Source: Bennett Raglin / Getty Tommie Lee Indicted On Child Abuse Charges It’s been a few months after her initial arrests, but ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ star Tommie Lee has been officially indicted on multiple child abuse charges in Georgia. TMZ reports that they obtained the indictment filed by the state of Georgia and the details are horrifying. According to the paperwork, Tommie Lee went to her young daughter’s middle school this past October and allegedly disrupted the class, slapped her daughter on the hands with her purse strap, slapped her across the face, dragged her down the hall by her hair and threw her into a metal locker. Tommie faces 7 charges in the indictment, and 3 of ’em are felonies. The rest are misdemeanors. If she’s convicted on all seven, prosecutors say Tommie could be locked up for up to 54 years. Just recently, Tommie announced she would be quitting #LHHATL to focus on bigger things. This seems pretty big to us. You know how the saying goes, don’t you? For John-David Duggar and Abbie Burnett, first came love, as they started courting in June of this year. Then came marriage, as the couple exchanged vows in early November . And now comes a baby in a baby carriage? Perhaps, the Internet is speculating, based on the photo John-David shared on Instagram yesterday, following by a possibly revealing caption. For starters, as you can tell, Duggar is covering up his wife’s stomach, maybe because there’s a child growing inside of there and she isn’t ready to show off her bump just yet. More interestingly, however, this is what he wrote along with the cute snapshot. Hope you all had a very merry Christmas! “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 It doesn’t take a giant leap in logic to decipher this quote a certain way, does it? John-David came right out and talked about a child being born. Cue the questions and the comments! “Are y’all expecting?” one fan wrote. “Oooh a baby hint :),” said another. Granted, Duggar and Burnett have been husband and wife for less than two months. But this is the Duggar family, folks. They get right to baby-making as soon as those vows are exchanged. Cases in point: John-David’s sister Joy-Anna, and his sister-in-law, Kendra, both got pregnant on their honeymoons. For now, however, neither Duggar nor Burnett are saying anything else on the topic. They’re just focused, publicly, on their new marriage and all the joys it has brought them to date. “It little surreal because I’ve dreamed about [seeing her in a wedding gown] ever since I met Abbie,” Duggar said in a video the newlyweds filmed prior to even taking off their wedding attire last month. He added at the time that the pair’s only real immediate plans involved “serving God together and spending time together.” This time may have been without any clothes on and without any protection being used to prevent a pregnancy. As for their wedding itself? “We are so excited to be married!” the stars told Us Weekly very soon after it transpired, saying of the event: “It was a beautiful moment and we so appreciate our friends and family for sharing this day with us. Most of all we are thankful to Christ for bringing us together. “This is going to be an amazing journey!” And we can’t wait to be along for the ride! How many times must Jessa Duggar prove this point, Internet users? She simply is not here for any of your judgmental BS. Just a month ago, if you recall, Duggar showed some impressive snark when she clapped back at someone who mocked her family’s choice of restaurants. In response to this individual asking whether “you guys ever eat anywhere besides Marketplace Grill,” a frequent Duggar family destination in Arkansas, Jessa simply replied: No we don’t. Not exactly overly crude or rude, but Duggar actually deleted the sarcastic retort because it didn’t fit in with her clean and proper brand. Fair enough, we guess. Now, however, Jessa has once again spoken out against some troll on the Internet. And it all started with this seemingly harmless photo below: It features her son, Henry, fighting with his cousin, Meredith, over a toy and it includes a caption that reads in part: “Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Hopefully there is none of this going on at your house. “The gifts are fun, and the food’s gonna be great, but let’s not forget the reason for the season.” Jessa also shared a few Bible verses with this snapshot, but her followers were more concerned with the state of Meredith’s feet than anything else. No, really. We’re not making that up. What’s up with the dirty bottoms, many folks actually asked and wondered, continuing in the tradition of shaming Jessa whenever possible . We can’t really blame her in this case for pushing back a little bit. “Mine looks about the same,” she said in response to a negative comment. “It’s 60 degrees outside today. That’s barefoot weather.” Again: Not exactly a scathing comeback, but this is Jessa Duggar we’re talking about here. The fact that she felt a need to say anything at all proves how fed up she is with strangers focusing on such mundane (read: stupid!) things. She also said: “Yes, it’s Meredith’s toy and Henry was trying to steal it.” Jessa, who is also a mother to a second son named Spurgeon, is all too aware of the criticism her family faces nearly every day on social media. As previously noted, this isn’t the first time she has clapped back at a hater who had something negative to say about her loved ones. Earlier this year, to use another example, Duggar had no patience when some troll criticized her for using the word “training” about raising her kids. This person thought the word ought to be reserved for dogs, not human beings. “We train for occupations, we train for jobs, we hire personal trainers for fitness and we train/teach our kiddos in right behavior in the hopes they will grow up to be caring, thoughtful and responsible adults,” she wrote back, summoning all the sarcasm she could muster and concluding: “But I agree, dogs are not humans. Fans are thanking their lucky stars that Southern Charm wasn’t canceled after Thomas Ravenel’s sexual assault accusations, arrest, and lawsuit. But with the departure of the disgraced former star, what storylines can they look forward to seeing next season? Well, for one thing, Kathryn Dennis has announced that she’s dating Danni Baird. Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis and long-time bestie Danni Baird have been enjoying the winter weather in the Colorado mountains. “Out of our element,” Kathryn admitted in a selfie of the two of them. “On various levels.” Charleston, South Carolina is part of a humid subtropical climate zone. The weather is very different in the Rocky Mountain winter. But it was some of Kathryn’s other posts that really caught the attention of fans. In another photo with Danni, Kathryn writes: “we’re in a serious relationship.” Oh?! Kathryn was not the only one raving about her significant other on social media. “My hot date dressed me,” Danni wrote in the captions of a photo of her own. In the pic, she and Kathryn are both wearing dresses and standing side-by-side. “We would literally be glowing in the dark if it weren’t for @glowboss.co,” Danni added, throwing in what appears to be an untagged product endorsement. Bravo was quick to jump on the story, with it’s Daily Dish blog excitedly talking about the pair’s relationship and years of friendship. So … are they dating for real? RadarOnline reports that Kathryn and Danni are very good friends — but are not romantically involved. “With Thomas getting fired and all the sex scandals hitting the show,” the insider begins to explain. The source continues: “The producers and the network are desperate to drum up publicity for Southern Charm .” “Everyone loves Kathryn,” the insider notes. “And so they’re trying to use anything she does in order to get people interested in the show.” “But she and Danni are friends and they support each other,” the source clarifies. “They’re not romantically involved or dating.” At this risk of foisting labels onto these women, this is more or less the equivalent of two straight girls “getting married” on Facebook because they’re besties. That doesn’t happen so much anymore, because of marriage equality and because Facebook is mostly where old people go to be angry these days. Kathryn and Danni are close friends — which we agree is a very serious relationship. And someone being your “hot date” isn’t necessarily romantic — there are plenty of platonic “date nights” in this world. Some might accuse Bravo of what’s known as queerbaiting in an effort to attract a larger LGBTQ+ audience with false promises. But we think that anyone honestly looking at these posts isn’t going to be misled for long. In real life, Danni ended her engagement to Todd Baldree in 2017. Kathryn, who is truly living her best life these days, boned costar Shep Rose a number of times, but they’re keeping that very casual. A lot of fans would be thrilled to see Kathryn and Danni together, since they would be so non-toxic and supportive. But there’s a difference between wishful thinking and reality. The Duggar family is in Central America, getting dragged for being nuts . But that’s not what has the attention of fans. Followers of the infamous family have noticed that Michelle looks very different. Has she lost weight — or is she, as some fans fear, severely ill? The Duggars have been posting photos from their trip down south. Michelle’s face has looked noticeably different — more so than some added tanning could explain. This has some fans and followers worried. “Michelle looks sickly skinny,” observed one concerned commenter. Others were less concerned. “Michelle looks like she has lost quite a bit of weight,” another commenter observed. That same commenter continued: “Good for her. Wish I could.” Another followed up with a comment: “I agree.” This same person admitted: “I didn’t realize it was Michelle at first.” When people’s appearances change suddenly, it can be jarring for fans who only see them in social media posts. “You can see in her face she lost weight,” that person concluded. “She looks great!” Other fans were more direct with their praise. “Holy cow,” wrote yet another commenter. “Michelle looks amazing!” Several years ago, Michelle spoke out about body image. While she’s not going to win any feminist-of-the-year awards, she made some solid points. “We’re always going to find somebody skinnier than we are, somebody bigger than we are,” Michelle noted. For all but two people on the planet, she was exactly right. “Every girl struggles with, ‘Oh, I wish I looked like that or I wish my hair was like that,’” she admitted. “We go back to the point of who you are and how God made you,” she said. “You’re not your sister.” For Michelle, it’s all viewed through the lens of her faith: “It’s all about being who God wants YOU to be.” Of course, the Duggar family isn’t the kind who purposefully show off their post-baby bodies . At least, that’s not how Michelle raised them to be. “Our interpretation [of modesty is] that from the neck down to the knee should be covered,” Michelle has explained. “By keeping those private areas covered,” she claimed. “There’s not any ‘defrauding’ going on.” That’s an extremely silly word choice, which she explains. “My kids are taught the definition of defrauding as stirring up desires that cannot be righteously fulfilled,” Michelle said. Absurd. Other people’s desires are their business and no one else’s. She concluded: “We don’t believe in defrauding others by the way we dress.” Michelle’s beyond-questionable ideas about whether women are sorceresses who can entrace men with their sin-curves aside … … Her words about respecting your body for its appearance were pretty wise. She frames her version of body positivity through her specific religious beliefs, of course, but that is perfectly okay. So, is Michelle deliberately making an effort to lose weight now that she’s no longer a baby-factory? Is she under the weather and losing weight because of that? Sometimes, that happens on vacations. But sometimes people just drop a lot of water weight when they’re abroad, especially if they are spending a lot of time in warm temperatures. Maybe Michelle will explain. But if she doesn’t, that’s fine. She may believe that her body is her husband’s property, but in reality, her body is her business and hers alone. People are spending a lot more time inside, whether alone or with their loved ones, and I don’t know about your home—but in mine, TV is usually the go-to activity. So, you can understand why some people are having intense reactions to Netflix suddenly deciding to test a new feature on the app…even if it’s not affecting that many shows. In a message to the Los Angeles Times, Netflix confirmed that it’s trying out a new “Instant Replay” button. It’s pretty self-explanatory—viewers are asked if they want to replay a scene they just watched. Sadly, people aren’t here for it. From the L.A. Times : The pop-up feature appears on screen after certain scenes and is available only on a selection of the service’s vast library of original and licensed content. The Los Gatos, Calif.-based digital streaming giant confirmed that it is trying out the feature but added that it hasn’t decided whether it will become a permanent user capability. Netflix didn’t say much, except that the testing will serve as a learning experience: “We’re trying out a feature which gives Netflix members the ability to rewatch favorite scenes and memorable moments with the click of a button,” said a Netflix spokesperson. “Right now we’re just looking to learn from it and may or may not roll it out more broadly in the future.” See how people have been reacting on the flip…folks are so mad that it’s actually kind of hilarious.
Few reality stars have as close a relationship with their fan base as Kailyn Lowry. In addition to starring in Teen Mom 2 , Kail hosts a podcast in which she offers even more details about her personal life, and she’s a popular presence on Twitter. You might say Kail is something of an open book — an apt description, given that Lowry is also a bestselling author . Kail recently published her fourth book, A Letter of Love , and in keeping with her devotion to her fans, she’s been offering autographed copies at a reasonable rate. Unfortunately, it seems some fans who ordered these personalized copies have yet to receive them. Apparently, the problem was that the distributor delivered a shipment to Kail’s house in order for her to sign them, and she was unable to bring the box inside right away. As a result, the books were damaged by the weather, and Kail was unable to ship them out. She explained the situation on Twitter today: “Update on “A Letter Of Love”, I am working with my attorneys to obtain rights to my book so I can have new books printed and sent to those of you who have yet to receive your copies,” Lowry tweeted. “At this time, the publisher does not seem to be issuing refunds or sending out new copies.” She added: “If you are looking to receive a refund from them, I would recommend to dispute the charge with whatever payment method was used to pay. “Contact with the publisher has been very sporadic and I am working as quickly as possible to get this rectified with my attorneys.” For the most part, fans were forgiving, but a few remained upset following Kail’s explanation: “The publisher said they had the books sent to YOU to sign and YOU LEFT THEM OUTSIDE! That’s your fault,” wrote one fan. “YOU said you left them outside How come your not refunding us or having them print more for you? It’s a tough situation, and while the fans anger is understandable, it seems there’s not much Kail can do at the moment. It also seems that she’s deeply upset about the situation. “I think I’m gona eat my feelings & go to sleep,” Lowry tweeted today. Sometimes that’s the only option.
