Game of Thrones may have sky-rocketed to global popularity due in part to its penchant for blood, gore, sex, violence and suspense. But the biggest surprise of the Game of Thrones finale may have been how the writers tossed all these aspects of the series aside and instead focused on… … a lot of very boring talking. That was our main takeaway from a pretty awful final episode. We explained why we believed this to be the case HERE , but now we're back with a different take on Season 8 Episode 6. We're here to ask a handful of questions about what we just witnessed, from character motivations to confusing plot points and everything in between… 1. That’s All It Took to Kill Cersei and Jaime? A single layer of bricks? Sort of seems like they could have recovered from that sort of blow — or moved a few feet to the left and have avoided the entire avalanche! 2. What Happened After Jon Killed Dany? Just literally: What happened? Drogon (more on him momentarily) flew away with Dany’s corpse… so did Jon confess to the Unsullied? Did they find him crying over what he had just done? Did he run out and confess? How the heck did the show decide NOT to include this very practical and necessary detail? 3. And Then What Happened? Greyworm almost killed Jon for touching his arm and trying to stop him from killing Cersei’s soldiers early in the episode. In what universe do the Unsullied not kill Jon the nanosecond they learn he’s murdered their queen? 4. Instead, They… … contact the Lords and Ladies of Westeros and ask them to pay King’s Landing a visit after they decide to simply imprison Jon for his Queen killing?!?!? 5. Did Drogon think the Pointy Chair killed His Mom? Or Was He Keenly Aware of the Dangers of a Monarchy and Just Really Adept at Identifying Physical Symbolism? Gotta be one or the other, right? 6. Why the Eff Did Anyone Listen to Tyrion? The guy just spent the past several months strongly advocating to Dany; to such an extent that he basically sentenced his best friend to death because Varys disagreed. And now everyone is just totally on board with his Bran-for-King recommendation? Could Tyrion possibly just be a bad judge of character? View Slideshow
