Bobby Brown WILL Attend Whitney Houston’s Funeral

All may not be completely well between Bobby Brown and the family of Whitney Houston, but a temporary accord has at least been reached. Following questions over whether or not Brown would be welcome at his ex-wife’s funeral – many of his former in-laws believe Bobby has been a terrible influence on both Whitney and daughter Bobbi Kristina – a source tells TMZ: “At the last minute, the family felt that it would keep the peace at the funeral [to have Bobby there] … even though some family members were against it.” Bobby, Bobbi and Whitney during happier family times. The funeral will begin at noon on Saturday; take place in Newark, New Jersey; flags will ( controversially ) be flown at half-staff on the grounds of all government buildings; and the event will be streamed online. Brown will reportedly take a private place after the ceremony is over in order to perform with New Edition in Connecticut.

Nancy Grace Defends Whitney Houston Comments, Gets Served by Dan Abrams on GMA

Dan Abrams is our new hero. The Good Morning America host remained calm and reasonable in the face of Nancy Grace’s condescending absurdity today, as he tried to get Grace to admit that she shouldn’t have wondered about whether or not someone pushed Whitney Houston’s body under water in her hotel room last Saturday. What prompted Grace to hint at that possibility? Nothing in this case, merely her experience as an attorney overall, which gives her a unique view on what comes next. Nancy Grace on Good Morning America “There is nothing delicate or nice about a murder, a death, an unexpected death, or an autopsy,” Grace said. “What that means in the real world, not the ivory tower of Harvard Law School… an autopsy, of why her body was transported to the Coroner’s Office, is to determine cause of death whether it be overdose, natural causes, accident, or homicide. It is not a homicide and I am thankful for that, but I still want the truth.” Okay. That makes her the same as about 100 million other Americans. Why utter a word about anyone shoving Whitney’s head under water? Abrams tried to get his guest to focus on this specific question. “I’m arguing with you over going on television and making a comment that I think was rightfully viewed as inappropriate,” he says in the video above. “And sometimes there’s a time to say ‘you know what, I shouldn’t have said that in retrospect. A nicer way to say that, or a more accurate way to say that, would have been x, y, or z.'” Of course, Grace remained obstinate, and Robin Roberts ended the segment with a simple, obvious point. Well… an obvious point to anyone not looking cash in on a well-publicized death. Why not just wait until the autopsy results are released before commenting at all?

Whitney Houston’s New Jersey Home, Where She Married Bobby Brown, Up For Sale: Take A Peek Inside [Photos]

The New Jersey mansion where Whitney Houston married Bobby Brown, is up for sale. Houston had previously placed the 12,561 square foot estate up for sale at $2.5 million in 2009, and slashed the price to $1.97 million before taking it off the market at the end of 2011. It was relisted in January for $1.75 million. The “round house” features five bedrooms and four bathrooms, and is situated on more than five acres. The house was featured in Bobby Brown’s reality show in 2005, “Being Bobby Brown”. Houston and Brown were still married at the time. Sadly, the photos featured in the listing aren’t representative of the house today. A chain link fence now surrounds the property, and the once beautiful estate appears to be badly neglected with overgrown weeds. Check out more photos of Whitney’s and Bobby’s old crib next…

New Lindsay Lohan Pics: Spreading the LOVE

Lindsay Lohan has been hit or miss with her appearance lately – see WTF-worthy mob wife look last week – but there’s no denying that this falls under “hit.” LOVE Magazine, which apparently exists, just released some hot pics from its new issue, showing Lindsanity in various states of undress at the Chateau Marmont. Standard procedure for Lindsay, really. This is just what she does. The delightful weekly Lindsay Lohan photos showcasing her surprisingly large chest in various positions were taken by famed photographer Terry Richardson. Rocking some flawless hair and makeup, and showing off her assets from several different angles, Lindsay looks great as Richardson always brings out the best. One has to imagine that, wearing an Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra sweater, LiLo’s making a subtle play for the Lifetime Taylor biopic she’s been rumored for. Chris Christie Defends Decision to Honor Whitney Houston with Low-Flying Flags

Whitney Houston will officially rest in peace this Saturday afternoon in New Jersey, as her loved ones gather for a funeral in Newark and millions gather around their computer to watch a live stream. But the circumstances surrounding this ceremony have been anything but peaceful. As Houston’s family continues to battle with Bobby Brown over whether or not the singer will attend, Governor Chris Christie has been forced to address his state’s decision to honor the artist by flying all government flags at half-staff. “What I would say to everybody is there but for the grace of God go I,” Christie said in response to complaints that New Jersey is turning a drug addict into a role model. Other objections to the move emanate from those who believe this sort of memorial should be reserved for members of the military, first responders and elected officials. “I am disturbed by people who believe that because her ultimate demise – and we don’t know what is the cause of her death yet – but because of her history of substance abuse that somehow she’s forfeited the good things that she did in her life,” said the governor during a briefing in northern New Jersey. “I just reject that on a human level.” The funeral raises two questions, both of which we ask of readers below: SHOULD FLAGS BE FLOWN AT HALF-STAFF? SHOULD THE FUNERAL BE STREAMED ONLINE?

Whitney Houston To “Sparkle” On The Big Screen

Here is the original post:

With an original release date not set until sometime in the Fall, rumors are circulating  that Sony Pictures may release “Sparkle” (in which Whitney Houston stars) as early as Memorial Day due to increased fan interest. SOUCE: L.A. Times On Monday morning, Radar Online quoted an anonymous source at Sony saying the release date for the movie, in which Houston plays the mother of aspiring pop singers, is being moved up from Aug. 17 because of fan interest. The film “could be released as early as Memorial Day,” Radar quoted the source as saying. Shortly afterward, a Sony spokesman said that the report was “not true” and that the film would be released on schedule on the third weekend of August. So for now, it appears to be sitting pat. A remake of a 1976 Irene Cara movie, “Sparkle” is still technically in postproduction, though a rough cut has been completed.
