Ryan Dunn Remembered In Tribute Video

Montage was played at ‘Jackass’ star’s memorial earlier this week. By Kara Warner Ryan Dunn Photo: Dickhouse Productions Earlier this week, Ryan Dunn’s family, friends and loved ones gathered at a memorial held at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles to mourn the “Jackass” star’s death . During the service, a very moving video tribute was played to honor Dunn, the second half of which was cut together by “Jackass” co-star Rick Kosick, and includes a song for Dunn by Roger Alan Wade, “The Light Outlives the Star.” “Ryan was really crazy about my cousin Roger,” Johnny Knoxville said in a statement to MTV News. “He loved his music and really looked up to him. Rog’ was equally as crazy about Ryan and, like everyone else, was shook by his passing. Rest in peace, brother. We love you.” The video tribute is a montage of Dunn’s greatest hits , most of them “Jackass”-related, cut together in a moving and very funny way that only the guys at Dickhouse Productions know how. For more tributes to Dunn, check out Dickhouse’s website. The five-and-a-half-minute video opens with the words “our brother” then cuts to a clip of Dunn walking in an office kitchen, saying hello to Wee-Man and subsequently being knocked to the ground by a giant hand (the same hand was a prominent feature in the “Antiquing” stunt in “Jackass 3-D”). This is followed by shots of Dunn riding an old-fashioned bicycle in a top hat and waistcoat, rolling off a roof in a large bucket, leaving a Port-o-Potty covered in blue paint, getting sprayed with mace while wearing a bear suit, “Poo Diving,” getting kick-boxed by a female boxer, riding small motorbikes and attempting to jump lakes, getting launched in the air and falling into various bodies of waters (lakes and pools, mostly), Dunn in a series of crazy costumes, etc. There are shots of stunts gone wrong, Dunn mugging for the camera and plenty of pranking with his “Jackass” brothers. The video ends with a shot of Dunn standing atop a jump ramp, dressed in a red-white-and-blue Evel Kneivel-like jumpsuit, motorcycle helmet in hand, kissing his hand and reaching it up in a silent prayer. That is followed by a shot of Dunn and Bam Margera laughing themselves silly in front of the London Bridge as Margera’s chair breaks and he falls to the ground, still laughing. Before the screen goes black, the words “We love you Ryan” appear over Dunn’s laughter. Share your condolences for Dunn’s friends and family in the comments below. ‘Jackass’ Star Ryan Dunn Was Drunk When He Died

Police confirm to MTV News that Dunn’s blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit in Pennsylvania. By Jocelyn Vena Ryan Dunn Photo: Eddie Malluk/ WireImage At the time of his fatal car accident earlier this week, “Jackass” star Ryan Dunn was intoxicated, a West Chester, Pennsylvania, police official confirmed to MTV News. The skater and stuntman had a blood alcohol level of .196 when he got behind the wheel on Monday; the legal limit in Pennsylvania is 08. A police official also confirmed that Dunn had been driving his Porsche upward of 130 mph when he crashed and died, along with his passenger, Zachary D. Hartwell . No other substances were found in his body. On Tuesday, police said the investigation into the crash that killed Dunn, 34, and Hartwell, 30, revealed that Dunn’s Porsche may have jumped a guardrail and crashed into a ravine before bursting into flames after the two men left the bar Barnaby’s of America in West Chester . A coroner’s report revealed that both men died of blunt force trauma from the impact of the wreck and burns from the resulting fire. While toxicology results may prove otherwise, an employee of Barnaby’s told MTV News earlier this week that, the night before the crash, Dunn “didn’t seem intoxicated. He seemed like he was having a good time, hanging out with his friends.” The Barnaby’s worker further noted that Dunn “only had a couple beers here. As far as we’re concerned, the biggest thing, our hearts go out to the family and friends, and his loss is a big loss to our community. The biggest thing we’re worried about is his friends and family.” Dunn’s longtime pal Bam Margera tearfully spoke to a Fox affiliate in Pennsylvania near the scene of the accident, saying, “I’ve never lost anybody that I care about; he’s my best friend. “He was the happiest person, the smartest guy with so much talent,” Margera continued. “He had so many things going for him. … It is not right. … It was the worst phone call I ever got in my life.” Share your memories of Ryan Dunn on our Facebook page or in the comments below. New “Playboy Club” TV Gets Blocked & Called Immoral

The NBC station in Salt Lake City has informed the network that it will not air the new series “The Playboy Club” because the affiliate does not want to be associated with the Playboy brand. MTV Cancels Kiddie Porn TV Show “Skins” “For us, the issue is about the Playboy brand, something we believe is associated with pornography and something we don’t want to further in our programming,” Michelle Torsak, programming chief at station KSL. The drama series, produced by Ron Howard/Brian Grazer’s Imagine Television (with 20th Century Fox TV), stars Eddie Cibrian as one of the patrons of the original Playboy Club in 1960s Chicago. Halle Berry Re-Invents Her Body & Career In its newscast item Monday morning to announce its decision not to air “The Playboy Club,” KSL noted that its parent company is a sponsor of an Out in the Light Campaign, “which seeks to educate people on problems associated with viewing sexually explicit material.” In that campaign, the company is partnered with a group called Utah Coalition Against Pornography. The chairwoman of the coalition, Pamela Atkinson, noted in a guest editorial on KSL that “on television, in movie theaters, in music, on the Internet, virtually everywhere — you can find an outlet for material which we find pornographic, or at least, objectionable.” “There is a growing body of research,” Atkinson continued, “that shows exposure to such material indeed leads to many personal and social problems.” Which Artist Did You Vote To Bring Back To Life? American Idol Scotty McCreery Signs Major-Label Deal

‘Idol’ runner-up Lauren Alaina also inks contract with Mercury Nashville/ 19 Recordings/ Interscope. By Gil Kaufman Scotty McCreery Photo: Getty Images “American Idol” champ Scotty McCreery is wasting no time getting his career off the ground. A little more than a week after being crowned season 10 champ, McCreery has signed a major-label deal with Mercury Nashville/ 19 Recordings/ Interscope. He’s also made a bit of history with his debut single, “I Love You This Big.” According to his new bosses, the embracing country ballad is the highest-charting debut for a new artist in more than two decades. “This Big” hit Billboard ‘s Hot Country Songs chart at #32 last week, the best first-week showing since the magazine started using Nielsen’s BDS-based data in January 1990. The song also hit #1 on iTunes and #3 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart. “I am humbled and shocked by this news,” McCreery said in a statement. “I can’t tell you what it means to me to be on the same charts as my musical heroes. I want to thank my fans and especially country radio for their support. I continue to be amazed by everything that has happened to me in such a short time.” While a spokesperson confirmed 17-year-old McCreery is slated to hit Nashville this week to start work on his still-untitled debut, his pal and runner-up, Lauren Alaina, was not left out in the cold. The 16-year-old country/pop singer also scored a major-label deal with Mercury Nashville, and after hitting the CMA Music Fest in Nashville this week, she, too, will begin work on her major-label debut. Before diving into recording and prepping for the “Idols Live!” summer tour, which kicks off on July 6, McCreery will get some big-deal screen time when he presents at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday. In addition, he’ll make appearances at a number of CMA Music Festival activities this week, and on Friday, he’ll have his Grand Ole Opry debut with a performance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” to follow on June 15. Both singers recently told MTV News that they have no plans to stray from their country roots once they get behind the microphone, with Scotty promising he wouldn’t turn into “Country Bieber.” “It’s gonna be a good ol’ country album,” McCreery said. “I like to have that old flavor in my music, but with a contemporary feel, so we’ll see where that leads me. I think it’ll be a good little mix.” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions. Bad Movies We Love: Shanghai Surprise

I tried so hard to find an Oprah-themed Bad Movie We Love this week. Bad news, my darlings: they’re all not good enough. Beloved is too boring, Native Son is too serious, and The Color Purple is too funny. (Trust me.) So I rallied and made big choices. This week I’m commemorating Tree of Life star Sean Penn’s filthy past and Oprah’s biggest finale guest : the ineffable, the insufferable, La Sleaza Bonita herself, Madonna. Read: THIS IS A GREAT DAY. And the movie is a legend among awful, latrine-stink cinema, a rancid little misfortune cookie called Shanghai Surprise . Or as I prefer to call it: Not-So-Fast Times with Frigid Wife .

SNL Scorecard: Was Tina Fey Overshadowed by Captain Jack Sparrow?

There was a sense that, after a few recent not-so-great shows and a month off to recharge (the last new SNL was back on April 9), Saturday Night Live was due for a triumphant return this week — especially with its most heralded recent alum, Tina Fey, hosting the Mother’s Day episode in the same week that Osama bin Laden was killed. And Fey even brought Maya Rudolph along for the ride to help out. So, plenty of material to go around, right? Right?
