Bus Driver Found Not Guilty In Crash That Killed 15 People The verdict has come down in the case of the bus driver who was so exhausted that he dozed off while driving and crashed, killing 15 people last year. His lawyer’s defense that the crash was the result of another vehicle that ran the bus off of the road held up in court, as he was recently found not guilty of manslaughter. Fox News A casino bus driver at the helm of a New York crash that killed 15 people last year was found not guilty of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide on Friday. Ophadell Williams was found guilty on one count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Williams wept and covered his face with his hands as the verdict was read. On the one count he was found guilty of, the judge sentenced him to 30 days in prison, which he has served. He also has to pay a fee of $500. Paula Asher, 18, was jailed for two days last week after a status update on Facebook about hitting another vehicle while driving under the influence. She posted, eloquently: “My dumbass got a DUI and I hit a car LOL.” LOL. Or WTF? The four people in the car she struck didn’t sustain injuries and are all fine. Their parents were not fine with Asher’s Facebooking, however, and contacted a local judge . When the judge ordered Paula to delete that post, she refused, and was promptly given a two-day jail sentence for contempt of court. She later apologized, finally. “I didn’t think ‘LOL’ would put me in jail,” Paula wrote. What law the judge invokied when ordering Asher to delete her FB comment is unclear, but the teen faces charges with DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident. Now, similarly, the actress has left the scene of a car accident without any significant injuries. Multiple outlets confirm that Holmes and six-year old daughter Suri were hit by a garbage truck last night while driving in the star’s Mercedes. No one was hurt, but a police report has been filed. “Suri was crying in the car,” says a People Magazine insider, who adds that Holmes was not driving the vehicle. Strangely enough, the crash marked the second time in four days that Holmes and Suri have been involved in an accident.
