because he’s almost too perfect for words and shows up normal guys. Meanwhile, Alejandro is still on the show. Who knew! Plus 4 . Sean and Emily do their best impression of the Duke and Duchess. Will Emily soon be sporting her best Kate Middleton baby bump ? Probably … since that “bump” is like 97 percent not real. Minus 9 for THG confusing all of you. Kalon says every day is a “group date” with Emily and Ricki. Ohhh, good one man! What a douche. Just pack your bags now. Minus 15 . Sean sounds like a preacher in the park … saintly, even. Plus 8 . Emily and Sean’s date at the Tower of London? Quite romantic. Plus 6 . The whole “love takes no prisoners” card? Quite cheesy. Minus 6 . He should be thankful she didn’t go Fifty Shades of Grey on him down there in the dungeon. We know she wants more kids like whoa. Plus 2 . Emily’s raspy voice is kinda sexy … even if it’s just because she’s sick or lost her voice. Feel better, Em … but wow. Holy hotness. Plus 8 . Speaking of hotness, how about Sean’s charm, kindness and genuine humility? Is any girl watching this not swooning right now? Plus 12 . “The last thing I wanted to do this week is act.” – Doug. Really man? That was the last thing that entered your mind this week? Minus 3 . “Shakespeare is HUGE in Mississippi. That’s pretty much all we do is sit around and read his plays.” – Travis. Joke? Not a joke? Plus 5 . “I have limited understanding of what is going on in my scene.” – A surprisingly nervous, visibly uncomfortable Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Plus 15 . We can’t decide if Ryan’s overconfidence is hilarious or infuriating. Wash . Of all the guys, Arie and Doug are exceptionally good sports. Plus 15 . Arie: “Ryan is cracking me up, because he’s so excited he finally gets to kiss Emily. I’m like, ‘dude, it’s a play. You’re not actually kissing her.'” Plus 5 . “If Shakespeare were alive and saw Ryan, he would say ‘thouest suck.'” Plus 10 . Emily drinking beer with the guys? Plus 10 . Do the producers feed Ryan these lines? And/or tell him to talk in the Disco Stu-esque voice? He’s creepily hysterical. Plus 3 . Kalon actually refers to Ricki as “baggage.” Uhh, Minus 100 for saying that in the first place, and for the weaksauce excuse/retraction. Doug rolls up his sleeves like he’s going to throw down. Plus 12 . Props for Doug telling her. Given the nature of what was said, and the fact that it involved Ricki … it was warranted. Plus 28 . Emily: “I wanna go West Virginia, hood rat, backwoods on his ass.” Plus 150 . And she backs up the talk! Plus 50 for cutting him off and telling him to “get the f*%k out” and not even hearing his half-assed excuses. Why even go on the show if you know Emily’s the star? Why say those things to the other guys? Bottom line … loser got what he deserved. She doesn’t feel the guys had her back? Doug told her! And Emily DESTROYED Kalon by herself! We feel for her, but still, what do you want? Minus 9 . After waiting five weeks for a one-on-one date, Jef with one F is totally getting c*ck-blocked by Jeanne the British etiquette expert. Minus 20 . Plus 25 for them ditching out and going to a local pub. Emily lost her mojo over the whole Kalon thing. Jef might take things slowly but he’s saying all the right things, and Plus 40 for that. Dance parties all night with Ricki?? WePlus 9. With that kiss, Jef vaults into top-tier status with Sean and Arie. Plus 30 . Can anyone else compete with those three? Will be tough. Ryan? Maybe, but we just don’t see it. Minus 5 . Emily is getting the butterflies with Sean, but not in her stomach … they’re in her HEART!! OMG, so mind-numbingly cheesy. But cute. Plus 2 . Arie: “I think I may be going home tonight.” Really Arie? Ryan, Alejandro, “Wolf” and the Egg Dude are still on the show! Minus 7 . Saying goodbye tonight: Kalon (kicked the f*%k out) Alejandro (did not get rose) Still alive: Sean and Jef (earlier), Doug, Ryan, Chris, John “Wolf”, Travis, Arie. EPISODE TOTAL: +304. SEASON TOTAL: -1.

America’s Got Talent Recap: Bigger in Texas?

America’s Got Talent rode into Texas on a bull last night, hoping to lasso in a few winning acts. Who did Sharon, Howie and Howard find? Read on for a full rundown… Fiesta Bandbaz Brothers – The Iranian Acrobats already have the Vegas spirit since they lived near the area. While I wished the ladder was more impressive, the act itself was amazing to watch as the younger of the two wobbled to keep his balance. Age will clearly be a factor as the older one couldn’t really hold on as well as he could have five years ago. Still, the routine was impressive and I could see how adding some extra shine, lighting, and dramatic music could make it a contender on the show. There was oddly the perfect counterbalance of two female contortionists that were almost too perfect and it looked easy. Joe Castillo – The Sand artist was really cool but there was something a little bit off about watching him. The imagery was beautiful and since it’s the first time I’ve seen it, I’ll give him some credit. The next time we watch him in Vegas, he better up his game and think of something that doesn’t just play the patriotic card. David Smith Jr. – The Human Cannonball’s story sounded pretty scary: broken legs and a father with a broken back. The weather didn’t seem to be helping his cause because of the rain and possible CGI lightning. I give him tons of credit for going while it was raining. It was silly when they considered shooting Brittany out of a cannon on Glee, when her dummy demo burst into a billion pieces, but it was epic for a guy to really do it. His wife mentioned that the rain caused the netting to be a bit springy and he could have hit the ground even with the netting. What else are you going to do with this act though? Average Tacos El Charro De Oro – Sebastien De La Cruz was the head of the mariachi band and while he introduced his band in the beginning, we never got their name again. I liked the performance, but I have to admit how niche the group is. Consider the fact that the Grammys limited the Tejano category that I’m not even sure how many mariachi bands get exposure outside of Spanish groups. We have to think of this on a Vegas scale. A full Mexican explosion of culture where mariachi was one element could be watchable, but by itself it needs more to be dynamic. Tim Poe – There’s something very endearing about the stuttering singer and war vet. You want him to succeed, which is perfect for a reality show like this. I’m happy to see that his voice doesn’t stutter while singing, but I only find his vocal skills to be average at best. The song was a perfect fit for his story, but his pitch left something to be desired. Empty Pi

John Edwards Thanks Jury, Takes Responsibility For "Sins," Professes Love For Daughter

After a jury found John Edwards not guilty on one count and declared itself deadlocked on another five charges on Thursday, the two-time Presidential candidate accepted full responsibility for his “sins” even as he maintained he did nothing illegal. The politician, who is unlikely to be retried for alleged campaign finance fraud, spoke emotionally about his 4-year-old daughter with mistress Rielle Hunter . Despite his sensational and stunning fall from grace, Edwards professed his love for “my precious Quinn, who I love more than any of you could ever imagine.” John Edwards Found Not Guilty “I am so close to and so, so grateful for [her] … I’m so grateful for Quinn.” It was Edwards’ alleged efforts to use illegal campaign contributions to cover up his affair with Hunter that stood at the center of his federal corruption trial. After praising the jury as “an exemplar of what jurors are supposed to do,” he said, “I want to make sure that everyone hears from me and from my voice.” “While I do not believe that I did anything illegal, or even thought I was doing anything illegal, I did an awful, awful lot that was wrong,” he said. “There is no one else responsible for my sins. I am responsible. And if I want to find the person who should be held accountable, it is me and me alone.” Edwards then praised his parents and children, including grown daughter Cate Edwards , who sat next to him throughout the trial, and spoke of his future. He said he wants to be a good father and to work with poor children. “I don’t think God’s through with me,” the 58-year-old former U.S. Senator said. “I really believe he thinks there are still some good things I can do.”

‘Twilight’: Are There More Vampires In Stephenie Meyer’s Future?

‘Things change so much from week to week,’ the author tells MTV News of returning to the vampire franchise in the future. By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Stephenie Meyer Photo: MTV News The final installment of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire saga, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” hits theaters this fall, showing newlywed Bella Cullen in all her red-eyed, ice-cold-skin glory. It’s been a long journey since “Twilight” released in 2008 and many fans are sad to say goodbye to their beloved franchise. But when the credits roll on November 16, it may not be the end of Edward and Bella’s story. When MTV News flew out to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to visit Meyer on the set of “The Host,” the author revealed she has a few more story lines in mind for the couple. “Things change so much from week to week, let alone year to year. I mean, there are other stories, obviously,” she said. “I have a really hard time putting down characters and so I know what would happen. It’s just a matter of, ‘Are we tired of vampires?’ I kind of feel like maybe we are as a general group.” Us, tired of vampires? Never! But Meyer did admit — even if we’re still up for more bloodsucking tales — she’s a little worn out on the creatures. “It might take some time to want to go back there. And of course, for me it’s easier ’cause I know exactly what happens so there’s not as much suspense and stress for myself.” Fans of the “Twilight” series may recall Meyer’s venture back to Forks when she wrote the first novel from Edward Cullen’s perspective, “Midnight Sun.” The story was leaked online, causing the writer to put its release on hold. For those of us who are itching to get our hands on a copy, we may have to wait a few years. “You know, I’m trying to stay away from the vampire stuff because I do think if I can focus on other things, I’ll recharge a little bit there. I haven’t really looked at anything vampirish for a little while,” she said. “Someday, like on my deathbed or whatever, if I never get around to writing it, I’ll tell everyone what happens. I’ll just narrate for a little bit.” “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” is up for two MTV Movie Awards this year under the categories Best Kiss and Movie of the Year. Voting is still open, so make your voice heard! LMFAO Hope They Have The Movie Awards ‘Anthem’

Kid Cudi, Chemical Brothers, Figurine and College/ Electric Youth also up for Best Music at Sunday’s show. By Kevin P. Sullivan LMFAO Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images The right song can make a normal scene in a movie one that goes down as a classic, and pairing a scene with the perfect backing tune can shed new light on a song you thought you knew. So for the MTV Movie Awards , we honor the music that met the perfect movie and made the magic happen. Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to cast your vote and make sure your favorite takes the stage this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET to collect the Golden Popcorn. Here’s our rundown of the Best Music nominees: College and Electric Youth’s “A Real Hero,” “Drive” If “Drive” had been just a straightforward crime thriller like a synopsis might suggest, it would have amounted to nothing more than an average genre entry with a pretty face attached. Instead, director Nicolas Winding Refn infused every inch of this new cult classic with ’80s nostalgia, including an electro-fueled soundtrack, led by the College/ Electric Youth collaboration “A Real Hero.” The pick could seem odd at first, but as soon as it kicks in and all other sound fades away, everything just clicks. Figurine’s “Impossible,” “Like Crazy” Young lovers inevitably come to adopt songs as meaningful and important to the memory of their relationship. Appropriately, last year’s “Like Crazy” featured a killer soundtrack, suitable for the impossibly cute first love. “Impossible” comes up during one of the more difficult moments in the film, when our ocean-crossed lovers are apart and old memories keep new ones from taking. It added a layer of reality and depth to a scene that felt straight out of real life. Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” (Steve Aoki dance remix), “Project X” When it comes to throwing the world’s greatest house party, a badass playlist lands at the top of the to-do list, right below “invite people.” Just a quick glimpse at the clip proves that there’s nothing quite like this Kid Cudi/ Steve Aoki jam to party till the sun comes up or the cops kick everyone out. LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” “21 Jump Street” Now if you’re more in the mood for party music to get stabbed in the back to, LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” may be more up your alley. The song turned out to be the perfect accent to Schmidt and Jenko’s first big house party as fake high-schoolers, and it showed that you shouldn’t let something like a pesky knife wound ruin your rager. The Chemical Brothers’ “The Devil Is in the Details,” “Hanna” Similar to “Drive,” “Hanna” uses fairy-tale motifs and a frighteningly memorable score from the Chemical Brothers to elevate what would have otherwise been a rather typical Bourne rip-off. The music adds a whole other level of danger and makes the tale of a tween-age master assassin all the more sinister and disturbing. Kristen Stewart Recalls Her ‘First Time’ With ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’

During MTV’s Sneak Peek Week, the actress and ‘Snow White’ co-star Sam Claflin remember their erotic MTV ‘After Hours’ segment. By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News You may recall a little MTV “After Hours” segment called “Erotica,” in which Josh Horowitz had the cast of “Snow White and the Huntsman” read an excerpt from “Fifty Shades of Grey.” While Chris Hemsworth could barely make it through the reading, Kristen Stewart laughed at some of the lines, Charlize Theron attempted to act out the scene and Sam Claflin wooed us with his luscious tone. When we caught up with Stewart and Claflin again for MTV’s Sneak Peek Week , leading up to Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards at 9 p.m. ET, we asked the “Twilight” star if reading the erotic tale sparked her interest in the role of the timid Ana Steele. “They should ask me!” she joked. “No, I’m kidding. [During ‘After Hours’], that was the first time I read it.” Stewart is currently up for two Movie Awards along with her “Breaking Dawn” co-stars. Through the Movie of the Year and Best Kiss categories, she has a shot at the coveted Golden Popcorn. Voting is still open, so head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to make your voice heard! And who knows, maybe “Snow White” will grab some nominations next year. Until then, we’re pretty sure Sam Claflin has a future in erotica books on tape. “To be honest, having watched that back, I took it way too seriously,” the actor laughed as he recalled the “After Hours” video. “All four of us did very different readings, but I actually properly read it. I got really into it.” Stewart didn’t disagree. She gave it a good try, but Claflin is unbeatable. “What happened to Sam before he was an actor? I was trying to get a job,” he joked. “I will do anything for money.” Horowitz brought out all three books in the “Fifty Shades” trilogy wrapped in a ribbon for both actors as a going-away present. Now they have their own copies of E L James’ series to take with them as they travel. Though don’t expect to see KStew reading her copy as she jets off to and from LAX. “When people read this on airplanes,” she said, “I’m like, ‘Whoa. Take that blanket off your lap! Get off the plane. Sick!’ ” Claflin, however, has a different reaction. “I’m like, ‘Can I borrow that after you?’ ” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now!
