Magazine believes they’ve struck gold with a tale about the Duchess of Cambridge desperately trying to set up both play dates and friendship dates with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. “[Kate] is a huge fan and admires [Angelina] greatly,” a source allegedly told the magazine. It all started in June 2015, when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted Pitt and Jolie for tea. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt at Kensington Palace on Friday afternoon,” a palace aide informed Us Weekly at the time. “They discussed their shared interest in combating the illegal wildlife trade.” An insider added that William and Catherine were “really excited” about meeting the power couple. William and Catherine, joined by Prince George, waited to greet Pitt and Jolie outside Apartment 1A, as they did for Michelle and Barack Obama on April 22nd.
