Revenge is a hell of a thing In a shocking display of what unbearable grief can drive a person to do, a father has been arrested for allegedly plotting to murder students and administrators at his deceased son’s high school. Rainer Klaus Reinscheid, a 48-year old professor at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), began his alleged crimes in March after his 14-year-old son was disciplined at school, KTLA reports. The teen, who attended University High School in Irvine, later hanged himself in Mason Park Preserve. When the Orange County Register reported on the suicide, several readers commented that they knew the teen and that he had been bullied. However, the Irvine police said they did not find any evidence of bullying. Reinscheid allegedly started five fires at his son’s high school, at the home of an assistant principal from the high school and at the Mason Park Preserve. Between July 4 and July 24, Reinscheid is accused of setting newspapers, fireplace logs, brush and vegetation, a book, and a plastic porch chair on fire. Reinscheid, who taught at UCI for 12 years, was first arrested on July 24 at around 1 a.m. in the park where his son died. Officers had seen him allegedly trying to set a blaze with newspaper and lighter fluid, CBS reports. The father posted $50,000 bail the same day and was released. However, Irvine police detectives Friday found emails on Reinscheid’s cellphone to his wife and one to himself in April and re-arrested him that evening, the OC Register reports. The emails explained in graphic detail his plan to burn down University High School, buy guns, murder school officials and students, commit sexual assaults and eventually kill himself. When asked if he was working alone or targeting a certain group of people, Orange County Deputy District Attorney Andrew Katz said to the Associated Press, “I can only at this point tell you, he laid out in sufficient detail plans to purchase guns and murder lots of people.” This sounds like this sadistic man finally found a perfect excuse to do things he always wanted to do. SMH @ these guys killing this man for a Chrysler 300: Family and friends say a beloved minister was murdered Saturday in northwest Harris County, and now they need the community’s help to find the people who killed him. It happened around 1:30am at the Shadow Ridge Apartments in the 12200 block of Old Walters Road in north Harris County. Investigators identified the victim as 21-year-old Desmond Jones. He ministered and played music at several local churches and was well known in the Houston church community. According to Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Jones returned to the apartment complex after making a run for fast food. As he was parking, the suspects approached him and shot him twice — once in the head, officials said. The suspects reportedly stole the car Jones was driving and left him bleeding on the ground. He was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Jones is survived by his wife and two young daughters. They were inside their home asleep when the shooting happened. Friends and relatives tell us the wife may even heard the gunshots. “She’s hurting but she’s doing well,” Pastor Chris Edwards said. A prayer vigil was held Saturday evening at the spot where he was killed. About 50 people gathered there, asking for the public’s help in finding the two men behind Jones’ murder. “We’re dealing with an innocent man losing his life at the hands of perpetrators who must be caught,” Bishop James Dixon said. The stolen vehicle is a silver 2012 Chrysler 300 sedan with chrome rims and Texas license plate number DS1-L815. The suspects are described only as black males. If you spot the vehicle, consider its occupants armed and dangerous.
Founder and CEO Of Amazon.com Gives $2.5M Donation For Same-Sex Marriage While it’s safe to say most Americans have received a gift from Amazon.com at some point, Washington United for Marriage got a whopper. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie Bezos, made a $2.5 million donation to the advocacy coalition, which supports same-sex marriage in the state of Washington. The donation, which campaign manager Zach Silk called “extraordinary” in a statement, roughly doubles WUM’s budget. State lawmakers approved, and Governor Christine Gregoire signed, a same-sex marriage bill in February. Referendum 74 was brought by an opposing group, Preserve Marriage Washington, to put the issue to voters in November. It is campaigning for “no” votes on the referendum. The Bezos’ donation is believed to be the largest from an individual in support of same-sex marriage, according to WUM. In total, it said it had raised more than $5 million in support of its campaign urging voters to check “yes” on the referendum in November and legalize same-sex marriage. If the referendum is passed, Washington will be the seventh state to legalize same-sex marriage, although the only one to do so via the ballot box. Source

At least Fred Willard is able to laugh at himself. Appearing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon yesterday, a week after being arrested for allegedly having his pants down inside an adult movie theater in Los Angeles, the veteran comedian kicked off his interview with one question for the host: “What do you want to talk about first?” From there, the actor made a few more jokes (“It’s the last time I’m gonna listen to my wife when she says, ‘Why don’t you go out and see a movie?’”) before admitting he did stop by an “exotic” looking theater and it felt like “a trip down Alice in Wonderland and down the rabbit hole,” where he was the “only awake and sober and conscious” person in the theater. But seriously, folks. “It’s very embarrassing,” Willard said. “It’s embarrassing as hell! But let me say this: nothing happened. I did nothing wrong, everything’s being sorted out as we speak.” The actor has been fired from his gig at PBS, but is unlikely to face prosecution “I have great respect for the authorities,” Willard added. “I mean, when we need a policeman, God bless ‘em, they’re there.
