Rachel Uchitel Speaks on Pregnancy, Second Chances

Rachel Uchitel might be the most famous “other woman” of all time. At least in modern celebrity gossip times. That much is unquestioned. She was the first of Tiger Woods’ mistresses to be revealed, but before that, was linked to Bones ‘ David Boreanaz. Both rich stars were married with kids at the time, something that isn’t lost on the 37-year-old Uchitel. “Everyone deserves a second chance,” she tells Celebrity Baby Scoop . With her first child due on this week, the reality TV star says it’s time to “forgive” and “move on.” While the infamous Uchitel admits “my name precedes me,” Rachel is trying to heal the past and “have some acceptance with myself.” Rachel is opening up about her “great” pregnancy, excitement about motherhood and hopes for a brighter future with husband Matt Hahn and their baby girl. “I’ve moved on and I hope other people will too and see that I am doing my best to try and have a normal life,” Rachel Uchitel shares with the site. Excerpts from her interview below: On handling intense public scrutiny : “I moved on a long time ago and it’s odd to me that a lot of people haven’t. People will still hear my name, an article will come out about me, I’ll see the negative spin on it and I’m not sure why.” “It was three years ago that my name was in the paper so much. I’ve actually never commented on anything and did my best to keep my head above water.” “But it’s tough when you have people judging you so harshly.” “I’ve moved on and I hope other people will too and see that I am doing my best to try and have a normal life. You can’t make everybody happy and people are going to think what they want to think.” On the real Rachel Uchitel : “It’s almost like the crazy person saying, ‘I’m not crazy!’ [laughs]. People have a preconceived notion about somebody and nothing’s going to change that unless you meet that person.” “You can read tabloids about celebrities, and most people have never met these celebrities, and they judge them based on how the story is written.” On Jessica Simpson’s baby name choice : “I know that a lot of people were giving Jessica Simpson a hard time about Maxwell which I found interesting because people are so judgemental.” “If you meet somebody somewhere and you ask what name the baby is, you would never say, ‘That is so awful,’ or ‘They’re going to call that kid maxi-pad.’ You would never say that!” “It’s such a personal choice. It’s so awful for poor Jessica who is probably hormonal and going through all these changes to hear people making fun of her child’s name.” Follow the link to Celebrity Baby Scoop for the full story!

Some Sports Swirl: Jamaican Sprinter Usain Bolt Accused Of Suffering From “White Woman Complex”

Jamaican Sprinter Usain Bolt Accused Of Suffering From “White Woman Complex” Looks like Jamaicans are NOT feelin Usain Bolt’s swirl relationship with that Slovakian chick we posted back in March: Usain Bolt, who has been dating Lubica Slovak for six months and the relationship is described as “very serious”, has been engulfed in a race row as Jamaicans have accused him of suffering from “white woman complex” due to his fashion designer girlfriend. His arm around her waist, the world’s fastest man and his latest girlfriend are the picture of togetherness. “Love has no race – it’s a heart to heart connection,” the Daily Mail quoted a friend of Slovak as saying. But 25-year-old Bolt has come in for criticism from fellow black Jamaicans unhappy that he has chosen a white partner. “Really now Usain! Some successful black men obviously suffer from a white woman complex. You too?,” one online posting said. “Another one of our men snatched,” another said. “Out of all the girls on this island you pick a snowbunny. These superstars will always disappoint if we depend on them to raise our racial identity,” one of the many protests said. He hopes to smash his own records and retain his titles in London this summer, watched by his Slovakian-born girlfriend. The 28-year-old emigrated to Canada with her father when she was 14 and studied fashion design at the Ryerson University in Toronto. She moved to Jamaica after she ‘fell in love’ with the island during a holiday in 2000. Slovak was introduced to Bolt last year through a mutual friend, reggae singer Tami Chynn, with whom she owns an award-winning clothing line called Anuna and a Kingston boutique. Shortly after they met, she interviewed Bolt for a feature in a Slovakian newspaper and they began dating in mid-November. Fiercely private, the couple made sure they were not seen together at functions and spent most evenings at Bolt’s gated home in a suburb of Kingston. But when a picture of them kissing was published in the Jamaican Observer last month, they received a barrage of abuse. The accompanying article included a controversial cartoon of a black woman with ‘local’ written on her T-shirt looking upset while Bolt runs into the arms of ‘Slovakian fashion designer’. ‘They make he mingle with white girls. She just divorce him and take aways his money,’ one reader responded. ”I hope when he’s ready to settle down he chooses a beautiful Jamaican black woman … In the meantime have fun ‘responsibly’, cause some ‘pretty girls’ just a wait fi ‘lock u down’ for the wrong reasons,’ another added. Others called Bolt ‘the next Tiger Woods’, referring to the mixed-race golfer and his 60-million-dollar divorce settlement with Swedish former model Elin Nordegren. Source

REVIEW: Kathleen Turner’s a Kick — Up to a Point — in The Perfect Family

Casting Kathleen Turner as a small-town mom nominated for “Catholic Woman of the Year” is about as risky as it gets in The Perfect Family , first-time director Anne Renton’s soft-willed religious tolerance parable. The whiskied voice alone makes it sound like Tallulah Bankhead has risen from the dead and crashed the sacristy where Monsignor Murphy (Richard Chamberlain) is laying out his vestments for Sunday Mass. But as the anodyne network drama title suggests, petty ironies are more this movie’s speed. Turner plays Eileen Cleary, pious community pillar and well-blinkered mother of a lesbian daughter named Shannon (Emily Deschanel) and philandering son Frank Jr. (Jason Ritter). Eileen’s husband Frank Sr. (Michael McGrady) first appears to be the long-suffering one: Eileen quietly relishes her identity as the local do-gooder; if her insistence on the Clearys’ arid weekly family dinners is any indication, maintaining that identity may have more to do with her good works than Christian selflessness. In fact Frank Sr. was a handful in his day; 10 years sober, his role in their relationship has a distinctly penitential vibe. But then everyone seems to humor Eileen. A religious dinosaur roaming a modern world, for much of the film she is the one who requires tolerance. Shannon is five months pregnant and set to marry Angela (Angelique Cabral), a union everyone but Eileen accepts, including Angela’s brassy Latina mother (Elizabeth Peña). After her poor reaction to this news sends Shannon to the hospital (a soap opera move that happens twice), Eileen goes into charitable mode, bestowing kindness on the sinner but continuing to hate the sin. Frank Jr. gets stricter treatment, but then he is leaving a wife and kids for a manicurist (Kristen Dalton); the suggestion of vaguely defined unhappiness in his marriage is meant to instill sympathy. The plot hinges on the anticipation of the Archbishop of Dublin’s arrival, when he’ll forgive everyone’s sins and decide who’s the Catholic-est of them all. Eileen’s main competition is a supercilious church groupie and longtime rival named Agnes (Sharon Lawrence). Agnes is open about her hypocrisies, where Eileen keeps up a tight social front. That she doesn’t seem to have a problem lying about her loved ones opens the quality and function of Eileen’s faith to question, but the script (by Paula Goldberg and Claire V. Riley) falls short of matching Turner’s game performance with a character study that teases out the complications of a self-identifying good Christian. Instead the tone hovers between mild satire and soapy melodrama. Launched into the space between those two modes, a line like “I don’t have to think, I’m a Catholic!” — Eileen’s response to an accusation of closed-mindedness — falls flat. Especially when compared to the recent Natural Selection , in which a woman stifled by a dogma-driven life goes rogue, The Perfect Family seems to resist introspective pit stops, cruising toward its tidy resolution with a host of missed opportunities in its wake. Even Eileen’s climactic confession feels like a clockwork bid for empathy. At critical moments Renton’s direction feels a couple of seconds off the beat; often the dramatic center of an obviously dramatic scene (Eileen’s home interview with a church delegation and Frank Senior’s sudden flight from the marriage are two examples) never quite materializes. It’s still a kick to watch Kathleen Turner don a housedress and trade soothing pieties with Richard Chamberlain. The Perfect Family feels like it could have been more than that, but I suppose counting its blessings is the more Christian thing to do. Follow Michelle Orange on Twitter . Jesus Take The Wheel: Woman Admits She Planned Hubby’s Murder With Her Preacher!!!

This lady ain’t isht and neither is the preacher who delivered the eulogy knowin’ full well he murked dude… SMH! Missouri Woman Pleads Guilty To Plotting Husband’s Murder With Family Preacher Teresa Stone, her voice sometimes unsteady and at least once close to a sob, pleaded guilty Monday to helping plan the March 2010 slaying of her husband, Independence insurance salesman Randy Stone. According to prosecutors, she conspired with her minister, David Love, who admitted last year that he fatally shot Randy Stone in his Noland Road insurance office. Love is serving life in prison in the case. Teresa Stone, 40, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder, a class B felony, with the understanding that her maximum sentence would be 10 years, officials said. Jackson County Circuit Court Judge Marco Roldan scheduled a June 15 sentencing hearing. During a 20-minute proceeding in the Jackson County Courthouse Annex in Independence, Teresa Stone gave brief, affirmative answers to a series of questions from Roldan, assuring him that she understood the charges and that she was waiving her right to a trial. She didn’t explain what prompted the killing but grew emotional when she admitted, while answering questions from her lawyer, John P. O’Connor, that she helped plan her husband’s murder. Although prosecutors have not volunteered the evidence that led them to Stone and Love, relatives of Randy Stone have pointed to a long love affair between the two. In November, Love pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action. His decision to plead guilty was not contingent upon him testifying against Teresa Stone, Love’s lawyer said at the time. Love once was the pastor of the Stones’ Independence church and delivered part of the eulogy at Randy Stone’s April 2010 memorial service. In a self-help manual that Randy Stone routinely consulted, he identified Love as the “most influential” person in his life, and attended weekly counseling sessions with him. Stone family members have said they believed that he did not know of his wife’s affair with Love. Love resigned as pastor of New Hope Baptist Church shortly after Independence police searched the church for evidence in Stone’s killing. Love soon moved to South Carolina and was working as a truck driver there when authorities arrested him in November 2010, after a Jackson County grand jury indicted him on charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Randy Stone, 42, had been active in the church at 18000 E. Lexington Road, including driving a Sunday school bus. Stone once led a mission trip to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he and a crew of volunteers helped establish a new church. Just months before his death, he and his family traveled to Argentina to bring fellowship and encouragement to another New Hope Baptist Church member who, with his family, was working to establish another church. But Stone left the church about two weeks before he was killed, according to Koehler, who said he was apparently upset that funds raised for specific projects may not have gone to those projects. Her son, she said, had been going through a personal transition. At the time of his death, he was in the process of setting up as an independent insurance agent. Independence police found Stone’s body in his Noland Road insurance office on March 31, 2010. At Stone’s memorial service, Love told mourners: “We come to the word of God to try to reconcile the difference between man’s point of view that death seems so permanent and God’s point of view that death is precious. “We sit here and we weep not just because of the separation from our loved one but because of all the questions that death brings, questions like ‘Why?’ ‘Why him? ‘Why now?’ “Without answers, death seems so cold.” Randy and Teresa Stone, who married in 1990, had two children, Michael and Miranda. Teresa Stone had pleaded not guilty last June, after a Jackson County grand jury indicted her for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. She remains free on bond, although Roldan instructed her to meet with parole and probation workers who will prepare a sentencing assessment report and to be prepared to begin serving any sentence announced on June 15. Octomom: Should Her Kids Be Taken Away?

Should Octomom Nadya Suleman have custody of her 14 kids transferred to local officials? She’s clearly in way over her head, and currently under investigation by DCFS over the horrendous living conditions in her La Habra, Calif., residence. This has renewed debate over what is in the children’s best interest. Octomom’s hairstylist, Stephanie, called the cops on her after laying eyes on the squalor – one working toilet, graffiti, malnourished and unclean bodies – first hand. DCFS officials are deciding what to do with the children, though Orange County police said Wednesday that no criminal investigation against Nadya is pending. Cops who conducted preliminary interviews at the home said “no crimes were noticed,” but that doesn’t mean she can’t – and shouldn’t – give up her brood. Sad as it is, if kids are defecating outside, sleeping on floors and getting locked in rooms while Nadya Suleman does chores, would they be better off elsewhere? No one wants a family to be broken up, but she’s not doing those kids – or taxpayers – any favors right now. Tell us: Should Octomom’s kids be taken away?

Mila Kunis Labels Ashton Kutcher Dating Rumor "Absurd"

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis spent all of last weekend together on a getaway. An insider says the actor has always thought of his former That 70s Show co-star s a “goddess.” They are both EXTREMELY good looking. But Kunis and Kutcher as a couple?!? Please, the actress says. Kunis responded to the rumors that she’s dating Kutcher by telling Extra , during a stop in Las Vegas yesterday for CineCon to promote her role in the upcoming Oz: Great and Powerful , that the possibility is “absurd.” Yes, the two have been hanging out – but Mila has a simple explanation for the time they spend together: “A friend is a friend,” she told the entertainment news show. Still, a different source says otherwise. “They’re both single, having fun,” a mole tells People . “There’s nothing serious going on – just friends having fun.” Translation: uglies are being bumped. Darn you, Ashton. But at least we can stare at these Mila Kunis photos for awhile. [Photo: WENN.com]
