Olivia Munn Figured out Twitter of the Day

Olivia Munn is one of those average at best girls who figured out what it took to get loyal fans, and it unfortunately worked because she irritates me…. She talked nerd shit for nerds making them fall in love with her and nerds are the most loyal fans…not to mention easy to please because they don’t care about how hot she is, they just care that she’s into what they are into, without realizing she is all bullshit because part of being a nerd is the unrealistic fantasy that motivate them to make millions which will in turn make these unrealistic fantasies come true. She figured out the nerd system….not that it was that hard…. Apparently, she’s finally figured out the point of twitter, cuz she posted some cleavage and people are talking about her….and her willingness to whore out…because nudity distracts from adequate at best looks…next stop for her is Playboy…..here are her tits.

Elizabeth Edwards Passes Away at 61

Elizabeth Edwards, a lawyer, best-selling author, mother of three and the wife of two-time presidential candidate John Edwards, died in her North Carolina home. She was 61. Just days after doctors advised her to suspend her cancer treatment , Elizabeth tragically succumbed after battling the disease for over six years. Elizabeth Edwards was surrounded by friends and family in her last days, including John himself. She and John were estranged following the Rielle Hunter scandal. R.I.P. Elizabeth Edwards (1949-2010). Monday, Elizabeth posted what read like a farewell message on her Facebook page reading, “The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that.” “And yes, there are certainly times when we aren’t able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like. It’s called being human,”she added. “But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that, I am grateful.” Elizabeth is survived by a grown daughter, Cate, and two young children, Jack and Emma. Her son Wade died in a car accident at age 16 back in 1996. A graduate of the University of North Carolina Law School, she was her famous husband’s intellectual equal, his chief ideologue and most of all, his rock. Edwards helped remake the role of the political spouse in this era. She was the driving force behind her husband’s rise to the Democratic political elite. As strategist, campaign manager, surrogate and public interpreter for her husband, she earned a nation’s respect – but that respect grew in recent years. John Edwards’ career unraveled as quickly and shockingly after he fathered a love child with Hunter, then lied and possibly illegally tried to cover it up. But Elizabeth’s charm, intelligence and class never wavered, and her willingness to condemn John’s actions and separate from him spoke volumes. Our condolences go out to her children and loved ones.

Sarah Palin Slams ‘American Idol’ For Hosting ‘Talent Deprived’ Contestants

In her upcoming memoir, the former vice-presidential candidate labels unskilled ‘Idol’ competitors ‘victims of the cult of self-esteem.’ By Nuzhat Naoreen Sarah Palin Photo: Jewel Samad/ AFP/ Getty Images “American Idol” may entertain millions of viewers, but Sarah Palin apparently isn’t one of them. In excerpts from her upcoming memoir, “America by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag,” leaked by Gawker , the former vice-presidential candidate slams the reality show for hosting what she refers to as “talent deprived” contestants. “Did you ever wonder where the producers of ‘American Idol’ come up with the seemingly endless supply of people who can’t sing but are deluded enough to get in front of a national television audience and screech out a song anyway?” Palin asks in the book. Palin, whose daughter Bristol Palin is currently on the reality show “Dancing With the Stars,” goes on to say those unqualified contestants who appear on “Idol” are “victims of the cult of self-esteem.” “No one they’ve encountered in their lives — from their parents to their teachers to their president — wanted them to feel bad by hearing the truth,” she writes. “So they grew up convinced they could become big pop stars like Michael Jackson.” But it’s not all criticism. Palin praises former judge Simon Cowell for dishing out hard truths to the competitors. “Cowell can be a little harsh at times, but he upholds the highest standards and something in us recognizes and responds to that,” she writes. “Unfortunately Cowell is almost alone in his willingness to tell hard truths.” Palin further argues that “hard truths” are necessary, as “a growing chorus of voices is trying to convince our kids that hard work isn’t necessary anymore.” Palin’s memoir is set to be released on Tuesday (November 23). What do you think about Sarah Palin’s “American Idol” critique? Tell us in the comments.

Taylor Lautner Should Play Teen Wolverine, Hugh Jackman Says

But ‘can he grow mutton chops?’ the ‘X-Men’ star wonders about the typically hairless ‘Eclipse’ star. By Mawuse Ziegbe Taylor Lautner Photo: Jim Spellman/ WireImage Taylor Lautner already plays one of the most recognizable onscreen characters as werewolf Jacob Black in the teen hysteria-inducing “Twilight” flicks. But another star thinks Lautner should put his ripped physique to good use in another role. “Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman says Lautner could convincingly don a pair of claws as a teen Wolverine in next year’s “X-Men: First Class.” “My only question is: Can he grow mutton chops?” Jackman wondered to Eonline.com’s Marc Malkin . But then, remembering the droves of girls around the world enamored with the considerably less hirsute Jacob, Jackman reconsidered the idea of a woolly Lautner. “Actually, I think people would probably prefer him as a hairless Wolverine than a rather hairy-chested version. Certainly about a billion young girls would,” Jackman observed. Although he’s got a co-sign from the star of the “Wolverine” franchise, Lautner’s not pressed for work. The young heartthrob has some other flicks lined up, including the thriller “Abduction,” which recently started production and stars Lautner as a teen who gets entangled in a web of espionage after seeking out his birth parents. And while he might not be shredding foes as Wolverine anytime soon, the “Twilight” hunk is also slated for a superhero flick in the title role of the upcoming “Stretch Armstrong.” Lautner hasn’t mentioned sprouting heaps of hair for a film, but he has expressed his willingness to transform physically, even abandoning his muscular bod, for the right part. “If it was for a role that I was passionate about, I would definitely do that,” Lautner told MTV News last month. “I want to challenge myself to everything,” he added, noting that he’s open to sinking his teeth into a range of flicks. “I’ve got a really cool action thriller [in ‘Abduction’] and then an awesome superhero movie [in ‘Stretch Armstrong’], but I want to find a great drama script.” Should Taylor consider a part in the next “X-Men” flick? Joe Sestak defeats Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania Primary

U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter on Tuesday was defeated in a Democratic primary in his bid for a sixth term after taking the risky step of switching from the GOP. Voters picked U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak as the party's nominee and rejected the 80-year-old Specter in his first Democratic campaign since his Republican Party defection. With 79 percent of precincts reporting, Sestak received 435,630 votes, or 53 percent; Specter received 384,027 votes, about 47 percent. The vote also was a defeat for President Barack Obama, who supported Specter when he abandoned the Republican Party last year. In speaking to supporters at a downtown Philadelphia hotel after the race was called, Specter thanked Obama for his support. Specter said he had called Sestak to congratulate him and tell him “I think it's vital to keep this seat in the Democratic Party and I will support him.” Specter left while holding hands with his wife, Joan. He didn't answer questions from reporters. The moderate Specter had cast his switch as a decision of principle after inflaming the GOP by voting for Obama's economic stimulus bill. But many Democratic voters questioned his motives. Sestak faces Republican Pat Toomey in the fall election. Specter has been a fixture in American politics for three decades and served in the Senate since 1981, and his switch to the Democrats was a theme that dominated the race. Obama and other top Democrats embraced Specter, who used his willingness to cross party lines on key votes to bolster his clout in Congress. Sestak, a retired Navy vice admiral who has represented a suburban Philadelphia district since 2007, accused Specter of switching parties to save his job. He said Specter couldn't be trusted to support Democratic Party values. In the days before the primary, Specter and Sestak also argued over who had the best chance of beating Toomey in the fall. Specter leaned heavily on Obama's endorsement, repeatedly citing a television ad that used footage from a September rally in Philadelphia at which Obama spoke and get-out-the-vote efforts by the key unions backing him. Sestak tried to harness voter anger over political gridlock and the recession, with Pennsylvania's unemployment rate at 9 percent, its highest in more than a added by: UrbanGypsy

Utah Governor Signs Controversial Law Charging Women and Girls With Murder for Miscarriages

On Monday afternoon, a controversial Utah bill that charges pregnant women and girls with murder for having miscarriages caused by “intentional or knowing” acts, was signed into law by Gov. Gary Herbert. Contrary to media reports last week, the “Criminal Homicide and Abortion Amendments” or HB12, which previously also applied to miscarriages caused by “reckless” acts, was never “withdrawn” by its sponsor, Republican Representative Carl Wimmer (who is crafting similar “model legislation” for other states). After the governor expressed concern over “possible unintended consequences,” of the legislation as written, Rep. Wimmer swiftly introduced a new version, titled “Criminal Homicide and Abortion Revisions” (HB462), which omitted the word “reckless.” Gov. Herbert signed the new bill and vetoed the old one. In a letter to legislative leaders on Monday, the governor wrote: “I appreciate the willingness of Representative Wimmer to reevaluate the impact of potential unintended consequences arising from the inclusion of 'reckless' behavior in HB12. HB 462 is more consistent with the true intent of the legislation and addresses those situations in which the termination of a pregnancy is intentional and is not conducted at a physician's direction.” more at link… added by: WakeUpPeople

Reid open to public option reconciliation vote

WASHINGTON — As supporters of the public option mount a comeback, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) signaled his willingness to pass it through reconciliation Friday. “If a decision is made to use reconciliation to advance health care, Senator Reid will work with the White House, the House, and members of his caucus in an effort to craft a public option that can overcome procedural obstacles and secure enough votes,” Reid's spokesman Rodell Mollineau told The Plum Line's Greg Sargent. “Senator Reid has always and continues to support the public option as a way to drive down costs and create competition. That is why he included the measure in his original health care proposal.” During the week, more and more senators signed on to a letter authored by Sen. Michael Bennett (D-CO) calling for a vote on the public option through the budget reconciliation procedure, which would allow it to pass with a simple 51-vote majority. By Friday, 18 senators were on board. More… http://rawstory.com/2010/02/reid-public-option-white-house-hedges/ added by: SleepDirt
