Source: Victoria Bee Photography / Getty Florida Great-Grandmother Files Lawsuit Over CBD Arrest A Florida great-grandmother wants an apology and compensation after she says she was unfairly arrested. 69-year-old Hester Jordan Burkhalter was charged with felony possession of hashish after a Disney World security guard found a bottle labeled “select CBD ” in her purse on April 15, according to an arrest affidavit from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Mind you Hester takes CBD oil as directed by her doctor for arthritis. After the Disney incident, the charges were dropped against her but Hester says that’s not enough. She’s now being represented by Trayvon Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump who recently filed a lawsuit on her behalf. The Associated Press reports that Crump said that Disney World and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office “need to take responsibility for their actions.” He’s since filed a suit claiming that Hester’s civil rights were violated. Oop! Did they REALLY have to arrest that lady for CBD oil???

A Pennsylvania woman reportedly stabbed her boyfriend with a box cutter before threatening to kill him because he failed to get her a birthday gift, according to the New York Post on Friday. A woman by the name of Georgia Zowacki had been drinking vodka on her 55th birthday on Wednesday when she is said to have stormed into her live-in boyfriend David Rea’s room in West Newton, allegedly proceeding to slash his arm and hold the weapon to his throat, police told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette . Rea, who met Zowacki two months ago, didn’t completely forget his girlfriend’s birthday–He had taken her out for a meal earlier in the day, but didn’t buy her a gift, a card or any cake, according to cops. Zowacki was also furious that nobody else had gotten her a gift, according to the paper. “She stabs me four times. Then she went to my neck and said, ‘I’m going to kill you,’ ” Rea told cops following the incident. “She got very belligerent.” During the attack, the birthday girl allegedly trashed her boyfriend’s room, smashed his television, and bolted, according to the paper. Georgia Zowacki was charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.
Source: Fuse / Getty New Survey Says Over Half Of American Adults Use Swimming Pool In Lieu Of Shower So according to a new report, you might have some cousins out here using the swimming pool for bathing rather than for say, SWIMMING. According to CBS News , a new survey found that more than half of U.S. adults use a swimming pool as a kind of communal bathtub, admitting to swimming as a substitute for showering or rinsing off after exercise. Folks do this even though two-thirds of the people surveyed say they know that swimming pool chemicals don’t eliminate the need to shower before swimming. “When dirt, sweat, personal care products, and other things on our bodies react with chlorine, there is less chlorine available to kill germs,” Dr. Chris Wiant, chair of the Water Quality & Health Council, said. “Rinsing off for just one minute removes most of the dirt, sweat, or anything else on your body.” The report was conducted online by Sachs Media Group and they surveyed 3,100 American adults. In their study, they also found that 40% of Americans admit to peeing in the pool as an adult. Again, EVEN THOUGH experts warn that when urine reacts with chlorine, it reduces the amount of the chemical available to kill germs. “The bottom line is: Don’t pee in the pool,” said Michele Hlavsa, chief of the CDC’s Healthy Swimming program. Yes, grown adults need to be told this. “Swimming is a great way to be physically active and not peeing in the pool is a key healthy swimming step,” added Hlavsa. If you thought washing and peeing were the only nasty a$$ things people did in the people, prepare yourself. The survey also showed that a quarter of Americans said they’d go in a swimming pool within one hour of having diarrhea and 48% said they never shower before taking a dip. The CDC advises that all swimmers keep out of the pool if they have diarrhea, since this can contaminate the pool with germs and feces, which can make other people sick. Health professionals also say everyone should rinse off before dipping in the pool. Again, you wouldn’t think grown adults wouldn’t have to be told this, but here we are.
Source: PETER PARKS / Getty Suspect Reportedly Kills Pregnant Teen Then Forcibly Removes Her Child A tragic and grotesque act went down in Chicago that’s surely sent shockwaves into the community. According to the Chicago Sun-Times , police suspect a Southwest Side lady lured a young pregnant mother into her home right before the pregnant woman was killed and the child was cut from her body. According to authorities, a body was found in a garbage can on early Wednesday in the suspected woman’s backyard. The body turned out to be that of the pregnant woman, Marlen Ochoa-Lopez. She was reported missing three weeks ago. Authorities say she was strangled to death and they ruled her death a homicide. Family and friends of Ochoa-Lopez said she met the 46-year-old suspected killer on Facebook. The woman reportedly got 19-year-old Ochoa-Lopez to come to her home in the Scottsdale neighborhood by offering her extra baby clothes for her unborn son. Hours after Ochoa-Lopez was last seen on April 23, the older woman phoned 911 for help, saying she had just given birth to the boy inside the home. The suspect then had the nerve to say she was suffering from “post-delivery issues,” according to a police source. Sara Walker, a student pastor at Lincoln United Methodist Church, has been helping the missing teen’s family communicate with police. Walker said the 46-year-old woman later set up a GoFundMe page to raise $9,000 for her baby’s funeral, claiming the baby boy was sick and about to die. An anonymous tip eventually caused detectives to check the parentage of the baby using saliva from the missing woman’s husband, Yiovanni Lopez, and hair samples from Ochoa-Lopez’s place. DNA tests proved that the child belonged to Ochoa-Lopez and her husband. A pregnant woman gone missing. A Facebook group for young mothers. ABC News reports that The United States Marshall’s Service and local agencies took Christian Martin into custody at the airport in connection with three November 2015 deaths. Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear said Martin, a PSA Airlines Pilot, was indicted in the murders of Calvin and Pamela Phillips and Edward Dansereau. Calvin Phillips was found shot to death in his Pembroke, Kentucky, home on Nov. 18, 2015. His wife, Pamela, and neighbor, Edward Dansereau, were found dead in a burned-out vehicle in a nearby cornfield. Martin is facing three counts of murder, one count of arson, one count of attempted arson, burglary in the first degree and three counts of tampering with physical evidence. American Airlines who owns PSA Airlines has since released a statement on the pilot’s arrest to ABC News. “All of us at American Airlines and PSA Airlines are deeply saddened to have learned about these allegations from 2015. Our team was made aware of the indictment this morning after his arrest at Louisville International Airport,” the airline said in a statement. “We have an unwavering commitment to the safety and security of our customers and team members, and we will provide any investigative assistance possible to law enforcement throughout their investigation.” Martin has been placed on administrative suspension. The stylist and Chyna were reportedly at Chyna’s San Fernando Valley home when the two got into a tussle over money that former video vixen allegedly owed. According to police reports filed by the stylist, Chyna then pulled a knife on her after the stylist asked her to cough up the cash. The hairdresser also allegedly left the scene and threw soda cans at Chyna’s car. Chyna’s 6-year-old child, King, was present during the fight prompting the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services to get involved and investigate the dispute.

Prosecutor Chris Darden Withdraws From Nipsey Murder Case Chris Darden is set to appear in court today alongside the man accused of killing Nipsey Hussle for the first and only time; He is withdrawing from the case partly because of the threats he’s received for the defending Eric Holder. Darden announced his decision on his Facebook page, writing, “After centuries of a history of black men hung from trees without trial, or after the thousands of cases of black men tried, convicted and executed without counsel … I cannot understand why in 2019 some people would deny a black man his 6th Amendment right to counsel of his choice. Or why defending such a man should invite threats not only against me but against my children too.” He continued, saying, “The right to counsel is … not only a constitutional right, it is a civil right as well. Just as they were in 1995-Cowards never change. These days these cowards don’t send letters instead they sit anonymously behind keyboards threatening a man’s mother and children. And some folks think that’s funny. It isn’t and I won’t ever forget it.” Darden continued on to address his critics directly, saying, “To those who issued those threats to my children please pay close attention so there is no misunderstanding. Later. F**K YOU!” He ended his statement by saying, “As for me, I continue to thrive. I continue to be loved. I continue to walk with kings. And I will continue my pursuit of fairness and justice on behalf of my clients and others charged with crimes. Thank you.” Chris Darden had been on the receiving end of numerous threats since his decision to represent the man suspected of killing rapper Nipsey Hussle became public. His daughter, Jenee, went on social media after her father intially took the case, also saying that she was “receiving vile comments and messages.” “Like many of you, I found out about my father’s involvement in the case while scrolling through social media. According to reports from TMZ , a studio where the Migos rapper was recording was “peppered with bullets.” Law enforcement sources who spoke with the publication said that the shooting occurred around 9 p.m at the Crossover Entertainment Group studio in Atlanta, Georgia. When police arrived at the scene, they found damage to three vehicles as well as the exterior of the building. There were reports following this incident that one person on the scene had been shot in the leg, but police were unable to locate a shooting victim. Surveillance video shows a person leaning out the window of a car while firing at the building. Anonymous sources also told TMZ that the shooting happened shortly after Offset stepped outside of his recording session to get some air. The remaining people inside the studio ended up hiding in an interior room following the shooting and the rapper had reportedly left the scene already by the time officers arrived. The Migos member isn’t on the best of terms with the law right now–facing three felony gun charges and another warrant for allegedly breaking someone’s phone –so it makes sense that he didn’t want to be seen caught up in the commotion of a crime scene.
