Just when we thought the outrage over lil Willow Smith’s lost innocence had died down… new reports have surfaced saying her parents marriage is on the rocks again because Will and Jada are at odds over her racy new video and oversexualized image! Via National Enquirer reports : HOLLYWOOD power couple WILL and JADA PINKETT SMITH are at war over their 12-year-old daughter, Willow. The precocious preteen recently released a sexed-up video for her new single, “Summer Fling,” in which she sings about midnight walks on the beach and prances around with boys who look MUCH older than her. A source says mom Jada gave the project the green light – and now dad Will is furious! “He’s fit to be tied,” disclosed an insider. “He almost had a heart attack the first time he saw the video. “Will lashed out at Jada, saying, ‘How could you let my little baby do this?’ Will is very traditional and worries that his kids are growing up too fast.” Will, 44, and Jada, 41, have been married for 15 years, but an insider says the union has been rocked by recurring disagreements over what’s appropriate – and what’s not – for their kids. In December, The ENQUIRER revealed that Will started a family “boot camp” to bring his kids back in line after Willow and her brother, Jaden, 15, pulled a series of out-of-control antics. In April 2012, Willow took to her Tumblr page to write a disturbing post in which she made shocking references to mental illness, suicide and drug use. Jaden, meanwhile, caused a stir of controversy when he was accused of blasting a female fan in an expletive-filled tirade on social media, which he denied. “Will and Jada are bickering nonstop about their children,” continued the source. “They’re locked in a tug of war and don’t agree on anything these days. “Jada is very strongwilled, but now Will is threatening to put his foot down once and for all. “He’s sick of seeing his daughter act like she’s 12 going on 24.” We are inclined to agree with Will that Jada got Willow out here acting a damn fool… But does anyone see the value in letting a 12-year-old live “freely” and express herself in ways some feel are so inappropriate? Is he going to emancipate his kids? … Will Smith Blames Slavery For Bad Black Parenting Will Smith is at it again, this time he finds himself defending the way he parents his children. According to Will, black folks in particular find their family life so bad because they have been conditioned to think a certain way as a result of slavery. Via HauteLiving reports: “There are definite similarities. I grew up in a family business so my father, my mother and all my brothers and sisters worked in the family business, so that’s really the only way I know how to parent. In real situations, you are going out in the real world and you are earning real money. The things you say and do in the world will affect the family for real. My style of parenting is very similar to that of my parents, minus the concept of ownership. I think that, specifically in African American households, the idea coming out of slavery, there’s a concept of your children being property and that was a major part that Jada and I released with our kids. We respect our children the way we would respect any other person. Things like cleaning up their room. You would never tell a full-grown adult to clean their room, so we don’t tell our kids to clean their rooms. Actually, we tell our kids ‘you don’t have a room, that’s our room and we are letting you borrow it.’ So the same way you would say to an adult if you let them use car, you say, ‘Yo man, clean my car! Don’t drive around all filthy like that!’ And it’s perfectly reasonable for you to want an adult to clean your car, so we feel it’s perfectly reasonable to ask our kids to clean the rooms that we are letting them use.” If you grew up in a Black home then you could argue the idea of getting whooped or told what to does conjure an image of slavery. Will Smith’s Son Wants to Move Out According to Radar Online Jaden Smith doesn’t even have his driver’s license, but he is ready to buy his own home and get emancipated from his famous parents. In a new interview with The Sun, Will Smith reveals that his 14-year-old son and After Earth costar recently told him that he wants legal freedom and independence from him and Jada Pinkett so he can buy his own house and live alone – and RadarOnline.com has the details. Will explains that Jaden, who will be celebrating his 15th birthday in July and is close pals with 19-year-old Justin Bieber, asked for a very unique gift. “He says, ‘Dad, I want to be emancipated.’ I know if we do this, he can be an emancipated minor, because he really wants to have his own place, like ‘Ooh,’” Will explained. “That’s the backlash. On the other side, if kids just want to have command of their lives, I understand.” Will, who has two other children, Willow, 12, and Trey, 19, reveals he has a laid back approach to parenting and doesn’t believe in reprimanding his kids. “We generally don’t believe in punishment,” he says. “From the time Jaden was five or six, we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life. I think it’s a much more difficult question to ask someone —’Why was that right?’ — than to try to show them why it was wrong. “Nobody wants to be wrong, all parts of yourself fight like crazy to not be wrong. So I’ll say to Jaden, ‘Why was that the right thing to do for your life?’ and if he can explain why kicking his sister in the chest was the right thing to do, we can see to it that he understands that it wasn’t so smart.” Do you think Jaden is too young to be on his own?
