With her permanent grin and sunny disposition, Drew Barrymore may not strike as you the most likely Game of Thrones fan, but apparently the mother of two sees something of herself in Emilia Clarke’s badass Khaleesi. Barrymore gave birth to her second daughter in April and while she passed up the opportunity to name her kids Rhaegal and Viserion (which would’ve been awesome) she made up for it by posting this photo of herself, her adorable kids, and a shirt every mother should own: Yes, Drew even manages a Khaleesi-esque scowl, as though she were facing down the masters of Meereen rather than posing for a hilarious photo. This pic has earned a spot next to the inspired Game of Thrones-The O.C. mash-up as one of our favorite unexpected GoT pairings of the day. The sometimes controversial 41-year-old View co-host her massive yellow sapphire bling on the morning talk show. Check it out from a couple of angles: Daniel Arik, the owner of Newport Jewelers, tells E! that he was commissioned to craft the ring specifically for Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg : “Donnie was referred to us by a good friend. He came in just before St. Patrick’s Day. He had an idea of what he wanted and was part of the design process.” “When he first came in, we showed him a few rings and he chose bits and pieces from each ring that he liked, we then combined what he liked and created a custom ring.” The color was a given because, well, “Jenny wanted yellow.” As for the finished product? “The ring is over 10 carats .” “The band is 18-karat white gold although you can’t see the band because it’s covered with diamonds. We did a custom basket for the sapphire.” “There is a row of diamonds around the center and from the side view there is a custom made gallery of diamonds. The Hills’ Jason Wahler is the latest star to speak publicly about Philip Seymour Hoffman’s tragic death and their own struggles with hard core drug addiction. Wahler, best known as the bad boy beau of Lauren Conrad , opened up about his past and urged critics to realize that addiction is “more than meets the eye.” “A few years ago, I would host parties at my house in L.A. where there would be 50-100 people raging out of control,” writes the former reality star . “While everyone thought I was enjoying the party as much as they were, I was secretly going into the master bathroom and snorting as much coke and drinking as much alcohol as I could.” “When I was done, I would grab a beer and get back into the party as if nothing happened.” “When I heard of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death , it brought me right back to those days of partying where my addiction was so bad that I didn’t care who was around.” He goes on to add: “I didn’t care how loud the music was, or how fancy the party was.
