Naturally, the internet is viewing this as a prime example of racial profiling in America, a country where a young African-American male can arguably not enter a shop without employees thinking he might steal something. I didn’t think Miranda Kerr could get any more perfect after those pictures we saw of her out in New York yesterday , but this is one time I’m definitely glad to be proven wrong. Because here’s Miranda just leaving her building and still drawing a crowd, and I don’t blame them. I could stand around and watch this woman do pretty much anything. A few weeks after Zendaya dropped out of the upcoming Lifetime biopic based on the life and tragic death of singer Aaliyah, producer Wendy Williams has Tweeted that Ship will take her place. “I’m excited to exec produce the Aaliyah @lifetimetv movie w/ @DebraMChase. Prod starts later this month and @AlexShipppp will play Aaliyah,” Williams wrote online this morning. Zendaya came under fire as soon as she was announced Aaliyah, mostly due to her her light skin tone. The actress tried to remain above the fray, Tweeting that all she wants to do is “honor” the late artist. But the critics would not shut up. Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, will be based on the biography, Aaliyah: More Than a Woman and tell the story of a star who was killed at the age of 22 in a plane crash. Candy will get your hate flowing… South Carolina Ku Klux Klan Hand Out Bags Of Candy To Recruit Via Fox Carolina reports: The KKK is recruiting in the Upstate. And a Seneca subdivision woke up Sunday to find bags of candy on their driveways with literature directing people to “Save our land, join the Klan.” One family in the neighborhood is especially concerned, not realizing that the Ku Klux Klan, known for violence against African Americans and minorities through its history, was still around. Now they’re scared, afraid of the KKK’s reputation and they’re upset that the organization that’s classified as a “hate group” is in their area. A voicemail message picked up when someone dials the “Klan Hotline” listed on the paper. It starts with, “Be a man join the Klan! Illegal immigration is destroying America,” discusses immigration concerns and ends with, “always remember if it ain’t white, it ain’t right. White power.” Robert Jones, the Imperial Klaliff of the sect, the Loyal White Knights, returned a call to FOX Carolina. He said that this weekend was their national night ride, a recruitment event they have three times a year. He said that chapters across the country drop literature overnight. Jones said that the hotline has gotten around 20,000 calls a day and many people are interested in joining his cause. The woman from Seneca, who does not want to be identified, said her family was on their way to church Sunday morning when they ran over the bag and stopped to check it out. She said it shocked her and made her angry. “[I] talked to several neighbors. They were very angry, very upset, very ashamed at the same time – that this exists,” the woman said. “Ashamed to face our neighbors that do not have the same color skin that we do.” Jones said that his members don’t target homes for their “national night ride.” “I mean, we can’t tell who lives in a house, whether they’re black, white, Mexican, gay, we can’t tell that,” said Jones. “And if you were to look at somebody’s house like that, that means you’d be pretty much a racist.” He said they’re not a hate group but a civil rights organization following the Bible. He said the Klan has always been strong throughout South Carolina and that this type of recruitment is nothing new. With more than 8,500 members, Jones said these days their focus is protesting against illegal immigration. He said people who receive the candy and literature shouldn’t be fearful unless they’re doing something that the Klan considers morally wrong. “You shouldn’t have to wake up and fear that somebody might burn a cross in your yard or throw something like this out in your driveway with nothing but hurt in their intention,” said the Seneca woman. The Loyal White Knights are allowed to speak their minds, protected under the First Amendment the same as anyone else. Jones said his chapter is planning a public protest against illegal immigration in North Carolina on August 9, with a cross burning after dark. He said people in the area will see more of this type of recruitment. We wonder if they were giving away these candies…

Brooklyn Woman Found Living With Mother’s Corpse For 3 Years According to NY Post reports: A Brooklyn woman spent three years living in a cramped apartment with her dead mom — propping her up at the dinner table and sleeping next to her skeleton every night, The Post has learned. Chava Stirn, 28, even dressed like her mother — wearing the same black outfit and shoes that Susie Rosenthal had on when she died. Stirn set the bones of her mom, Susie Rosenthal, 61, on a bed of trash bags in the kitchen of their Borough Park apartment, a law-enforcement source said. For the slumber parties, she dragged a chair into the kitchen to snooze next to the corpse — leaving her twin bed covered in stacks of paper. Neighbors didn’t smell anything suspicious until the super of the building tried to investigate a leak coming from the apartment on Monday afternoon, police sources said. Stirn refused to open her door, so emergency workers knocked it down — and found her in a chair, looking disheveled, surrounded by waist-high piles of trash, police sources said. She refused to let anyone inside the apartment, so a relative would sometimes leave food outside her door, the police sources said. When cops approached Stirn, she was acting “erratically.” She was taken to Maimonides Medical Center for a psych evaluation. She believed her mom had “ left her there to die,” a police source said. The cause of Rosenthal’s death is not yet clear. Yikes… Neighbors said the daughter never left the house and they’d hear weird noises coming from the apartment.
