Another disturbed Becky is going viral for how she treated two Black men on Wednesday night. 21-year-old Drake Lewis was walking by a Kansas City bar with his friend when he heard a drunk white woman say “these fu**ing ni**ers” as they passed. N ow that the dust has settled, a Black soccer dad reflected on how his encounter on Sunday with deputies could have ended badly for him. See Also: Please Stop Giving Racist White Women Adorable Nicknames   “Anything could have escalated — me going to jail, my kid seeing me like that,” Gerald Jones told ABC News affiliate WJXX-TV on Wednesday. A white woman dubbed “golfcart Gail” on social media confronted Jones at a youth soccer match in Ponte Vedra, Florida after the dad yelled instructions to his 13-year-old son who was playing. Jones explained to her that he wasn’t screaming at the referee. But she felt intimidated and called the cops. A witness, Ginger Williams , who is white, recorded the police encounter and posted it to Facebook under the headline, “Soccer while black.” She didn’t know the father before the incident but felt that she couldn’t remain silent given the wave of similar incidents. Tears rolled down Jones’ face as he recalled having a conversation with his son about the incident. “I’m working hard every day. Do everything right. Love everybody. And my son, he’s like, ‘Hey, I just don’t understand it.’ I don’t understand it. Something has to be done. What can be done? I don’t know, but it’s just too much,” Jones said. Jones believes golfcart Gail owes him an apology. But the actress is currently residing in a rather bad place on Twitter, where numerous users are aghast over negative comments she made in regard to Snow White. Wait… Snow White?!? In what context? S tories of racism involving political candidates in several races have come out ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. The stories have undoubtedly sparked controversy for white male candidates such as Brian Kemp, Ron DeSantis and JB Pritzker . RELATED:  Ron DeSantis’ Racist History Didn’t Just Begin With His ‘Monkey’ Attack On Andrew Gillum Pritzker, who is running for Illinois governor, is the subject of a federal racial discrimination lawsuit. Ten Black and Latinx campaign workers for the candidate, who already has some racist blemishes on his record, are seeking $7.5 million and several reform measures, they said in the suit filed on Wednesday (Oct. 17), reported the  Chicago Sun-Times   The candidate is running a campaign that is a “cesspool of racial discrimination and harassment,” they said. Specifically, Pritzker promoted racial discrimination by “herding” Black and Latino workers into “less desirable jobs than white staffers” with no options for promotions, they said. Organizers of color were sent into the field to perform “racist tasks” such as being told to “go round up 40 Black guys” for an event as part of the campaign, according to the suit. The lawsuit brings up racism wounds from the candidate’s past: In February, the Chicago Tribune released recordings of an FBI wiretapped conversation that Pritzker had with incarcerated former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.  Pritzker referred to Secretary of State Jesse White as the “least offensive” of possible African-American candidates for Barack Obama ’s Senate seat in one taped call from Nov. 14, 2008. The candidate also then hinted that Blagojevich should consider White to replace Obama because “it covers you on the African-American thing.” Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp , who is running for state govenor against Stacey Abrams , has been called out for reported controversial behavior as well. Civil rights groups are suing Kemp for allegedly trying to suppress the Black vote , a practice that has disproportionately affected African Americans. In Florida, Ron DeSantis , the GOP’s gubernatiorial candidate opposing Andrew Gillum , sparked outrage after he told Florida voters not to “ monkey up ” the election by supporting Gillum. The comment took on a racist undertone by using the word, “monkey,” a derogatory insult historically meant to target Black people. The stories of racism among political candidates are seemingly neverending. Russell | Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and TV Distribution Amandla Stenberg Hits Up Live With Kelly And Ryan,  Talks The Hate U Give & More Actress Amandla Stenberg stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan to talk all about her latest film, The Hate U Give , the meaning behind her unique name, and more. For those who haven’t seen the movie , the incredibly talented 19-year-old shared a quick synopsis: “It’s based on this incredible book, by Angie Thomas, about this girl named Star who is code-switching between two different environments—her neighborhood, which is Black and lower income, and the school that she goes to, which is White and privileged. She kind of has to confront who she is and if she’s willing to speak up once this tragic event happens. She is pulled over with her best friend in her neighborhood, by a White police officer, and the police officer thinks that he’s reaching for a gun, when he’s really reaching for a hairbrush—and he shoots him and kills him.” “It follows the trial as these different communities internalize what that means. Her safety is kind of compromised and she has to make the decision to stand up for her community.” When asked by Ryan Seacrest, “What’s been the reaction from teenagers and young adults?” Amandla responds: “Man, it’s been amazing. I mean, it’s been really emotional for sure…especially for Black girls who feel really represented by it and validated by it, which is exactly how I felt when I read the book. It’s amazing.” Amandla also explained the meaning behind her strong, yet adorable , name: “Amandla means ‘power’ in Xhosa and Zulu. It was a part of an anti-apartheid rallying cry in South Africa.” As for whether or not being named “power” makes her feels any added pressure, the rising star’s response couldn’t have been better: “I guess it’s like a prophecy. Stacey Abrams On Steady Grind Rallying Against Voter Suppression Ahead Of Midterms

S tacey Abrams is moving forward with a strong campaign for Georgia’s governor office ahead of the midterm elections next month. RELATED:  Stacey Abrams May Be Reason Why Georgia’s Black Voters Want More Absentee Ballots Abrams, who is on the road to becoming the nation’s first Black female governor, released a new ad on Tuesday (Oct. 16). The candidate, who is running against Georgia Secretary Of State and Republican Brian Kemp , talks about how her childhood and upbringing helped shape her desire to run for governor. “Growing up we didn’t have much. But my family’s challenges showed me what’s possible,” Abrams said in the clip. “I’m running for governor because I believe we can continue the progress we’ve made by building each other up not by tearing each other down.” Abrams also has been speaking out against voter suppression and rallied with other Georgia residents for a group of Black seniors who were blocked from early voting on Monday. “My goal is to make certain that every person be able to cast their vote,” Abrams said to  Think Progress . “That’s why I wanted to come to Louisville to just encourage everyone to take advantage of the chance to early vote.” The candidate has also participated in Atlanta’s Pride Parade and energized voters in the LGBT community on Sunday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. “We’re here because we stand together, because we know that allies do not run from fights. And because we know we all have pride in Georgia,” Abrams said. “We stand with you and not against you.” Kemp is busy facing several allegations of voter suppression targeting people of color . He has vehemently denied the allegations, but civil rights groups aren’t buying his statement, Governing reported. The midterm elections are on Nov. 6. Today on Leah’s Lemonade….She dished the unsaid beef between Ella Mai and Jacquees. According to Ella Mai there isn’t much of one. The singer sat down for an interview and explained that the situation isn’t a beef but when you try to profit off a song that’s not yours… well it’s not going to go well legally. She admitted that they had met and they were cool, Ella Mai admitted she didn’t follow him on social media so there was no way for her to block him…Yikes… Apparently things are all good because they were seen embracing one another on social media. T.I. is in some hot water for teasing a video with a look alike of Melania Trump…Let’s just say the first lady isn’t too pleased. The video shows Donald Trump leaving the White House and the Melania look alike strips all the way naked.  Well the White House isn’t too fond, Melania’s Director of Communications tweeted the video was in bad taste and that Americans should boycott T.I….
