Adriana Lima and Marko Jaric Separate After Five Years of Marriage

Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima and NBA player Marko Jaric announced today that they’ve reached a mutual decision to split up. “After long and careful consideration, we have decided to separate after five years of marriage,” reads a joint statement issued by Adriana and Marko to People magazine.  Adriana and Marko married in 2009 after just nine months of dating. Adriana became pregnant with the couples’ first child shortly after their wedding, and she gave birth to a second daughter in 2012. The press release from the couple emphasizes that the health and happiness of their two children continues to be Jaric and Lima’s top priority: “We are grateful to be the parents of two incredible young daughters that we will continue to co-parent. We would greatly appreciate your respect for our family’s privacy as we begin this delicate next chapter for all members of our family.” It’s always sad to see a family breakup, but we’re consoled by the fact that Adriana is back on the market. According to a new report, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are already married . But might Kanye soon be filing for divorce? The latest issue of celebrity gossip tabloid Life & Style claims that Kim cheated on Kanye soon after they got together in 2012… with CHRIS BROWN! “The word is out,” an insider tells the magazine. “And Kanye is not just embarrassed, he’s furious.” Well, sure. Olivia Munn and Joel Kinnaman: It’s Over!

It is all over for Olivia Munn and Joel Kinnaman. The couple of two years split a few months ago, sources have confirmed to Us Weekly, with an insider saying “distance” played a major role in the break-up. “They ended things a few months ago, but both seem fine ,” a mole tells the tabloid. “He’s back filming in Toronto and she’s now in L.A. for good.” Kinnaman is best known for his role as Robocop and also for playing a detective on The Killing. Munn, meanwhile, got her major break on The Daily Show and is now the best part of HBO’s The Newsroom. As recently as February, the stars were seen together in New York, acting all sweet at a Knicks game. The actor then referred to Munn as a “hoot” and “a lot of fun” during an appearance on Today. Donald Sterling on Black NBA Players: I Give Them Money and Food!

A day after audio of Donald Sterling blasting his girlfriend for publicizing her interactions with African-American hit the Internet, another tape of the Los Angeles Clippers being very racist has gone public. In footage obtained by Deadspin, Sterling continues to talk down to V. Stiviano, saying of the black players on his team: “I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them?” Donald Sterling Audio: More Racist Comments! He went on to tell Stiviano he’s not afraid of replacing her with another girlfriend because she doesn’t support his views on race. Hours after his initial comments hit the Internet, Sterling responded in a statement that said what is reflected on the recording is the “antithesis” of what he really believes about minorities. Elsewhere, President Obama has joined the chorus of those castigating this billionaire. “When ignorant folks want to advertise their ignorance, you don’t really have to do anything. You just let them talk. That’s what happened here,” Obama told reporters during his trip to Malaysia. He added that Sterling’s comments were “incredibly offensive” and are an example of how the “United States continues to wrestle with the legacy of race and slavery and segregation.” “That’s still there, the vestiges of discrimination,” the President concluded. “We’ve made enormous strides, but you’re going to continue to see this percolate up every so often.” Meanwhile, TMZ has obtained the photo of Stiviano and Magic Johnson from Instagram, the one that set Sterling off on his racist rant to begin with:

DJ Rashad Dies; Famous Chicago DJ Was 35

DJ Rashad, a famous DJ in Chicago known for creating a style of dance music known as “Footwork,” was found dead yesterday of a suspended drug overdose. He was 35 years old. Detroit’s DJ Godfather Tweeted the news this afternoon, with police then confirming DJ Rashad’s passing and saying his body was found in his Chicago apartment, with narcotics and drug paraphernalia nearby. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.  “We’re absolutely devastated by the news that DJ Rashad has passed away,” wrote the music label Hyperdub on its Facebook page, adding: “It’s heartbreaking to see such a talented and great guy stopped in his tracks like that. So many people do what they do because of him. Our Condolences go out to his friends and family, keep your heads up Teklife Crew x We will really miss you.” DJ Rashad (real name: Rashad Harden) was scheduled to perform alongside DJ Godfather and DJ Spinn at the Inhale Art Expo in Detroit last night. Columbus Short Get Fired From Scandal We last week on reports that ‘Scandal’ producer Shonda Rhimes had issued a warning to troubled cast member Columbus Short to get it together or get kicked to the curb in the wake of his recently physical altercations and legal troubles…..but apparently, he didn’t take heed. Following his wife’s allegations of physical abuse and even death threats that led her to file for divorce and get a restraining order last week, Columbus aka “Harrison” has been officially relieved of his Gladiator duties. According to Madame Noire , he issued this statement via his publicist earlier today: At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. According to US Weekly reports : John Legend has a startling lookalike, and the Grammy-winning singer’s doppelganger is a little baby named Caden! St. Louis native and proud aunt Rachel Ayanaw tweeted a photo of the adorable Legend lookalike on Easter Sunday, April 20. “My nephew looks like John Legend lol,” she wrote in the post alongside a pic of Caden strapped into a car seat. The little tot, 4 months, remarkably resembles the “All of Me” crooner, down to his chubby-cheeks and smiley expression in the photo. Eventually, the tweet went viral and prompted the nine-time Grammy winner to address his baby doppelganger with his own throwback photo. Tim Zickuhr, Ice Road Truckers Star, Charged with Kidnapping & Attacking Prostitute

Tim Zickuhr of Ice Road Truckers fame is charged with first degree kidnapping, extortion, and coercion after allegedly abducting a Las Vegas prostitute. He is also accused of forcing her to jump out of a second story window. According to the official police report, the prostitute goes by Snow White . She told the cops that Tim Zickuhr hired her to perform “services” on December 18 and in doing so, he gave her his ATM card to withdraw her payment. He accused the hooker of taking too much, though, and things got ugly. Snow claims Tim set up a meeting at his apartment the next day to settle the dispute, and when she arrived, he attacked, punching her in the face. He allegedly threatened to kill her if she didn’t return the “stolen” cash. If you believe her side, he didn’t stop too far short of that threat, tying her up with backpack straps, beating her senseless and pouring cold water on her. When he demanded a phone number of someone who could get him the money, Snow pulled a fast one and gave him Tim the number of a cop she knew. Zickuhr actually called it, claiming he was ready to kill her over $1,000. Tim and the police officer (unbeknownst to him) arranged a meeting, only Tim allegedly forced Snow White of out his second story window beforehand. The officer eventually met and arrested the Ice Road Truckers star. At that point, apparently Tim admitted it all – the phone calls, abusing the crap out of Snow White in the room and pushing her out of the window. Insane. Hurricane Carter Dies; Boxer Wrongly Committed of Murder Was 76

Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, a legendary boxer who spent 19 years in prison on a wrongful murder conviction, died this morning at home in Toronto. He was 76 years old. According to friend John Artis, Carter passed away from prostate cancer, a disease for which he was being treated for an unknown period of time. In 1966, Carter was convicted charges of fatally shooting two men and a woman in a Paterson, New Jersey restaurants. It took nearly two decades, but both jury verdicts were eventually overturned on different grounds of prosecutorial misconduct. Prior to his legal battles and imprisonment, Carter was known as a fearsome fighter. He narrowly lost a fight for the middleweight championship in 1964. Carter rose to national acclaim during his lengthy battle to clear his name, with Amnesty International describing him as a “prisoner of conscience” at one point. Bob Dylan also penned a hit track title “Hurricane” that championed his innocence and vilified the cops and became a Top 40 hit in 1976. In 1999, Denzel Washington portrayed Carter on the big screen in a movie also titled Hurricane . After his release, Carter moved to Toronto, where he served as the executive director of the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted from 1993 to 2005.
