But it’s not just sundowning demagogues who have been buddying up to RiRi. According to a new report from Radar Online, Rihanna recently formed a close friendship with Meghan Markle. The report follows on the heels of the singer’s revelation that she’s relocated to London in order to more actively participate in her Fenty fashion brand. Rihanna says she enjoys greater privacy in the UK, and as an added bonus, she gets to spend some quality time with the Duchess of Sussex: “They actually have a lot in common in terms of style and a shared need for total privacy in their lives,” a source tells Radar. “They’ve bumped into each other a few times before Meghan was super famous and have a few mutual acquaintances on the Hollywood social scene who’ve put them in touch again recently.” Of course, even if they’ve struck up a friendship, the new besties likely haven’t had much time to hang out in the months since RiRi moved across the pond. It’s been just over a month since Meghan welcomed her first child , which means partying probably isn’t very high on her priority list these days: “Meghan is with her baby right now but once she’s back from maternity leave hanging out with Rihanna is high on her list,” says the insider. “It’s not been easy for her staying cooped up at home,” the source adds. “But she’s needed the time to decompress and bond with Archie as well as get into the shape she feels she needs to be in before facing the world.” Well, if there’s anyone who can help Meg blow off some steam once she reenters society, it’s Rihanna. Fans are losing their minds over the prospect of these two hanging out together, and who could blame them? The image of RiRi and Meghan passing a blunt back and forth is too perfect. Pretty much the only thing that could make it any better is if the Queen joined them. Universe, 2019 has been pretty rough on a lot of people so far — we’re really gonna need you to make it up to us by making that happen.
