Music legend Jerry Lee Lewis is a married man. The 76-year-old tied the knot with 62-year-old Judith Brown on March 9 in Natchez, Miss., CNN reports. Interestingly, Brown was previously married to the legendary rocker’s cousin, Rusty. Whose sister Myra Gale Brown married Lewis when she was just 13 back in 1957. So, yeah, it’s a little unusual. It’s also Jerry’s seventh marriage overall. Lewis, also known as The Killer, has been a rock-and-roll icon for decades thanks to such classic hits as “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.” Lewis and his sixth wife, who were married for 20 years, divorced in 2004. Here’s hoping Jerry finds happiness this time around. Goodness gracious, indeed!

We have an update on the passing of Whitney Houston. A week after the official coroner’s report listed this singer’s cause of death as being a heart attack, likely related to cocaine use, it’s now been confirmed that the drug was , indeed, discovered in Whitney’s hotel room at the time her body was found. Initial reports had been sketchy on this fact, with rumors circulating that cocaine may have been present in Houston’s system – but no traces of the substances were anywhere near the bathtub in which she drowned. Allegations of someone tampering with the evidence even ran wild. But now sources connected to the investigation tell TMZ that “white, powdery remnants” were taken into custody and later identified as cocaine . Does this put the tragedy to rest? Sadly, probably not. Accusations of who supplied Whitney with her drugs of choice will continue for the foreseeable future. According to TMZ , documents from investigators do not reveal the quantity of the drug found but say simply that among the items recovered by police was “white, powdery remnants.” Quoting unnamed sources, the site said the powder tested positive for cocaine. The L.A. County coroner revealed last week that accidental drowning was the official cause of Houston’s death , adding that cocaine use and heart disease were also contributing factors. According to the coroner’s report, traces of cocaine were found in Houston’s system at the time of death, along with Xanax, Flexeril, marijuana and Benadryl, which officials said played no role in her death. At the time, it was reported that no cocaine was found in the singer’s room when she died, but coroner spokesman Craig Harvey noted that cocaine metabolites were found in her system, leading them to conclude that Houston was a chronic user of the drug. A number of prescription pills were recovered in the Beverly Hills hotel room, but officials from the coroner’s office said there wasn’t an unusual amount of medication. Houston, 48, was laid to rest in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey, on February 18 at an invite-only funeral service at the New Hope Baptist Church in a service that included Stevie Wonder, mentor Clive Davis and CeCe Winans. TMZ also reported that Beverly Hills Police detectives are not investigating the rumors that a friend of Houston’s allegedly removed cocaine from the room following her death because they are not convinced evidence of the drug was swept away before their arrival. It seems likely that Kim Kardashian did not, for once, orchestrate her latest PR bonanza. According to TMZ, the woman behind this idiot’s flour bombing late last week is Christina Cho , an infamous PETA activist known for disrupting events in order to get that organization’s message out. In 2010, for example, she grabbed a microphone from designer Donna Karan and condemned the use of fur in fashion. PETA, meanwhile, has denied any involvement in the flour bombing , although it’s been clear that it stands behind the culprit. Bobby Brown is in trouble with the law once again. The singer was arrested this afternoon in Reseda, California on suspicion of driving under the influence , TMZ confirms, as police pulled the artist over around 12:20 p.m. local time while he was chatting on a cell phone. Brown was then booked and placed in a Van Nuys jail. Friends are reportedly on the way to bail him out as we type. Whitney Houston’s ex, who has not been making positive headlines since his former wife passed away, was also arrested in 1996 on drunk driving charges, eventually serving eight days in jail. In November 2002, meanwhile, he was arrested in Atlanta (mug shots above) and charged with possession of marijuana, speeding and driving without a license or proof of insurance.
This is a sad coda to the news that Whitney Houston’s death has been attributed to accidental drowning, and that cocaine and preexisting heart disease were factors in the incident.
