Kate Gosselin is returning to TLC with her brood, the network announced. A one-hour special this summer will catch us up on Kate Plus 8 … and Minus Jon. “In 2007, viewers first fell in love with one of the most talked about families in reality television history,” the network shared of the Gosselin family in a release. The Pennsylvania-based duo rapidly rose to fame, raising Cara and Mady, now 13, and sextuplets, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, age 9. The couple then dominated news with their off-screen antics, and bitter divorce in 2009. Jon & Kate Plus 8 became Kate Plus 8, then ended in 2011. The TLC special will get Jon & Kate fans “up to speed” on what has changed since, including how the kids have grown, and Kate’s “evolving life and career.” Finally, TLC plans to take a “look back” at some of the most memorable, “poignant family moments” experienced by the Gosselins through the years. Jon to Kate Gosselin: DIE DIE DIE! Don’t expect Jon and Kate to appear on screen together in many of those. Not surprisingly, there was no mention of Jon Gosselin’s name; Jon has firmly held his ground and spoken out against his children being on reality TV. He did, however, just star on Couples Therapy with girlfriend Liz Janetta . Jon made quite an impression there too, unleashing a profane rant about his “narcissistic” ex, saying that Kate Gosselin can f—ing die for all he cares. Kate has also joined the Celebrity Apprentice cast for 2014 … obviously. Most epic news blunder ever? We’re not sure how this could ever be topped. While reporting on a helicopter crash this week, anchors on the Denver Fox affiliate KDVR were flipping through Twitter photos from the tragic incident in Seattle. Viewers saw smoke smoldering… and then a photo of Edward Scissorhands for some reason… and then a PENIS. Yes, the picture of a penis dangling out of a man’s pants was shown on screen for, well, long enough to clearly be recognized as a penis. Alexander Skarsgård has a message for anyone complaining about single digit temperatures as a result of the Polar Vortex : Puh-lease. The actor, who got naked on the True Blood Season 6 finale, has stripped down once again for fans. This time, he’s donning nothing but his birthday suit while sitting on a toilet in the South Pole. Yes, you read that correctly. The shot was shared on Instagram by Inge Solheim, who acted as Skarsgård’s team’s guide on the Walking With the Wounded Challenge. It included the caption: “#southpole -30C What are you reading Alex? The script for season 7 of #truebloodHBO?” You can watch True Blood online to relive the star’s nude turn on the aforementioned finale, which really wasn’t a big deal for Skarsgård. “My dad and his side of the family are old hippies. I was 14 the first time I saw my dad wearing pants,” he said on Conan in June 2013. “He was always naked.” Let’s hope that’s true for Alex as well on True Blood Season 7 . It kicks off some time this summer.
The Walking Dead will soon return to the land of the living… television shows. The highest-rated series in cable history, and the highest-rated show on ALL of TV among 18-49-year olds, comes back with fresh episodes on Sunday, February 9. What can viewers expect, following the death of The Governor that concluded the first half of Season 4? It’s unclear. AMC is remaining mum on spoilers. But the network is warning Rick and Carl not to look back in a new promotional poster, as you can see here.
