Brand will join Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Jon Stewart at Amnesty International benefit. By James Montgomery Russell Brand Photo: Getty Images Russell Brand is set to make his first public appearance since filing for divorce from Katy Perry when he takes the stage at New York’s Radio City Music Hall as part of an Amnesty International benefit. Brand will perform alongside Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Reggie Watts and others at Amnesty International’s Secret Policeman’s Ball, a long-running celebration of free speech and comedy, set for March 4 at the venerable NYC venue. The event marks the first time the ball has been held in the U.S. and also is Brand’s first scheduled appearance since he and Perry split in December; the “California Gurls” hitmaker has already made a pair of public appearances, first filming an Adidas commercial earlier this month and then returning to the stage for a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia . In a video promoting a then-upcoming comedy tour of American colleges — which was shot in mid-November, before the couple announced their split — Brand was seen jokingly removing his wedding ring . By Jocelyn Vena As Seal preps the release of his album, Soul 2, he isn’t shying away from answering questions about his split from supermodel wife Heidi Klum . In two new interviews, the singer opens up about the breakup. “I think we were shocked,” Seal said on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in an episode airing Tuesday (January 24). “You go into these things with the greatest intentions when you say ‘I do’ and you say ‘Till death do us part.’ Those vows hold value. They are not just words. These things happen. We pretty much said how we feel and made it clear in the release statement.” With regard to the fact that he’s still wearing his wedding ring, Seal added, “I think it’s just pretty much a token of how I feel about this woman. We have eight years, eight wonderful years together. Just because we have decided to separate doesn’t necessarily mean you take off your ring and you’re no longer connected to that person. “We will be connected in many ways till the rest of our lives … through our children and also through this tremendous admiration, respect and love that we have for each other,” he continued. “Will we wear the ring for the rest of our lives? Who knows? But right now it feels really comfortable on my hand, so I have intentions of taking it off anytime soon.” In another interview for the PBS chat show “Tavis Smiley,” set to air on Friday, Seal continues to gush about his ex, and notes that the couple are hardly the first to have a much-publicized split. “In terms of our love and respect for each other, it hasn’t changed at all,” he says. “When two people feel that way about each other, it is easy — it is easier to make that transition. Kandi Burress became well-known as a member of the group Xscape , but she became more famous as a cast member on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.” During a recent interview on “Watch What Happens Live,” Kandi explained that the girl group isn’t likely to reunite in the near future, because she’s not talking to half of the members. Kandi didn’t hint that there was any beef with sisters LaTocha Scott and Tamika Scott, but made it clear that they’re not in touch. Her relationship with T.I.’s wife Tiny is all good, though, and Kandi says the ATLiens still talk. A couple of years ago, Tiny was given a chance to join the “Housewives” cast. The Norcross school is Beaver Ridge Elementary. One of the questions wanted the 3rd graders to figure out how many beatings “Frederick” would get if he was beaten twice a day for a week.
