In a new interview with Style.com, Kanye West opens up about his disdain for racism and his love for Kim Kardashian. Even if that love has cost the rapper a few friends. The bulk of the Q&A focuses on Kanye’s new fashion line with Adidas, one he explains is very different from his previous forway into this industry. “With my first collection, they would say, ‘I want to see more of you.’ And I didn’t even know who I was,” West tells Style . “And it was far less defined who I was, and I didn’t know who I was until I had a daughter. “And then I realized that the purpose of life was to protect her and my wife at all costs. And that is who I am.” Kanye showed off his new designs at a fashion show last week… only North West didn’t exactly have a good time there. Elsewhere in the interview, Kanye admits that getting together with his now-wife was met with criticism by some close to him at first. “Soon as we started dating, fashion people were really opposed to the idea of reality stars,” he explains. “And all the relationships, the somewhat friends that I had somewhat built up, completely turned their backs on her and me. They already had their back to her, and now they turned it to me.” It certainly is true that a lot of people hate Kim Kardashian . Kanye, though? Islamic School Of Rhode Island Vandalized With “Hate Crime” Graffiti This is just despicable. Who does something like this to children? According to Providence Journal reports : The Islamic School of Rhode Island was vandalized over the weekend. Hilmy Bakri, president of the school’s Board of Trustees, said Sunday that racial slurs were spray-painted on the school, at 840 Rear Providence St. Photos of the school circulating on social media and sent to The Providence Journal show doors covered with the words, “Now this is a hate crime” and “pigs,” along with expletives referring to the prophet Muhammad and to Allah, the Arabic word for God. “I find it very upsetting,” said Rabbi Sarah Mack, of Temple Beth-El in Providence. “The Muslim community in Rhode Island is very open and peaceful.” West Warwick police would not immediately comment Sunday evening until a police report could be reviewed. The Islamic School of Rhode Island opened in 2003 as the first Muslim school in the state. They’ve never been targeted by vandalization or threats before and ironically this disgusting display happened just one day after the school held a vigil for the three Muslim victims in Chapel Hill, N.C.— Deah Shaddy Barakat, his wife Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha and her sister Razan, who were killed by Craig Stephen Hicks. Hicks says he’s an atheist and police have claimed an ongoing dispute over a parking space fueled the killings but many people believe Hicks actions constitute hate crimes. Is it just us or are anti-Islamic sentiments growing even stronger? It’s so sad.
Earlier this week, Brian Williams was suspended for six months from the NBC Nightly News after being accused of misrepresenting an incident that occurred while he was covering the Iraq War in 2003. In the weeks since the news of the scandal first broke, the beloved anchor’s credibility has come under attack and Williams has been accused of lying about everything from contracting dysentery to watching bodies float past his hotel after Hurricane Katrina. Now, that the floodgates have opened, new allegations against Williams seem to surface daily, and today, at least three different accusers have come forward claiming that the the iconic newsman fabricated various events: First, the Huffington Post published an interview with former Navy SEAL Brandon Webb, who claims that Williams’ was lying when he claimed to have been embedded with SEAL Team 6: “My initial reaction is that it sounds completely preposterous,” Webb says. “There’s a healthy dislike toward embedded journalists in the SEAL community. And especially at SEAL Team 6.” SEAL officials confirmed that their teams do not work with embedded journalists under any circumstances. One spokesman also expressed doubts about Williams’ claim that a member of Team 6 sent him a piece of the helicopter that crashed during the mission to assassinate Osama bin Laden. In addition to that accusation, Williams has been accused of lying about being “at the Brandenburg Gate the night the [Berlin Wall] came down.” Williams arrived in Berlin one day after the historic event. Since he likely would have witnessed some of the wall’s physical removal, he might be technically able to say he was there when it came down, but the comment still seems like an intentional attempt to deceive. Finally, CNN is reporting that Williams may have embellished an encounter with Pope John Paul II that took place while he was a college student in 1979. Williams first claimed that he “shook hands” with the Pope, but later elaborated that they shared a brief interaction, during which he was blessed by the Pontiff. “I don’t really even know where to start with this one,” Chris Soules, The Bachelor himself, writes in his weekly blog discussing last night’s episode. That sums it up perfectly right there. He doesn’t even have to go on. He does, of course, delve into the drama-filled installment, which was jam-packed with awkward moments not even The Bachelor spoilers saw coming … “I had no clue what was happening with Kelsey when she was having her ‘episode,'” Chris Soules writes of The Bachelor Season 19 Episode 6 . “It wasn’t until someone told me that Kelsey was asking for me that I had any inkling something was going on. When I saw her sitting on the floor, I was so worried.” “I felt terrible that something I said had made her panic. I didn’t realize that telling the other girls about our chat would have that kind of effect on her.” “The only reason I said anything was because I was feeling emotional, and I felt it was only fair for them to know where my head was,” Chris adds. “I also didn’t cancel the party just because of that.” “I canceled the party because I knew who I was going to say goodbye to, and not only did I not want to waste anyone’s time, but I also just couldn’t pretend.” “I couldn’t look those women in the face at the cocktail party and act like I was still making up my mind. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a British insurance company commissioned a poll to determine the greatest love letter of all time. Despite some stiff competition from the likes of poet John Keats and Henry VIII (?!), Cash came out on top with this mash note for his wife June Carter Cash, written on her birthday in 1994: If it just got a little too dusty in here for you to make out the text, here’s what Cash had to say to his longtime love: “We get old and we get used to each other.
