A man claiming to be an employee of a Houston-area medical center called local radio station 97.9 The Box this morning, claiming to have the secret details about the upcoming birth of little Jayonce Dereona Tiana-May Brooklyn Knowles-Carter. I’m just letting you guys know that [while] a lot of people are saying, “Well, Beyonce’s having her baby in New York,” no. She’s having it right here in Houston. Everybody’s thinking it’s New York, that’s why they got so upset: they don’t know the real story. She’s having it here, close to her mom. Asked when Beyonce was scheduled to deliver, the caller replied: One day this week. It’s probably Friday. But she flew in yesterday. Why would she have it in New York? She’s from Houston, her mother’s here, her family’s here… duh! Sounds good. Too bad we know for a fact, thanks to some thirsty Brooklyn restaurateurs that Beyonce was definitely in NYC on New Year’s Eve. And if she was ready to deliver this Friday, as in tomorrow, as in 7 days after being spotted in New York, there isn’t an airline, pilot or doctor on this planet that would have allowed her to fly. Despite being spotted for weeks without their wedding rings, the divorce of Katy Perry and Russell Brand has surprised many, but why did he file divorce from her? Initial reports state that she was surprised by his move, but according to TMZ , Katy wanted him to do it. As the child of two religious parents, Katy didn’t want to file for divorce because she didn’t want to upset her mother and father. However, both Katy and Russell knew the marriage was over. The two were married in October 2010, and have no children together. It’s really sad to see their relationship end, but this union will likely end up a lot of great music as material on Katy’s next album. This is straight telenovela material here!!! Over the weekend, Al Horford married fellow Dominican and ex-Miss Universe Amelia Polanco in a beautiful Christmas Eve ceremony in the D.R. The wedding took place at Amelia’s uncle’s house, who happens to be world renowned singer Juan Luis Gerra and looks like it was quite the classy affair. There’s just one problem: they were both engaged to other people when they met. Vega was engaged to be married to long time beau Rollan Alzerreca while the Atlanta Hawks center was planning a wedding with fiance named Stefanie. We aren’t sure how much Stefanie knew about the affair but we do know that Rollan, who helped fund Amelia’s music career, found emails between his beloved and her now new husband on her computer!! And just to make matters worse, it seems that it was Mr. Alzerreca himself who introduced Amelia to Al!! Further rumors claim that Amelia is currently with child and that is the reason for the shot-gun wedding. Yikes! Here are Al and his ex-fiance, who he was with for almost three years at an NBA All-Star even in Dallas last year. Whatever the situation is, Al’s mom Arelis Reynoso seems pretty happy about her son’s nuptials. Here’s what she told one Spanish-language paper about her new daughter-in-law: “Amelita has a very real perception of life. There’s nothing frivolous or trivial about this. She is a Christian and very confident, with impressive values. With her I just gained the daughter I never had. And even though they surprised us with news of the wedding, we’re all very happy because they will have a home filled with love.” Sounds good. If nothing else, they look like a happy couple. But then husband Russell Brand stepped out on a London street Thursday, also without his wedding band. Now, a drumbeat of rumors about marital woes has grown only louder in the United States and the U.K. amid reports the couple spent the holidays apart. Their usually active Twitter pages have been silent on the issue, and their reps have not commented. Perry, 27, and Brand, 36 , who were wed in October 2010 in India, laughed off reports of problems earlier this month, with Brand telling Ellen DeGeneres, “I am really happily married.” Yeah. It’s probably a wrap. SMH.
