Last week, a feud seemed to erupt out of nowhere when Sharon Osbourne called Kim Kardashian a “ho” for reasons that still aren’t entirely clear. The remark was made in an interview with The Telegraph in response to a question about whether Kim is right to consider herself a feminist . “Kim says she’s doing everything in the name of feminism, but that’s not feminism!” Osbourne told the outlet. “Those girls live off their bodies, half of L.A. has been through them and everything they do from the sex tape to the plastic see-through dresses and the gym wear is about sex, not female progress.” Osbourne continued: “God bless them. If Kim wants to show off her body, fine. But that’s not feminism, that’s being a ho. And there’s nothing wrong with being a ho, but always remember what you are.” Osbourne’s comments are so loaded with irony that we’d tip our hat if she were making herself look dumb on purpose, but we’re pretty sure that’s not the case. The idea of a feminist gatekeeper who gets to decide which women are worthy of the title seems rather … anti-feminist. But Kim didn’t even bother to point that out when she clapped back at Sharon. Instead, Ms. Kardashian-West merely pointed out that she never claimed she posts nude photos in the name of feminism: “I think she said I said a quote about, ‘I post nude photos in the name of feminism.’ Never said that. So I think when people misquote you and then comment, it just sounds ridiculous,” Kim said last week. “I post nude photos because I like how I look and I feel proud when I’ve lost all this baby weight and I post it because I feel like posting it and I feel powerful.” No one – including Kim Kardashian – is claiming that Kim Kardashian nudes are the 21st Century’s answer to The Feminine Mystique . Basically, Osbourne built up a curvaceous straw man, gleefully tore it down, and rightfully got called out. Naturally, she went into damage control mode and began frantically backpedaling during Monday’s episode of her The View knockoff, The Talk : “It’s so ridiculous how these things happen,” Sharon said. “I was doing this interview, and (the reporter) said to me ‘have you heard that Kim Kardashian has come out as a feminist’ … and of course I commented.” Osbourne continued: “She asked my opinion and I gave it. It wasn’t rude, it wasn’t … whatever (Kim) does, it’s showing her body. Which shows that she’s a strong grounded woman and she’s not ashamed of her body, she wants to show it, which is her business … people have been doing that since day one … it doesn’t make you a feminist.” We’re not sure we’re following Sharon’s argument here. It’s something along the lines of: “Someone told me Kim Kardashian said something she never said, so I responded by calling her a ho. What’s the big deal?” We can understand how Sharon would be so naive as to go on a misogynistic rant in response to unverified information. It’s not like the woman’s been famous for decades and wound up involved her own share of messy tabloid dramas . In fact, Kaitlyn says that there was one thing in particular that she’d never planned on — and that was keeping Nick Viall around as long as she did. There have been no shortage of breakups of Bachelor couples. In many cases, people have found that the person they got to know on reality television isn’t the same when the cameras aren’t rolling. In others, the fact that the cameras were rolling at that they were all on a timetable doesn’t give them time for honest communication before they get engaged. And their celebrity status afterwards makes it hard for their relationship to continue even after the season airs. And, obviously, some couples just drift apart. You can look at the breakup of Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins , whose relationship was strangled by a lack of honest communication thanks to the relentless presence of cameras in their lives. (Ben was on Kaitlyn’s season — that will come up in a moment) Then you have breakups like the one between Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton, that involved Josh calling the police . Their split seemed like it would have happened even if they’d just met over Tinder or whatever. But, despite all of the things that can and so often do go wrong in relationships, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are still together. Not married, but they’re together. So what, in Kaitlyn’s view, went wrong with her season? On her own podcast, titled Off The Vine , Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed that she never intended for Nick Viall to make it to the final two. For some time, Kaitlyn knew that she wanted to be with Shawn Booth. (Clearly, he was the right choice, as they’re still happily together) She had also decided that Ben Higgins would be the last man she sent home. As you remember, Ben came in third, not second, and it was Nick Viall who was Kaitlyn Bristowe’s final breakup. Nick Viall ended up going on and getting engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi (though they of course have broken up). Kaitlyn doesn’t say why things ended up the way that they did, but it’s interesting that her own decisions didn’t quite match up with her own plans. Kaitlyn may have gotten her happy ending, but that doesn’t mean that she’s turned her back on the Bachelor Nation. Recently, when it was finally revealed that Rachel Lindsay had made the controversial choice of settling with Bryan Abasolo, Kaitlyn posted this message to Instagram. “Attention Rachel and [Bryan Abasolo]. Today will be one of the best days of your life. When you can finally be out in the real world hand in hand.” She actually referred to Bryan as “Jerome,” which had been Rachel’s code word for her unnamed fiance. We suspect that Kaitlyn wrote this out in advance. Or maybe she just didn’t want to spoil things for those who hadn’t seen it yet. “I honestly don’t think you need advice because you seem to be on cloud 9 and you’re smart af, but here’s mine for what it’s worth.” Awwww, that is so cute. “Do not listen to outside voices. People will try and bring you down, I’m not sure why…But they do.” We, at least, don’t want to bring down Rachel Lindsay. We don’t understand her choice, but we want her to be happy. “As long as you surround yourselves with people who love you, and remind each other that they come first, you will be ok. Back in July of 2015, Reggie Bush and Lilit Avagyan welcomed their second child , a son named Uriah. In May of 2013, their daughter Brisels was born. Though Reggie Bush’s personal scandal has almost certainly impacted his life and marriage, Lilit has now given birth to their third child. And they’ve given this baby a very unique sounding name. Reggie Bush is an accomplished football player. I may not know much about sportsball, but even I know that it’s a big deal when I hear that someone won a Heisman trophy. (That’s because I watched American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson , but still) Just last year, a Miami waitress claimed that Reggie Bush had impregnated her while cheating on his wife. Eventually, Reggie reportedly reached a settlement with the waitress — which is why we don’t know more about that situation. It was claimed that Reggie’s first response upon hearing that his mistress was pregnant was to offer the woman a million dollars to get an abortion and leave him alone (and basically disappear). Apparently this wasn’t some one-night stand, but the result of an alleged two year affair. The waitress got a lawyer. There’s no telling how good a settlement she received, but Reggie Bush’s net worth is estimated to be at least $14 million. Clearly, however, Reggie Bush and and Lilit Avagyan were able to move past that whole ugly business and leave it behind them. (There’s a difference between one affair and having a string of affairs, and sometimes even serial cheaters get forgiven — just look at Sharon an Ozzy Osbourne after the rock star cheated with at least six different mistresses) We say “clearly,” because it’s nearly a year later and Lilit has given birth to the couple’s third child! E! is reporting that Reggie Bush and Lilit Avagyan have welcomed a baby boy into the world. That boy’s name is reportedly Agyemang Bush. It’s no surprise that they chose an “unusual” name for their child. When your daughter is named Brisel and your oldest son is named Uriah, you wouldn’t be doing any favors to your kids if you name your next kid “Brian” or whatever. The reason that we put the word unusual in quotation marks is because it looks like the name “Agyemang” and the very similar “Agyeman” aren’t uncommon at all in Ghana. In many cases, people who are taken aback by names that they refer to as “strange” or “ethnic” would do better to look up a name’s origins. Sometimes, what we perceive as a “weird name” is actually just a name that isn’t eurocentric. Sure, there are a lot of celebrities (and non-celebrities) who want to give their children unique-sounding names. But there are also a lot of people who, with very good reason, want to reclaim heritage that they feel was stolen from them and their communities. Something as simple as a name can be very empowering. And, when we’re talking about the children of celebrities, there’s usually less concern about not getting callbacks on job applications. Back in July of 2015, Reggie Bush and Lilit Avagyan welcomed their second child , a son named Uriah. In May of 2013, their daughter Brisels was born. Though Reggie Bush’s personal scandal has almost certainly impacted his life and marriage, Lilit has now given birth to their third child. And they’ve given this baby a very unique sounding name. Reggie Bush is an accomplished football player. I may not know much about sportsball, but even I know that it’s a big deal when I hear that someone won a Heisman trophy. (That’s because I watched American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson , but still) Just last year, a Miami waitress claimed that Reggie Bush had impregnated her while cheating on his wife. Eventually, Reggie reportedly reached a settlement with the waitress — which is why we don’t know more about that situation. It was claimed that Reggie’s first response upon hearing that his mistress was pregnant was to offer the woman a million dollars to get an abortion and leave him alone (and basically disappear). Apparently this wasn’t some one-night stand, but the result of an alleged two year affair. The waitress got a lawyer. There’s no telling how good a settlement she received, but Reggie Bush’s net worth is estimated to be at least $14 million. Clearly, however, Reggie Bush and and Lilit Avagyan were able to move past that whole ugly business and leave it behind them. (There’s a difference between one affair and having a string of affairs, and sometimes even serial cheaters get forgiven — just look at Sharon an Ozzy Osbourne after the rock star cheated with at least six different mistresses) We say “clearly,” because it’s nearly a year later and Lilit has given birth to the couple’s third child! E! is reporting that Reggie Bush and Lilit Avagyan have welcomed a baby boy into the world. That boy’s name is reportedly Agyemang Bush. It’s no surprise that they chose an “unusual” name for their child. When your daughter is named Brisel and your oldest son is named Uriah, you wouldn’t be doing any favors to your kids if you name your next kid “Brian” or whatever. The reason that we put the word unusual in quotation marks is because it looks like the name “Agyemang” and the very similar “Agyeman” aren’t uncommon at all in Ghana. In many cases, people who are taken aback by names that they refer to as “strange” or “ethnic” would do better to look up a name’s origins. Sometimes, what we perceive as a “weird name” is actually just a name that isn’t eurocentric. Sure, there are a lot of celebrities (and non-celebrities) who want to give their children unique-sounding names. But there are also a lot of people who, with very good reason, want to reclaim heritage that they feel was stolen from them and their communities. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sure know how to pick ’em — surrogates that is — because the woman they found to carry their third child sounds like the perfect choice. Sources familiar with the pregnancy tell us … the couple’s surrogate is an African-American in her 20s — same with her husband. We’re told she and her hubby have been married for 5 years, and their marriage is solid. She’s also had experience in the labor department. She’s the mother of 2 small boys, so she knows the drill. The surrogate’s a college grad, so maybe the kid will pick some of that up through osmosis. She’s also in great physical shape, which helps with a smooth pregnancy. A woman pulled a Roscoe out on another woman at Walmart over someone taking the last notebook for the new year at school. The woman who pulled the gun is licensed to carry and it’s obvious she’s not afraid to pull it, right? Anyways, since she is white…nobody was jailed.
