According to The Daily Mail , Megan Rixson booked an appointment to have individual false lashes applied at a salon. During the treatment her eyes started “burning”and were streaming with tears but staff insisted it was a “normal” to have this type of reaction. She eventually lost her sight for more than 2 hours after leaving the salon. She went back to get answers and then discovered that the salon had made a mistake. Girls be very very careful where you get your eyelashes done!!I got my individuals done today somewhere new and it turns out they used nail glue on my lashes. I genuinely lost my sight for 2 hours. Thankfully the swelling has gone down, but there still very sore. Rixson said her eyes are ‘recovering well’ but remain ‘sensitive’ and ‘sore’.
Law enforcement have identified the man accused of killing 11 people on Saturday morning’s shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Authorities say the 46-year-old man is named Robert Bowers. According to USA Today , police told them that that before the shooting, Bowers, who’s from Pittsburg, made anti-Semitic comments. “All Jews must die!” he allegedly said. According to WAVE News , a lawyer for Gregory Bush , a public defender, asked for a bond reduction, but the judge denied that request, ruling Bush a danger to the community. “I believe you to be a danger,” the judge stressed. “You are to possess no firearms, to have no contact with any of the alleged victims’ families, and (have) no contact with the place of violation including any Kroger.” Bush, 51, was charged with two counts of murder and 10 counts of wanton endangerment for the shooting that took place on Wednesday around 3:30pm, killing Maurice Stallard, 69, and Vickie Lee Jones, 67, both from Louisville. Stallard was the father of the city’s Chief Equity Officer, Kellie Watson. Apparently, he was there shopping with his 12-year-old grandson for art supplies. The Kroger Co. issued a statement saying that company officials were “shocked and saddened by the shooting.” “Thanks to the quick response of the local police department, the suspect was apprehended and our store is secure.” Authorities have yet to confirm a motive behind Bush’s alleged crimes, but WDRB.com News reported that he has a history of making racist comments in the past, domestic violence and mental illness. Older court documents claim that Bush called his ex-wife a “n***er b*tch” and was charged with domestic abuse. In a past Facebook post, Bush also wrote “[I’ve] worked most of my life and battled mental illness throughout my life. My paranoid-schizophrenia finally stopped me from working and not am on mental disability. I’m lucky I made it this far with all the trouble I’ve caused myself when I get off my medicine.” It’s unknown if Bush was off his medication during the time of the shooting. But what we do know is that a witness to the shooting claims that after taking out his gun to protect himself, Bush allegedly told him, “Don’t shoot me. I won’t shoot you. Source: Douglas Sacha / Getty Two people are dead and a suspect is in custody after a gunman opened fired at a Kentucky Kroger supermarket in a town just outside of the city of Louisville. The son of the bystander said his father, who was armed, confronted the gunman who reportedly said “whites don’t kill whites” to the man before he was later apprehended. The Courier-Journal reports : Eric Deacon was paying for his groceries Wednesday afternoon at Kroger just off Hurstbourne Parkway when he heard “a loud bang.” It sounded like a wood pallet slamming to the floor. That’s when he saw a man in a neon sweatshirt racing past him, firing a gun back toward another man who was chasing him. Deacon hit the ground, and soon the men were shooting back and forth at each other in the parking lot. “About that time, a lady came around the corner and got hit,” said Deacon, an EMT who shielded himself from gunfire in the front of the store behind a wall as he spoke to 911. After police arrived, Deacon went over to administer CPR to the woman. “When I looked at her, she was gone,” he said. “There was nothing I could do.” The violence that unfolded on Wednesday at a Kroger grocery store in a busy Jeffersontown shopping center left two people dead, a suspect in custody and police searching for a motive. In an interview with local outlet Wave3 , Steve Zinninger said that his father confronted the gunman by drawing his own weapon. Zinninger said that the man told his father, “don’t shoot me and I won’t shoot you. P olitical enemies of Minnesota’s Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison are using every trick to turn what should have been a relatively easy campaign for state attorney general into a nightmare. SEE ALSO: Domestic Abuse Allegation Won’t Go Away As Keith Ellison’s Campaign Heads To Finish Line A court unsealed the congressman’s divorce records on Wednesday under a petition to make them public, MPR News reported. The petitioners wanted to see if there was documentation that Ellison physically abused his ex-wife, in the hope of substantiating the recent domestic abuse allegations by his ex-girlfriend. Karen Monahan , the congressman’s ex-girlfriend, made the claims in August — just days before Minnesota’s primary election. Ellison immediately denied the charge. Monahan claimed to have video evidence that shows Ellison attacking her, but she has declined to release any footage, raising serious doubts about its existence. Conservative news site Alpha News was one of the petitioners that spearheaded the effort to unseal the divorce records. However, there was no evidence in the documents that Ellison was abusive toward his ex-wife, Kim Ellison . Surprisingly, the congressman described instances of Kim Ellison physically abusing him. “I understand perhaps better than most that as a public official, my personal life falls under higher scrutiny than others. But to pry into the details of a sealed divorce file that the Court previously ordered closed, on the eve of an election, is shameful and outrageous,” Ellison said, calling Alpha News “a far-right propaganda outlet with a history of racism and religious bigotry.” The records involve Ellison's 2012 divorce from ex-wife Kim Ellison. They lack any allegation that the Democratic AG candidate was abusive toward his then-wife. But in one filing, Rep. I t started out as just another viral video: A white woman named Alison Ettel saw Jordan Rodgers, an African-American girl, selling water near AT&T Park in San Francisco. Rodgers was trying to earn money for a trip to Disneyland. Ettel was caught on camera calling 911 and the video was soon spread across social media. A meme was born . Alison Ettel, CEO of weed dispensary Treatwell Tinctures, calls the police on an 8-year-old girl for selling water. She profits from a drug that put so many people of color behind bars, yet still tries to harm a little black girl. For water. #PermitPatty pic.twitter.com/WJRzfJglhh — Eugene Gu, MD (@eugenegu) June 24, 2018 A few weeks later an Oakland woman called the police on a group of Black people having a cookout. Again, her face was plastered on every social media outlet, photoshopped in different scenarios and even parodied on SNL. She was given the moniker of BBQ Becky . At first, the seemingly weekly moments and memes doubled as mindless comedy combined with ways to shame the white women for their racism. But it’s time to stop it. Because, in the end, these nicknames and memes are only shielding white women from real consequences they should get for putting Black lives in danger. READ MORE: Cornerstone Caroline Investigated For Falsely Accusing Black Child Black people comprise roughly 13 percent of the United States population but make up more than 23 percent of people killed by police. Black men and women have 6.6 to 1 odds of being killed by police while unarmed. Police are more likely to use excessive force on Black people. And so on. So it’s clear that calling the police on a Black person is effectively putting that Black person’s life in danger. Everyone knows this, including the white people who erroneously call police on Black folks. White people who call the police on Black folks don’t just want us removed from their sidewalks or their parks or their cookouts or their neighborhoods. They want us dead. And they know that calling the police on us is going to heighten their chances of those dreams coming to fruition. Take, for instance, the story of Jeremiah Harvey. He was in a New York corner store when his backpack brushed up against a white woman named Teresa Klein. She called the police claiming that the boy groped her. She’s been given the nickname “ Cornerstore Caroline .” How adorable. The problem here is that Harvey calling the police for believing a boy groped her recalls the infamous case of Emmett Till , a boy accused of whistling at a white woman, Carolyn Bryant Donham . She alerted a mob of white men — not that far off from a modern-day police force, depending on whom you ask — who went on to lynch Till. Klein was engaging in a tried and true American tradition of using stereotypes of over-sexualized Black men to aid in the deaths of said Black men. This isn’t an act that should just garner alliterative nicknames and social media memes because that’s letting these perpetrators off the hook. Here’s a question? Without scrolling up, do you even remember Permit Patty’s real name? What about Cornerstone Caroline? Barbecue Becky? Giving them nicknames is providing aliases that cover the names of real women with real racist motivations to commit real harm to real Black people. America has functioned under the premise that white women are innately innocent and harmless in the history of anti-Black violence despite overwhelming historical and present-day evidence to the contrary. Guarding women with nicknames and comedy will surely embarrass them in the short-term, and, in the case of Ettel, she stepped down from her post as a CEO. But do you think she has gone un-hired since? What true recourse has she seen? What true contrition has she been forced to show? If there aren’t going to be laws that penalize these people for their calls — something I’m skeptical of, as such a law would be asking police to side with an innocent Black person over a white person, which doesn’t usually garner great outcomes for us — then we have to find ways to hold these white people accountable. So, yes, say their real names as often as possible. Make the world know that anyone who hires them or does business with them is choosing to engage with someone with a clear disregard for Black lives. Whatever you do, leave the cute nicknames for situations that are actually funny, because there’s never any comedy involved when Black boys and girls get police called on them. Just last month, Kim Zolciak was accused of photoshopping the butt of her 4-year-old daughter. Yikes . Now, after new photos have surfaced that appear to show her kids before and after being digitally altered, Kim is blasting the accusations. Kim calls the accusation “sick,” but even some of her own fans are convinced that she’s doing it. An Instagram accounts called @wigzncigs is dedicated to exposing Kim Zolciak as an alleged fraud. And they may have hit the jackpot. They shared what they say are before and after photos of two of Kim Zolciak’s very young children, Kaia and Kane. Though the differences are almost imperceptible, it does appear that the photos were modified. If you can’t see the changes to both Kaia and Kane with the side-by-side images, perhaps seeing the contrast like this will help: “Check out the before & after,” the non-fan page writes. “Kaia’s waist was taken in and her legs were made thinner,” the caption reads. “Kane’s ear was also made smaller.” It certainly appears that way. But Kim, who has been accused of doctoring photos of her children in the past, took to social media to express her outrage — and a firm denial. “People are f–kin SICK!!” Kim exclaims. She demands in her tweet: “Get the f–k out here!!” “No post was taken down,” she asserts about the “before” photos. “And,” Kim continues. “No photo has been nor will ever be edited of my children!” As for the accusations, Kim writes: “I will no longer stand for this bulls–t!” This is not Kim’s first time being accused of this. This Halloween photo of Kaia and Kane brought on accusations that she had digitally manipulated the curve of her daughter’s butt. Kaia Biermann, for the record, is four years old. The idea of a mother being so obsessed with appearances that she tries to make her extremely young children look more “perfect” is stomach-turning. Is this really what’s happening? Even some of Kim Zolciak’s own alleged fans seem to think so. “I’d love to believe you,” tweeted one person. “But I’ve seen a video of your IG pic/story, and it’s CLEARLY photoshopped-there are before and after shots. Sad, really.” Others were less gentle, tweeting: “The photo was 100% photoshopped lol.” Kim had defenders who sided with her, but her critics encouraged them to look at what they say is evidence of digital manipulation. “Obviously you people haven’t seen the before and after,” a tweeter wrote to Kim’s defenders. “You can preach happiness and acceptance and joy…but damn girl, actions speak louder than words!” Other fans spoke openly of their hope that her husband, Kroy, will step in and stop her from tweaking any more photos. As we mentioned, @wigzncigs is serious about taking down Kim Zolciak. Their Instagram bio reads: “Exposing Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her family for the liars & frauds they are! Ask, Believe, Deceive.” The bio also links to, of all things, a change.org petition. The petition aims to implore Andy Cohen to cancel Don’t Be Tardy , on the grounds that they don’t like Kim Zolciak and think she’s fake. Our first thought was that someone has way too much time on their hands. Our second thought was to half-jokingly wonder if NeNe Leakes is somehow behind this. (She’s not, but it would be so funny if she were using her massive paycheck to bankroll people to roast Kim) But on a more serious note, if this “evidence” is somehow being faked or simply a misunderstanding, we hope that Kim can clear it up. If you’ve been watching Jersey Shore Family Vacation , you’re probably well aware that the relationship between Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley is far from healthy. Ron is prone to fits of anger (or “ron-pages,” if you prefer), but for the most part, fans have piled the bulk of the blame on Jen — and for good reason. After all, this is the woman who dragged Ron in her car during an argument, leaving him badly injured. The cause of the altercation was Jen’s previous batsh-t behavior, which includes disappearing with their daughter and sending Ron on a mad search across Las Vegas, like he was stuck in some completely non-funny version of The Hangover . Needless to say, Jen and Ron have a lot of problems. In fact, it sounds as though there are only two paths forward for little Ariana’s parents at this point: They can either break up or begin therapy and commit themselves to the hard work of tearing their relationship down to its foundations and beginning anew. Of course, Jen doesn’t see it that way. She thinks the solution to her many romantic problems is easy and obvious: According to Jen, it’s all Ron’s fault, and he can fix everything by simply quitting Jersey Shore . Cutting off one’s sole source of income shortly after welcoming a child may sound foolish, but Jen explained the brilliance behind her plan while she was bored on a recent flight and decided to host an Instagram AMA: “So bored! Another 2 hours left!! Entertain me! Ask away, be nice,” Jen wrote. Fans were quick to oblige, and while most of the questions were along the lines of “WTF is your deal?” some offered more nuanced inquiries: “I know you won’t answer this but how do you like being on Jersey Shore,” one fan asked. “Honestly the show has been the route [sic] to all our problems,” Jen answered. “Would you want Ron to quit JS to make ur relationship better and peaceful?” another asked. “DUH,” Jen replied, in not-at-all-obnoxious fashion.
