Miley Cyrus posted a new photo to Twitter over the weekend. And while the star included along with it a caption that reads “I ♥ #chanel,” along with suspenders bearing that brand’s name, it was clear by the picture that she also loves something else: marijuana. Take note of the leaf sticker on her cell phone: In April, of course, Cyrus was videotaped smoking pot . And the singer did recently collaborate with Snoop Lion . So it’s not as though her affection for the drug is a secret. But Tweeting an image with a prominent marijuana leaf in it? To a fan base that includes many young teenagers? Should Cyrus have thought twice about this one? Sound off now.
Lance Armstrong, who has strongly denied the doping charges that led to him being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles in 2012, is now considering an admission. The New York Times cited anonymous sources and said Armstrong was considering a confession to restore his athletic career in triathlons and running events. Armstrong, 41, was banned for life from cycling and cannot compete in athletic events sanctioned by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and World Anti-Doping Agency. Yet attorney Tim Herman denied that Armstrong reached out to USADA chief executive Travis Tygart and David Howman, director of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Herman said he had no knowledge of any Armstrong admission and said: “When, and if, Lance has something to say, there won’t be any secret about it.” Armstrong, who recovered from testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain, won cycling’s famed Tour de France from 1999-2005. Although he vehemently denied doping, Lance’s career crumbled under the weight of a massive report by USADA detailing allegations of drug use. Armstrong and his teammates on his U.S. Postal Service teams were implicated. The report caused Armstrong to lose most of his sponsors and he stepped down from the board of Livestrong, the cancer-fighting charity he founded in 1997. Armstrong is facing other legal hurdles. The U.S. Department of Justice is considering whether to join a federal whistle-blower lawsuit filed by former Armstrong teammate Floyd Landis. A Dallas-based promotions company has also said it wants to recover several million dollars paid to Armstrong in bonuses for winning the Tour de France. The British newspaper The Sunday Times has sued Lance Armstrong for $16 million after paying him $500,000 to settle a libel lawsuit in his favor.
The Justin Bieber pot photos are not the only scandal making headlines this weekend. Azealia Banks has created quite the stir on Twitter due to her feud with Perez Hilton, which stems from a post on the blogger’s site about a “beef” between Banks and artist Angel Haze. In response, Banks Tweeted: “@PerezHilton does your butthole whistle? Like is your butthole so stretched and raggedy the air whistles when you move?” After Perez shot back with “some of your music is cute, but your attention-seeking ways are pathetic and hurtful. You drag while others choose to uplift,” Banks took the rivalry even further, writing: “omg u should just kill yourself… Like for real. lol what a messy f****t you are.” As you might expect, this word choice resulted in major backlash against Banks, who didn’t back down in her initial reply to the firestorm. “A f****t is not a homosexual male,” she Tweeted. “A f****t is any male who acts like a female. There’s a BIG difference. If u listen to my music and are not offended by the word n***a…. We’re not gonna go here with this f****t s**t… We’re just not. Lol.” But Banks finally acquiesced to the criticism, at least somewhat, ending her portion of the back-and-forth for now with: “My most sincere apologies to anyone who was indirectly offended by my foul language. Not sorry for Perez tho. Lol.”
Photos of Justin Bieber smoking marijuana have surfaced, with the singer acknowledging the incident and making a pledge to fans. TMZ posted the scandalous Bieber pictures , which were snapped at a party inside a Newport Beach hotel on January 2. That’s the day after a member of the paparazzi was killed in pursuit of Bieber, after claiming to a friend that he saw the artist smoking up while driving. Insiders tell the site that Bieber’s close friend Lil Twist was rolling blunts for all attendees at the event, while the star’s security detail was also present. Following the release of the pictures, Justin hit up Twitter and issued the following statement: “Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up. back on tour tomorrow. ready to see u all smile. time to do what im supposed to be doing. performing. #BELIEVEtour i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers. like i said…2013…new challenges. new doubters…Im ready. The rest of her boho-chic ensemble is also part of her character’s look:
Vanessa Hudgens doesn’t just have short hair these days. She also has a short temper, at least when it comes to paparazzi taking photos of her smoking. The actress was snapped with a cigarette in her mouth while riding in a pal’s BMW this week. She reacted by exiting the car and confronting the X17 cameraman responsible for outing this bad habit, seemingly going after his camera while he tried to drive away: Vanessa Hudgens vs. Paparazzi Video rolling, the photographer screamed at Hudgens to “get out of my car,” while the star yelled at witnesses to help and said: “He’s about to run over a man, I hope you’re filming this, a-shole!” See photos from the incident and read more about it at X17 Online . This isn’t the first time Vanessa has gotten into trouble for smoking. In the past, though, a scandal emerged not from any nicotine inhaling, but from smoking hot images of the actress naked .
