The rapper received a $20,000 payday from Birdman, all from a little football bet. YG officially confirmed that his payment came in on his Twitter account on Friday. As you probably already know, The Rams are now set to make their way to the 2019 Super Bowl and play against the New England Patriots on February 3 in Atlanta. Since the Rams’ win earlier in the week, YG has been on social media very publicly demanding that the Cash Money Records CEO pay him his money. Many fans jokingly assumed that since Birdman took almost 10 years to pay his own signee Lil Wayne, he would probably take his sweet time paying YG what he’s owed. 412 People Have Been Fatally Shot By Police This Year But NFL Won’t Let Players Kneel

T he number of police shootings has reached 412 so far in 2018, according to data published this month on  The Washington Post police shootings database. More shootings have happened this year between January and May than the same time last year, according to the Post’s report. Approximately 400 shootings had taken place between that five-month period in 2017. Eighty-five African Americans have died at the hands of police so far this year, said The Post, which has been keeping a record of every fatal shooting in the U.S. by a police officer in the line of duty since January 1, 2015. Eighty-two men and three women have been reported killed. The alarming numbers have stirred more conversations about police reform and accountability. The NFL made a cowardly move to stop players from kneeling on the field for police brutality victims this week. With the rule change, the league gave into pressure from Trump and decided to punish players who get on one knee during the National Anthem to protest the disturbing amount of nationwide police shootings. Activists have steadily spoken out against the NFL’s new anthem policy announced Wednesday (May 23). With fatal police shootings on the rise, the fight against this pattern must continue to grow. Protests have already erupted against these shootings across the nation, and more police reforms must happen to stop this trend. Racial-biased policing needs to be pursued as the nation tries to end these brutality incidents. Barack Obama Proposed To A White Woman Twice Before Michelle As iconic as Barack and Michelle Obama’s relationship is …a new book is claiming that it’s a union that was thisclose to never even occurring. According to Washington Post , a new biography is hitting the shelves that details Barack Obama’s drive and ambition before he began running for public office, and the long-term romance with a white woman that suffered because of it. The new novel, “Rising Star” by David J. Garrow — the same biographer who won a Pulitzer prize for his biography on Martin Luther King — paints a picture of Barack as a man who made many sacrifices to get where he ultimately landed. One of which, his long term serious relationship with a Caucasian woman. Garrow reveals the story of Barack’s relationship with Sheila Miyoshi Jager for the first time. Sheila and Barack lived together in Chicago in the years before he met Michelle, and asked her to marry him on two different occasions before the couple broke up for good — specifically because Barack knew that he needed to identify as a fully Black man, and having a white spouse would hurt his political prospects. Obama believed that he had a “calling,” Garrow writes, and in his case it was “coupled with a heightened awareness that to pursue it he had to fully identify as African American.” A close mutual friend of the couple recalls Obama explaining that “the lines are very clearly drawn. . . . If I am going out with a white woman, I have no standing here.” Hmmm. Now, a new excerpt reveals that Nicki had some choice thoughts on Kanye marrying a white woman over a Black one as well…and how that reflects the way a lot of Black women feel about how desirable they are to successful Black men. “I’m so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they’re going to leave them for a woman of a different race. It wasn’t funny when Kanye said [in Gold Digger], ‘When he get on, he’ll leave your a** for a white girl’, and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. If you’ll recall, in the same interview, Nicki spoke about Sharon Osbourne and pointed out how the co-host of The Talk criticized her cover for her “Anaconda” art — in which she flaunted her fatty in a pink g-string — saying it looked like a “cheap porno cover of a DVD.” However, when Kim Kardashian posted her barely-censored naked selfie earlier this year, she sang its praises and even snapped her own version in support… “So it wasn’t trashy and raunchy when a white woman did it but it was when a black woman did it? When Kim Kardashian’s naked picture came out (Sharon Osbourne) praised it and my fans attacked her for being such a hypocrite. It’s quite pathetic and sad but that is my reality and I’ve gotten accustomed to just shutting it down.” It really looked like Nicki was feeling A WAY about Kimmy during this interview, huh? But not so fast! Nicki says her words were misconstrued a bit and she was in no way “slamming” Kanye — especially since he worked with her an helped put her on.
