Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have both spoken out since rocking the celebrity gossip world with news of their split. And each has said something very, very different. Following a mere eight months of marriage — but a decade of mostly being together, with the occasional hiatus here and there — Cyrus and Hemsworth pulled the plug on their romance over the weekend. The separation was confirmed by a rep for the singer, who said the following to People Magazine: “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. “Please respect their process and privacy.” As you might expect, however, this latter request has been ignored. This likely would have been the case no matter what, considering just how famous both halves of the now-former couple are, but a follow-up to the story has made it impossible for outlets to simply give Liam and Miley privacy. And that follow-up is this: MILEY WAS JUST CAUGHT MAKING OUT WITH KAITLYNN CARTER ! Yes, that is Brody Jenner’s ex-wife. And, yes, she’s a woman. In the wake of this bombshell * , Liam was spotted out in Byron Bay, Australia with his older hot brother on Monday morning. When asked about the situation by The Daily Mail Australia, the actor demurred, wishing his private life to remain as private as possible, which has been his general take for many years now. “You don’t understand what it’s like,” the actor told the outlet. “I don’t want to talk about it, mate.” ( * Okay, fine, perhaps we can’t really call this a bombshell because Miley only just recently said she was NOT a “stereotypical wife,” bristling at the mere use of this word and confirming she’s still very much attracted to women.) As for Cyrus? She has also remained pretty quiet about her relationship with Liam ever since it started way back in 2010 — but she’s never been one to remain quiet on the Internet. Staying very much on brand, she shared the following image on Instagram yesterday, breaking her silence on the end of her marriage by writing some very profound and weird stuff. All totally fine and maybe even admirable things, of course. But the question remains: When did she start dating Kailtynn Carter ? Is she actually dating her? Did she cheat on Liam with her? After a worldwide social media push urging MTV to honor Missy Elliott’s music video artistry, the network has decided to honor the rapper with this year’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Missy has been nominated for 41 VMAs over the course of her career, winning seven. This year will mark the rapper’s first performance at the VMAs since 2003 when she performed “Work It.” The same year, she took home the award for Video of the Year. “Missy’s impact on the music landscape is indelible,” Viacom’s Head of Music and Music Talent Bruce Gillmer said in a statement. “Her creative vision across production, performance and songwriting is unmatched.” MTV is going a step further, linking up with Pepsi to honor Missy with celebrity and fan videos celebrating her legacy. The network is also planning a pop-up that will immerse attendees in some of her iconic videos. No word on a location for that pop-up museum yet, but it’s slated to be somewhere in NYC between August 24th and 25th. The Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award has been given out at the VMAs since 1984 and was named after the King of Pop in 1991. Janet Jackson Reveals She Doesn’t Have A Nanny: ‘It’s My Baby And Me’
Source: Patrick McMullan / Getty Jeffrey Epstein Was Reportedly Left Unattended For Hours Before Apparent Suicide To say there’s a lot of skeptics out there when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein’s apparent suicide is an understatement. According to reports, correctional officers at the New York City prison that was housing the financier and convicted sex offender didn’t check in on him for hours leading up to his apparent suicide on Saturday. Making things even more confusing, this also came after his cellmate was transferred for reasons that were not immediately made clear. The 66-year-old was found unconscious in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, and later pronounced dead. Following reports from weeks before that the billionaire was on suicide watch, people immediately began asking questions about how Epstein could have been able to kill himself while in such a high-security facility. Then, it was reported that f or “several hours” leading up to his death, correctional officers hadn’t checked in with Epstein at all — despite being required to visit him every 30 minutes, according to The Washington Post . Epstein was placed on suicide watch in July and was been given psychiatric evaluations after he was found with bruising on his neck, but was taken off suicide watch by the end of the month. New York City’s chief medical examiner, Barbara Sampson, said on Sunday that an autopsy was performed but more information was needed before a cause of death could be determined. Among those skeptical about the financier’s apparent suicide are *surprise surprise* Donald Trump. The Cheeto-In-Chief retweeted a conspiracy theory on Saturday, alleging (without any evidence, of course) that former President Bill Clinton was somehow connected to the death of the accused sex trafficker.
