Today, on the somber anniversary of that disaster, Mexico shook again. According to NPR, Mexico City residents had literally JUST participated in a city-wide earthquake drill 2 hours before the ground rumbled angrily beneath them. Kevin Hart Talks With Cops To Catch Extortionists It’s all fun and games until someone’s behind bars. At least that’s what Kevin Hart wants his greedy smash partner to know. After coming clean about stepping out on his wife of one year Eniko Parrish to circumvent a blackmail attempt by one of the women he had extramarital relations with …Kevin is looking to bring the full hammer of the law down on the culprit. According to TMZ , sources say Kevin had a lengthy conversation with law enforcement by phone today, letting them know everything he knew about the people responsible for the extortion attempt. Apparently, there is more than one person looking for a come up off the video. And as for Miss “MoMo,” we hear that even though she’s suspect number one, she swears she had no idea this video was on the way, and she’s just as much of a victim as Kevin. She and her lawyer even claim that she’s ready to take a lie detector test to prove it — provided Kevin and crew come up off a $420,000 check for her time. Sounds SUPER innocent, right? Neilson Barnard/Getty Images for BET ASAP Rocky Signs Deal With Under Armour The latest celebrity to get their hands on a partnership with an apparel brand is ASAP Rocky. Known now more for his attire and dating life than for his music, Rocky is a great fit for a deal with a clothing brand–and he’s just got his with Under Armour. News of the signing first surfaced in July, and was confirmed by the brand via press release on Friday. The partnership will come via the Under Armour Sportswear line, which aims to help Under Armour’s credibility outside of performance wear. Rocky is the perfect person for a deal with this line in particular, if looking to improve their credibility. The brand caught tons of flack for their shoe collaboration with Steph Curry in the past…because they were more like orthopedic dad shoes than some basketball ones. Rocky’s press release about the partnership is as follows: “I wanted more than a collaboration partner. The only way to achieve this is with someone who is like-minded. The Under Armour team, and especially CEO and founder Kevin Plank, has a shared vision, enthusiasm, and desire to do the same. I grew up in Harlem, and had limited resources to channel my inner-creativity, so I spent too much time on the streets when I should have been more productive. I now have the ability to create a better situation for today’s kids so they can go from school to a safe place to create without boundaries.” Rocky previously had a deal with Adidas where he released sneakers with Jeremy Scott.
CNN/Youtube Clay Travis’ Comments On ESPN’s Decision Not To Fire Jemele Hill Clay Travis of Fox Sports and Outkick the Coverage shocked CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin on Friday after he made a completely unnecessary comment during a segment about ESPN’s current Jemele Hill situation. It all happened while discussing the network’s decision not to fire or suspend “SC6” anchor Jemele Hill for calling our white supremacist “president” a white supremacist. Travis is a very vocal conservative as well as a critic of ESPN–when asked about their decision he said the only things he “completely” believed in were “the First Amendment and boobs.” Just went on @cnn and said I only believe in two things completely, the first amendment and boobs and the host lost it. Two things that have only never let me down in this entire country’s history: the First Amendment and boobs.” Travis was–for some reason–proud of himself for his statement. Randy Jackson Says Wissam Al Mana Verbally Abused Janet Jackson If you thought Janet’s divorce from Wissam Al Mana seemed to come out of the clear blue sky shortly after she gave birth to baby Eissa, you aren’t alone. But a new revelation from her big bro Randy Jackson is definitely illuminating the situation for us all. According to People , Randy revealed that Wissam pulled a complete 180 on Janet as soon as she revealed that she was expecting their child. He claims that the Qatari businessman became particularly verbally abusive to Janet, repeatedly calling her out of her name and becoming increasingly controlling toward the end of their relationship. “It was quite an abusive situation. It came on later in the relationship, verbal abuse and being [made to feel like] a prisoner in her own home. No pregnant woman needs to go through being called a b-tch every day. There were things like that. That’s what she went through.” Randy says that as soon as he understood the severity of Janet’s situation earlier this year, he told his sister that she had the choice to either move in with him or he would personally come to their London home and handle things himself. Randy went on to say that while on tour, Janet repeatedly breaks down in tears backstage during the show, as the verbal abuse and bullying from her ex-husband is continuing, with him using their custody arrangement as an intimidation tactic. “What you saw in Houston, it was her situation coming out, what she’s been going through. The abuse is still going on. She has custody and he, of course, allowed her to bring the baby on tour, but it’s constant harassment. This tour almost didn’t happen, but by the grace of God we’re here and we’re very prayerful.” As for why he’s coming forward and telling Janet’s story now, Randy says “enough is enough,” and it’s simply time for the truth of the matter to be made plain. “It’s not about anger or vengeance…We don’t like to put our business out there but sometimes transparency helps you. The devil thrives in darkness. I’m just here supporting her through this time. There’s a lot of pain. Janet’s been through a lot with her divorce. I’ve been through a lot, we all have.” Wow.
