Featured in a commercial for the restaurant (below), the bushy-faced individual says he got a Double Down on a date with his girlfriend and “I guess that’s how it all started.” Sure. Makes sense. Based on that logic, it’s a wonder why more guys don’t have sirloin steaks or chicken parmesan sub tattoos all over their bodies. Earlier today, shocking video emerged showing Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams making anti-gay comments at an Atlanta area church in 2010: Porsha Williams: Save the Gays! Joining Cynthia in her criticism is the frequent RHOA guest star known as Miss Lawrence, himself a gay man living in in Atlanta. “I think some women use the community as a convenience…i.e. for gay slang, fan base building and beauty security,” said Lawrence. “But like always, true character always reveals.” Porsha has long been a controversial figure on the Bravo series. Her recent separation from husband Kordell Stewart has been an ugly and public affair and Porsha’s fight with Kenya Moore on the RHOA reunion show led to her arrest on assault charges. The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Williams has apologized for an anti-gay sermon from a few years back that surfaced on the web this week. The star, who was recently charged with battery after beating down Kenya Moore during a reunion show taping, found herself in the hot seat again today. At issue: A sermon she gave that shows Porsha Williams saying gays must be saved – implying they are sinners along the lines of hookers and drug dealers. “We Christians are supposed to be telling the hooker on the street, the drug dealer, the gays, the lesbians – we’re supposed to be trying to save them,” she said. The backlash, as expected, came swiftly. In response, Williams says in a video statement to People that “the sermon was shown not in its entirety,” and that “therefore, the message was omitted.” What message is that? Porsha Williams: Save the Gays! “My heart was heavy and it’s imperative for me to address the issue,” Williams says in her video message, clarifying that “God loves all of his children.” Despite stating that the true intention of her passionate address in church was taken out of context, she is sorry for her words and that they hurt people. Porsha goes on to add that “I apologize that those words hurt the LGBT community, my fans and my supporters. Life is a journey and I’m growing every day.” When she’s not thumping Bibles at High Praise Christian Center Ministries in Lithonia, Ga., the 31-year-old can be seen thumping Kenya on Bravo. Sorry. So you can imagine how Neil McArdle felt when he realized he’d forgotten to reserve St. George’s Hall for his nuptials to Amy Williams until the day of. What you probably can’t imagine is that McArdle staged a bomb threat instead of coming clean, later admitting he was just too embarrassed to confess. He saw her in her wedding gown that morning, the UK resident recalls, and could not bring himself to admit that he screwed up. So he phoned in a hoax: Man Forgets to Book Wedding Venue, Calls in Bomb Threat An investigation led to his arrest, so he’s apparently about as bad at crime as he is at wedding planning. Neil was given a prison sentence of a YEAR. The Guardian says the couple is still together, miraculously, so hopefully he finds some time behind bars to properly plan their wedding, when and if it occurs. On second thought, just hire a wedding planner dude.
