‘True Blood,’ ‘Vampire Diaries’ Stars Get A Supernatural Intervention

‘Teen Wolf’ star Tyler Hoechlin also joins ‘After Hours’ Actors Anonymous group, before MTV Movie Awards. By Terri Schwartz Candice Accola and Joe Manganiello Photo: MTV News “Sometimes I look out the window, and I realize that it’s not going to end well for me. I’m Joe Manganiello, and I’m obsessed with playing werewolves.” And thus starts our special MTV Movie Awards -edition “After Hours,” starring some of our favorite stars from “True Blood,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Teen Wolf.” We always knew there was something a little funny about the actors who love playing supernatural beings over and over and over again, but we didn’t realize how deep the addiction ran. Fortunately, MTV News’ Josh Horowitz put together a very official (and certainly not made-up) support group called Actors Anonymous to help them get through these trying times in their lives. For Manganiello, his obsession manifests in his “monster” coming out. And yes, he is referring to his penis. “The Vampire Diaries” star Candice Accola can “totally relate,” as she recently went to an audition for a Zac Efron romantic comedy wearing some fangs and a cape. But it’s “True Blood” actress Kristin Bauer who has us the most worried. “Why can’t I drink human blood?” she asked indignantly. “Who says that’s so ‘wrong’?” “I love blood,” Manganiello agreed. “It’s good with scotch,” “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Hoechlin added. We’re pretty sure these stars should have a support group just for the belief that there’s not “one thing wrong” with drinking blood. Unfortunately, we don’t provide those services here at MTV, so we’ll just have to let them run wild. If you’ve noticed that many actors who play werewolves tend to get very, very hairy during filming, apparently it just comes with the territory. Hoechlin and Manganiello both admitted to having the same affliction. Maybe Brad Pitt has been preparing for a werewolf role for a while now? The Movie Awards are going to be “After Hours” mania, so make sure you stay tuned to the for some fun surprises. Black Keys: Best Kiss Experts At The Movie Awards?

‘I’m so worried about how we’re going to vote for Best Kiss,’ Patrick Carney jokes to MTV News before tonight’s performance. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Black Keys Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — The Black Keys will put “Gold on the Ceiling” when they take the stage at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards tonight. So what should fans of the Ohio rockers expect when they storm the show? “Well, without spoiling it,” Dan Auerbach teased MTV News during rehearsals at the Gibson Amphitheatre in L.A. But, unfortunately for fans, MTV News had to censor his answer so we wouldn’t ruin the big surprise. In addition to performing, the guys will also get to chill out with some of the biggest stars on the planet, a concept Patrick Carney said really puts him at ease. “We feel really comfortable in these environments,” he joked. “You might not know this, but we were child stars.” While the performance should make some headlines, so will whichever lucky couple nabs the highly coveted Best Kiss prize. When asked if they would be voting for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s smooch in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” the guys didn’t yet know which make-out session deserved their vote. “I’m so worried about how we’re going to vote for Best Kiss,” Carney teased. To see what the guys weren’t allowed to tell you, you’ll have to tune in to the big show tonight, which will also feature performances from Fun. , Martin Solveig and Wiz Khalifa . ‘Project X’ Star Proclaims Himself ‘America’s Dirtbag’

Oliver Cooper is desperate to win the Best Onscreen Dirtbag prize at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Oliver Cooper Photo: MTV News Oliver Cooper wants your vote! The “Project X” star is nominated for a couple of MTV Movie Awards , but it’s the Best Onscreen Dirtbag prize that he’s really after. While promoting this year’s awards show, Cooper petitioned America for their vote. “Listen. Is America listening right now? I want you to vote for me for Best Onscreen Dirtbag because, truly, I am a dirtbag,” he said. This isn’t the first time Cooper has tried to swing the vote . But instead of pointing out why the other contenders — including Colin Farrell, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Aniston — shouldn’t get the award, he explains why he thinks he should. “I f—ed up an entire neighborhood. I didn’t care about my friends. I still don’t care about those guys, OK? What else did I do in that movie? I don’t even remember. It’s all a blur. I don’t even care about the movie — that’s how much of a dirtbag I am,” he said. “I just want that goddamn popcorn, so I can have a career.” That’s when things start to get a little sad. Cooper explains how he’s at the brink of bursting out into Hollywood and needs a Golden Popcorn to help get him there. “Everybody else out there, they’ve got careers, they’re doing movies all over the world. Me? I’m living with my aunt right now. In Encino,” he said. “I’m Jewish, but I haven’t been to temple in over three years. Honestly, I’m a little confused. I don’t have a girlfriend. Recently, the girls I’ve been seeing, they don’t even speak English. Seriously. And that’s because I don’t want to talk to them.” And that’s where it all comes together for Cooper: managing to make us feel bad for him while reviling him at the same time. “I’m a dirtbag,” he promised. “I’m America’s dirtbag.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live this Sunday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET. Related Videos Behind The Scenes At The 2012 MTV Movie Awards

What The Hell?? Texas Prison Inmate Gets Votes In Democratic Primary In West Virginia…”Anybody Buy Barack”

Texas Prison Inmate Gets Votes In Democratic Primary In West Virginia And all because people in West Virginia aren’t feelin Barack Obama: Just how unpopular is President Barack Obama in some parts of the country? Enough that a man in prison in Texas got 4 out of 10 votes in West Virginia’s Democratic presidential primary. The inmate, Keith Judd, is serving time at the Beaumont Federal Correctional Institution in Texas for making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999. Obama received 59 percent of the vote to Judd’s 41 percent. For some West Virginia Democrats, simply running against Obama is enough to get Judd votes. “I voted against Obama,” said Ronnie Brown, a 43-year-old electrician from Cross Lanes who called himself a conservative Democrat. “I don’t like him. He didn’t carry the state before and I’m not going to let him carry it again.” When asked which presidential candidate he voted for, Brown said, “That guy out of Texas.” Judd was able to get on the state ballot by paying a $2,500 fee and filing a form known as a notarized certification of announcement, said Jake Glance, a spokesman for the Secretary of State’s office. Attracting at least 15 percent of the vote would normally qualify a candidate for a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. But state Democratic Party Executive Director Derek Scarbro said no one has filed to be a delegate for Judd. The state party also believes that Judd has failed to file paperwork required of presidential candidates, but officials continue to research the matter, Scarbro said. Voters in other conservative states showed their displeasure with Obama in Democratic primaries last March. “Keith Judd’s performance is embarrassing for Obama and our great state,” outgoing West Virginia GOP Chairman Mike Stuart said. Presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney won West Virginia’s GOP primary Tuesday with more than 69 percent of the vote, with 93 percent of precincts reporting. Rick Santorum followed with 12 percent, while Ron Paul had 11 percent. Brown, the Cross Lanes electrician, went to the polls Tuesday with his 22-year-old daughter, Emily. She planned to vote for Judd too until she found out where Judd has been living. “I’m not voting for somebody who’s in prison,” she said. She was certain about one thing: “I just want to vote against Barack Obama.” Wow. So people are willing to vote for some dude in prison with a shady ponytail just to vote “against Obama”?? SMH. Jennifer Lawrence is Transparent in Rolling Stone [PIC, VIDEO]

And we’re not just talking about her t-shirt…but seriously, just stop and stare at that t-shirt for a little while. We’ll wait. Done? Ok, so Jennifer Lawrence is on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone , and according to her co-stars, she doesn’t have the sort of filter that you get from years of coaching by Hollywood publicists. Her The Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson says that the first time they met, she went on a ” 45-minute rant about zombies and the apocalypse “, and her X-Men: First Class co-star Zoe Kravitz has this little nugget to share: “I’d met her a few times, and she was like, ‘You should come over and we’ll hang out’…So I go over to her apartment, and she opens the door in a towel. She’s like, ‘Come in, sorry, you’re early, I was about to shower.’ And she drops her towel and gets in the shower, and starts shaving her legs, totally naked. She was like, ‘Are we here yet? Is this OK?’ And I was like, ‘I guess we’re there!'” Oh, we’re getting there all right. UPDATE: Now with video! See Jennifer SKIN motion after the jump!

Georgia State Dems Put Super Tuesday To Good Use

‘What’s the best thing to do? Register voters!’ Young Democrats leader Kendra Kelly tells MTV News. By Becca Frucht Students congregate at the Georgia State University courtyard Photo: MTV News ATLANTA — After the collegiate calm of Georgia Tech — cheerful but dignified — the eclectic action at the Georgia State University quad was just what I needed to wake up after an early morning stalking voters at the polls . (And confession time: I ate way too many biscuits.) This campus hot spot is where students congregate every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. (no one has classes then) to peep the Greeks “strollin’ ” and various student organizations promoting their causes. First stop in the coed chaos was a chat with Kendra Kelly, a 22-year-old double major in political science/ journalism, who also happens to be the president of the Young Democrats at GSU. She was not content to take a backseat on the GOP’s Super Tuesday , during which 419 delegates are up for grabs in 10 states among the four candidates still in the hunt. And she wasn’t onboard with trying to manipulate the vote by taking advantage of Georgia’s open primary and casting a ballot for the Republican she thinks is most likely to lose to President Obama in November. Instead, she and her crew of boisterous politicas told MTV’s Power of 12 that they were opting to steal the Republican thunder in a more proactive way. “We decided instead of strategizing our votes, because we have an open primary, what’s the best thing to do? Register voters!” she said. “And furthermore, get their information so we can keep up with them … and keep them informed, so when it comes time to vote in November, they vote on our side.” Right next door to the rowdy Young Dems voter drive, we found 23-year-old Alison Fox from Students for Sensible Drug Policy, who is flexing her political muscle by abstaining from today’s primary, despite the fact that she applauds Libertarian Congressman Ron Paul’s approach to legalizing marijuana. (This seems to be a rather popular stance of his among college students. Just sayin’.) “I believe that right now I’m not gonna vote for any of the Republican candidates only because, unfortunately, I believe that money has too much to say in the candidacy rather than views and policy,” she said. Considering she also told us how her state’s front-runner, former Georgia Congressman Newt Gingrich , grossed out her fellow activists when they attended one of his recent rallies, it doesn’t look like anyone from SSDP will be adding to Gingrich’s delegate count today. “I feel like, that once again, the money comes into play when it comes to his values and his politics,” Fox said of Gingrich. “Actually some of our members from the SSDP went to both the Ron Paul rally and the Newt Gingrich rally which was held in Georgia and while they left the Ron Paul rally feeling enlightened, they left the Newt Gingrich rally feeling nauseated. And very concerned about their futures.” Even without getting their vote on this Super Tuesday, these young women are proving actions can speak louder than polls. Mitt Romney Grabs Three Early Super Tuesday Wins

Newt Gingrich easily takes a must-win contest in Georgia, while Rick Santorum lands Tennessee. By Gil Kaufman Mitt Romney Photo: Getty Images After all the hype, bluster, lead changes and fretting about low voter turnout , early exit polls revealed that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney had scored three early victories in Super Tuesday ‘s primary races. Romney, who was hoping that the 10-state contest would help him finally solidify his status as the leading GOP presidential candidate, was on track to score a decisive victory in his home state of Massachusetts, as well as a win in Virginia, where his only opponent was Congressman Ron Paul. In that contest, The New York Times was projecting that Romney would secure 59 percent of the vote to Paul’s 41. Romney’s lead in Vermont, however, was slimmer at 39 percent to Paul’s 27 with less than one-quarter of precincts reporting. In a victory he said he needed to secure in order to stay in the mix, former Georgia Congressman and House Speaker Newt Gingrich was able to pull off a big win in Georgia, the state with the day’s richest prize . Though he will share the 76-delegate count with either Romney or Santorum (depending on how much of the vote they end up getting), it was likely enough of a victory to keep the Lazarus-like Gingrich in the hunt and to secure him Secret Service protection as of tomorrow. At press time, he had 47 percent of the vote to Santorum’s 24 and Romney’s 22. The day’s second-biggest prize was in the crucial swing state of Ohio , where 66 delegates were at stake and the vote was much too close to call at press time. CNN had Romney at 42 percent to Santorum’s 36 with just a fraction of precincts reporting. Not only is Ohio considered a pivotal state in the general election, but no Republican has made it to the White House without carrying the state in the general election. Santorum appeared to be on the path to winning in Oklahoma, and he’s been declared the winner in Tennessee, which looks like it could be his only walk-off victory of the night. Results from caucuses in Alaska, Idaho and North Dakota will not be available until later in the night. Super Tuesday boasted a total of 419 delegates total, the biggest haul to date in the 2012 GOP race. But as gaudy as that number is, it represents about one-third of all available delegates. The winning candidate will have to roll up 1,144 to secure the nomination and face off against President Obama in November, and with the winner’s circle still overstuffed, that path seems like it will continue to have a number of significant obstacles.
