NBC has announced that Nightly News anchor Brian Williams will be suspended for six months without pay. Williams has been accused of lying about events that took place while he was covering the Iraq War in 2003. After he stated on his January 31 broadcast that he was riding in a helicopter that was shot down by an RPG, Williams was forced to admit that he had lied after several witnesses came forward with claims that Williams had, in fact, been miles away when the event that he described took place. Since then, Williams’ credibility has come under attack, and several media outlets have reported other instances in which Williams may have been less than honest with his viewers. Last week, the New York Post claimed that Williams lied his experiences in Hurricane Katrina . Today, the same newspaper reported that Williams lied about another war story , as he allegedly embellished the details of an incident that he experienced in Israel in 2007. Williams announced a leave of absence from the network on February 8, and there was widespread speculation about whether or not NBC would take disciplinary action against the beloved newsman. Williams reportedly had a meeting with network heads this afternoon where he was informed of their decision.

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee had slammed the 33-year-old pop diva for her sexually-assertive demeanor in his book God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy. “I’ve had so much uproar over half a page in my book,” the 59-year-old presidential hopeful said. “I say she’s the most amazing singer, great set of pipes, unbelievable dancer, and she doesn’t need to do songs like Partition and Drunk in Love in order to be an amazing and effective talent.” Then the 34-year-old gospel singer – who’s known the 7/11 songstress since 1999 – set the Republican politician straight. “As someone who has definitely come up in a group with her, has seen her hard work and who she is, I just feel like that album and those songs, it was that one moment where she decided to probably do some songs she has always wanted to do,” the Grammy winner explained to Huckabee. “To shed that ‘I’m a good girl’ [image]. Nancy Grace seems to have a thing with goading famous stoners into debates. Last year, Seth Rogen famously called Grace a “f–king dumbass” after she blamed newly-legal weed for a brutal murder in the state of Colorado. Now, Grace is at it again – nonsensically linking the dumb actions of one stoner to the effects of his drug of choice. And this time the person calling her out is even more unexpected: 2 Chainz!! 2 Chainz, Nancy Grace Debate Yes, “Nancy Grace and 2 Chainz debate” is not a phrase we ever thought we’d hear, but we couldn’t be happier that this clip exists. There are three main takeaways from this video: Chainz’ cardigan game is on point. Hearing Grace say “Titty Boi” and “big, fat doobie” will never not be funny, and Grace might be the dumbest ever allowed on television. There’s no way she believes her own moronic argument, right? It’s probably best if we don’t know the answer to that. And did the words, “If you want to qualify for a home why don’t you just not get arrested?” really come out of her mouth? Sadly, we can imagine Grace (a former prosecutor) thinking that something should be illegal because one person who likes it did something awful. Nancy is really dumb, and really influential, and that makes us sad. So let’s get back to 2 Chainz whose awesomeness here has us grinning from ear to ear. The highlight here is Chainz explaining to Grace that law enforcement relies on tax payer dollars. He folds that explanation into a story about being made to pose with police after being arrested on pot charges. The story effectively highlights just how ridiculous the “war on drugs” has become in this country, but Grace is having none of it. Chainz eventually beat his case in time to celebrate 4/20 at Coachella that year. More importantly, he’s free to engage in intelligent debate on our nation’s drug policy, whereas 20 or 30 years ago, he might’ve been imprisoned. Carolyn Kesel, an upstate New York woman, was arrested on felony DWI charges after driving around a Walmart parking lot wasted on vanilla extract. PURE vanilla extract. Stuff will EFF you up! According to reports, Kesel had a very high BAC – a ridiculous .26 percent, or more than three times the legal limit – when Macedon, N.Y. police busted her. She had reportedly housed two bottles of vanilla extract, a common baking product that boasts a 41 percent alcohol level, putting it on par with most vodka. Kesel told officers she was lost and could not find her way out of the parking lot. Given her condition, and the sheer size of Walmart parking lots? Not shocking. Due to a prior DWI conviction stemming from a 2006 arrest, Kesel was arrested on the spot and also slapped with a felony aggravated DWI charge. Her odd choice of beverage, apparently, is not as odd as you might think. Chris Thomas, a drug counselor with the Wayne County (N.Y.) Mental Health Department, said it’s become not uncommon for people, especially teenagers. As Chris Rock once said, people wanna get high. Take away all the drugs and drinks in the world and … people will just find new ways of getting a buzz on. It makes sense if you think about it. Those who aren’t of legal drinking age can purchase and get plowed by indulging in everyday items like vanilla extract. Like the pre-Walter White days when you could buy Sudafed over the counter, no one will be the wiser when you pick up a couple at the local grocer. “Both kids and adults use it,” he said of the “drink’s” increasing popularity. “It smells like a vanilla [beverage] and no one would know the difference.” Well, unless you down two whole bottles of the stuff and drive around aimlessly.
