According to reports, the firearm went off , sending pieces of glass and metal into his face and brain. FOXSanAntonio reports: The accident happened just after 11 p.m. Monday on Shasta Avenue near Pleasant Road on the South Side. Police said the 16-year-old was playing with a loaded 9mm gun and taking pictures when he shot the phone causing the glass and shrapnel to hit his eye and face. Police are still investigating , but the good news is the teen is in stable condition, although the shards penetrated his brain.
Fans have wondered if mounting pressure from the Free Britney movement would help Britney Spears get out early. On Sunday, their wish seemed to be granted, as she was spotted away from the mental health facility where she’s been staying for weeks. Is Britney out and free to go home? Well … it’s more complicated than that. On Easter Sunday, the talented and luminous Britney Spears was spotted out in the open with hunky boyfriend Sam Asghari. She has been in a mental health facility since late March, as she herself revealed on social media. While fans were relieved to see her out in the open, multiple reports say that Britney’s treatment is ongoing. This is, notably, Britney’s second time — that we know of — leaving the facility since she checked in weeks ago. On April 11, she reportedly departed to get her hair done and later returned. Entertainment Tonight sheds some light on what may have been the real reason that she decided on this temporary commitment. “Britney’s career, caring for her children, and the weight of her father’s illness, has been far too much for her,” the insider explains. “Despite taking time off from performing,” the source adds. “She couldn’t handle the stress.” “She needed not only down time,” the insider continues. “But she decided she needed professional help.” That is largely consistent with what more reliable reports and Britney’s own Instagram post have stated. So, what is Britney’s goal while she’s undergoing treatment? “She wants nothing more than to heal and feel better,” the source affirms. The insider delivers good news: “She has improved while in the facility.” “But,” the source cautions, despite these strides, she is “not going home yet.” We don’t know the exact date on which she entered the facility, but if it’s to be for 30 days, we imagine that her departure date is already scheduled. Britney’s true loved ones are cheering her on. “Those that love and support her say she needs to focus on herself,” the insider reports. But the source acknowledges that “it hasn’t been easy for her to be away from her children.” Britney may be known for her sensational performances and for being one of the greatest singers in human history. She is first and foremost a first-rate mother. Sean Preston and Jayden are the center of her world. The Blast reports that Britney used her father’s illness as a cover for canceling her Domination residency in Vegas. According to their report, Britney had been feeling overwhelmed and was working with doctors to find the right combination of meds to work. (Remember, different people’s bodies are different, so sometimes doctor’s have to play guess-and-check with a patient to get it right) There were unconfirmed claims that Britney had simply stopped taking her medication back in January. A lot of Britney’s fans found it hard to believe the allegation that she’d just decided to deliberately neglect her mental health. Apparently, it was members of Britney’s team who were loudly promoting her Domination residency when Britney’s well being was in decline. She wasn’t the one who needed a reminder of good priorities — they were. Britney’s outings and these more plausible reports also fly in the face of claims that she was forced into the facility. When Britney and her boyfriend both posted to Instagram about her decision, some interpreted it as damage control. As well-meaning as many fans were when they tweeted “Free Britney,” we hope that she did not feel undue pressure from the movement. Britney is entitled to seek help for her well being and she doesn’t ever have to tell us more than she wants to. Rob is defending her in public, and Chyna’s no longer demanding a small fortune — or any cash — from Rob or his family. In a new post about “new beginnings,” Chyna is saying that if people knew her, the real her, they wouldn’t be so surprised. “Growth is painful,” Blac Chyna captions her post. She continues: “Change is painful.” “But,” Chyna expresses. “Nothing is as painful as being where you do not belong!” She tags her post “#newbeginnings.” “Over the last couple of years,” Chyna’s actual post begins. “You guys,” she writes, addressing her fans. “Have been given a perspective of who I am.” No amount of interviews and reality TV appearances can show someone the whole and breadth of who someone is. They’re suing two of Smollett’s defense attorneys, Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian, for defamation and false light. They were initially arrested as suspects in the alleged attack, only to be released later. According to court documents obtained by the Chicago Sun Times, the brothers say Smollett paid them to stage the attack and directed every aspect of the scheme. “Mr. Smollett used his clout as a wealthy actor to influence Plaintiffs, who were in a subordinate relationship to him and were aspiring to ‘make it’ in Hollywood,” the lawsuit said. “Mr. Smollett’s motivation was simple. He wanted his employer and the public to notice and appreciate him as a successful black, openly gay actor. So, Mr. Smollett directed every aspect of the attack, including the location and the noose.” Cook County state’s attorney’s office dropped all criminal charges against Smollett last month after he paid $10,000 and performed community service. After those charges were dropped, the Osundairo brothers claim both lawyers continued to blame them for the attack in multiple media appearances. Glandian is accused of going as far as suggesting Smollett and Bola Osundairo had a sexual relationship during an interview on a podcast. That claim allegedly caused Bola severe distress as he is heterosexual, in a relationship and often visits family in Nigeria. Same-sex activity is illegal in Nigeria and can result in 14 years in prison or death. This federal lawsuit comes on the heels of another lawsuit from the City of Chicago demanding Smollett pay them back for money spent on the investigation.
