If Screen Gems’ upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller Priest feels a bit familiar to you, there’s a reason: the film reunites star Paul Bettany with director Scott Stewart, with whom he made last year’s avenging-angel apocalypse pic Legion . Produced on a relatively modest budget, Legion made $67 million worldwide but fared poorly with critics and, Bettany admits, suffered from its limitations. With Priest , however, he and Stewart aim to surpass their own benchmark and give audiences something that they haven’t seen before: a 3-D post-conversion job worth the price of admission.
The timing certainly couldn’t be better for the new Upstairs Downstairs : Complete Series box (now available from Acorn Media). The landmark British series about an aristocratic family and the servants who feed and clean them celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, there’s a new reboot of the show premiering this Sunday on PBS, and the success of last year’s Downton Abbey , of which Upstairs is a direct predecessor, whetted viewers’ appetite to revisit the show. Whether or not Upstairs Downstairs actually lives up to its reputation, however, is another matter entirely.

We could care less about whether or not Natalie Portman can dance, but we are extremely skinvested in the following question: is that really her ass? Irish model/actress Caroline Davis (pictured at left), soon to be seen as a medieval hooker in the HBO series Game of Thrones , is claiming that the thong shot heard ’round the world was not actually Portman’s port hole, but hers. In the beginning of the scene, Natalie’s face can clearly be seen as she takes off her dress to reveal thong and bra, so it’s safe to say the booty in that shot is all Natalie. But sources close to the production told FilmDrunk , who broke the story, that the shot where Isabel dives into the water used a “stunt double.” Or, in this case, a butt double. Among the latest speculated additions to the TV singing competition’s coveted panel, which already includes music executive L.A. Reid, is Nicki Minaj . Speaking with XXLMag.com , Cowell addressed whispers that he met with hip-hop’s Harajuku Barbie about the reality show. While confirming that he did talk with Minaj, Cowell insisted that the duo spoke about a range of career ventures. “We spoke to Nicki actually about a lot of projects,” the British music mogul admitted. “It wasn’t specifically about this, but we were just very interested to meet her. I’m a big fan of hers. So I don’t know if it’s gonna be this show or something in the future, but it was definitely somebody I wanted to meet.” As for why the former “American Idol” judge was so persistent on a meeting with the Young Money MC, Cowell pointed to Minaj’s meteoric rise to success. “Off her own back she’s had a phenomenal year last year and she’s gonna have a phenomenal year this year,” he explained. “She’s very smart, very influential, very bright and along with artists like Jessie J. You can’t ignore them and sooner or later they have to be in our world and we have to be in their world.” Whether or not Minaj will make an appearance on “X Factor,” the talent aficionado said he is currently in talks with another hip-hop heavyweight about joining the forthcoming show, which debuts in September. Audition dates for the program begin on Sunday and continue on until late May. Cowell recently spoke to MTV News about what he’s looking for in an “X Factor” contestant. “I love unusual people. I always say, you’ve got to embrace the madness,” Cowell said with a laugh. “I like that we’re going to be very open-minded.
