The Bachelor Season 23: When Does It Premiere?

As has been explained and detailed many times over the past few months, Colton Underwood has never been inside a woman. But ABC has now announced the date on which he’ll premiere inside The Bachelor Mansion as the lead star in this ever-popular franchise. The network just confirmed that Season 23 of The Bachelor will kick off on January 7, 2019. The former football player first competed for Becca Kufrin’s heart on Season 14 of The Bachelorette this year — and he later shattered Tia Booth’s heart on Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise. Underwood has been making his reality show rounds, but, as he’s mentioned on multiple occasions, he’s never gone all around the bases with a woman. We don’t mean to keep hammering this point home, but you better believe ABC will continue to promote Underwood as a virgin all throughout his upcoming season. “I’m very excited,” Underwood said on Good Morning America two months ago, adding: “Third time’s a charm.’ That’s what they say, right? That’s what I’m hoping for.” Colton also seems aware that his selection as the Bachelor wasn’t met with universal praise. Some critics out there think he’s too boring; too vanilla; not horny or lewd enough to be entertaining. He’s aware of what these folks have been saying and he’s trying to stay above it all. “People hate what they don’t understand & try to destroy it,” Underwood Tweeted in early September , adding: “Only try to keep yourself clear and don’t allow that destructive force to spoil something that to you is so simple, natural & beautiful.” You can’t deny that he seems like an incredibly nice guy, but that almost seems to be the problem Bachelor fans have with him. Underwood actually met three of the women competing for his affection when he taped an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show this fall. He told the comedian at the time that he’s looking for someone who is a “good person” and “could be a good mother” one day. Hear that, potential suitors?!? “I feel like I was born to be a dad,” the 26-year old added. “I’m super excited about this.” As for what else Underwood is hoping to find on the show? Other qualification he has for a future wife? Colton sounds open to almost anything or anyone, but did say the following to Ellen: “I like to be challenged in a relationships. “My motto for this season is to live in the moment. I’m going to be present and just enjoy myself and have fun. The other two shows, I had to deal with some situations. Now I just want to relax and have fun.” The question is: Will he fall in love with one women or two ?  View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 23: Cast Revealed!

#LHHHReunion: Akbar Being Trash, Lyrica’s Drama And K. Michelle’s Destruction Of Roccstar Brought Out ALL The Pettiest Reactions

VH1 The Wildest Reactions To The LHH Reunion The Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood reunion was one of the wildest yet. It was pure chaos from jump. We had Lyrica getting checked and claiming that she needed to chill because she was pregnant. This led to some of the ladies being escorted out. Twitter didn’t seem to think that she needed protection. We had K. Michelle verbally destroying Roccstar like he was nothing. She gave an epic read that will go down as one of her best. We had Akbar continuing hi streak of being trash with him defending his actions. And. So. Much. More. #LHHHReunion #LHHH Brooke is absolutely right, if Ahkbar was really trying to uplift women why would he bring a broken woman into a situation with other women who don't respect her and arent trying to uplift her? Cuz hes manipulative. He just wants a harem. — Blerd & AnimeOtaku (@AnimeOtaku1723) November 13, 2018 Take a look at the wildest reactions to all of the chaos.

New Firm Aims To Increase Representation Of Black Investors

W hen it comes to securing venture capital for business ventures, there isn’t a level playing field for Black entrepreneurs. Racial disparities in the world of VC goes beyond the struggles that business owners of color have when trying to get capital for their startups. Studies show that 81 percent of venture capital firms don’t have any Black investors on their teams, and a new company is looking to change that, Tech Crunch reported. 81% of VC firms don’t have a single black investor — BLCK VC plans on changing that https://t.co/P0OK4GQ4xo by @kateclarktweets pic.twitter.com/qNHAdYabhR — TechCrunch (@TechCrunch) November 8, 2018 The firm BLCK VC was launched as an avenue to increase the number of Black investors, the news outlet writes. The organization is aiming to turn 200 African-American investors to 400 over the next six years. BLCK VC has been primarily focused on areas that include New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles and they hope to expand to other cities. The firm wants to cultivate a safe space for Black investors so that they can come together and develop actionable strategies to diversify the venture capital industry. “We think of ourselves as an organization formed by black VCs for Blacks VCs to increase the representation of black investors,” Sydney Sykes , Co-founder, BLCK VC, told the news outlet. “You can look around and say ‘well, I know five black VCs,’ but you can also say this firm does not have a single black VC, they may not even have a single underrepresented minority … We want to make firms reckon with the fact that there is a racial diversity problem; there is a lack of black VCs and every firm should really care about it.” Her business partner Frederik Groce added that there’s an “incredible need to ensure there are resources in place so people don’t churn out of the community.” Groce and Sykes join other Black entrepreneurs who are creating opportunities in the venture capital world. Entrepreneur Shelly Bell launched Black Girl Ventures to help Black women entrepreneurs gain access to VC funding and to build a network. The Black-owned startup Mayven—a popular hair brand—recently raised $23 million in venture capital funding, Black Enterprise reported. . @MayvennHair , a company that got its start selling quality virgin human hair & extensions trusted & recommended by over 100,000 stylists, just raised $23 million in a Series B funding round. https://t.co/BXLNAcJX8g — Black Enterprise (@blackenterprise) November 7, 2018 Since the company’s inception in 2013, it has experienced exponential growth, the news outlet writes. Essence Ventures, Cross Culture Ventures, Impact America Fund, and 16z were all instrumental in helping them secure the new funds. Diishan Imira , Co-founder & CEO, Mayven says that the money will go towards the creation of a new service for the company which will allow customers to have their hair installed by Mayven-certified hairstylists for free. Mayven is also planning on launching a new wig line next year. “Mayvenn has been well received by the investment community because it’s different,” Imira said in a statement, according to Black Enterprise. “Investors saw that we had traction and an ownable stake of a large, fragmented market that has been highly overlooked with millions of dollars in buying power who wanted a better way to find and purchase hair. Additionally, as founders, we’re not only passionate about our mission, but have very unique and complementary skill sets to go out and solve these problems.” Mayven isn’t the only Black-owned business in the beauty industry that is making waves and securing venture capital. Amanda Johnson and KJ Miller —the two women behind the makeup brand Mented Cosmetics —broke barriers for Black women in the realm of entrepreneurship after becoming the 15th and 16th African-American women in history to garner $1 million in venture capital funding for their startup. Ashley Graham and Paloma Elsesser Big Girl Erotica of the Day

Dykes it down with Paloma Elsesser I wonder is the diabetic fetish will be more popular when the women start having their limbs removed…you know so we really dial into their obesity they feel empowered by. This is gross, unhealthy, irresponsible of brands like plastics in products , to normalize obesity, and end up with an ocean full of plastic killing us all, Only far fatter… I don’t care how she polarizes her nonsense, she’s doing it to get paid, so get paid and be fat but I think gay people should get minimum wage and not be models or spokespeople unless it’s for their sex working. Respect Her Vote: Here’s 10 Reasons Amber Rose Says We Should Be Hitting The Polls

SplashNews.com Amber Rose Embraces Voting As Part Of Her Activism Theme For SlutWalk Amber Rose’s Slutwalk 2018 grabbed headlines as usual this year, but we want to make sure those who follow the model and activist aren’t missing out on the activism theme Amber embraced for this year’s big event, which took place exactly one month before this year’s midterm elections. Rose partnered with Hip Hop Caucus’ non-partisan Respect My Vote! campaign as a spokesperson and to collaborate on a special campaign leading up to Election Day on November 6th, to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to the polls on women’s issues. “We can’t continue to give power to people in office who oppose women having control over our own bodies, and access to health care we need, and protection from sexual harassment at work. By voting we take away their power and we empower people in office who are and will fight for women’s equality. And, that’s our goal with the partnership between SlutWalk and Hip Hop Caucus’ ‘Respect My Vote!’ campaign.” To kick off the partnership, Amber Rose SlutWalk and Respect My Vote! released Amber Rose’s Top 10 Reasons We Should Vote , focused on the ways in which those we elect make critical decisions on policies that can either bring us towards greater equality and opportunity for women, or set us back. “I am committed to ending rape culture and slut shaming and empowering women with the freedom to be who they want to be and achieve what they want to achieve,” Amber Rose said in a press release about the partnership. “We are working to change the culture, but we also have to change our laws to fully protect women from harassment, get justice for violence against women, and ensure equal opportunity for women at work and in school. That is why activism is the theme of SlutWalk this year. We are going to exercise our activism by voting. I am excited to partner with Hip Hop Caucus on the ‘Respect My Vote!’ campaign. We are going from the poles to the polls!” The 10 reasons are what Rose along with SlutWalk and Hip Hop Caucus voters are calling on candidates and elected officials to fight for on behalf of women: #1 Rape and Violence Against Women #2 Reproductive Health #3 Equal Pay #4 Mass Incarceration #5 LGBTQ Equality #6 Paid Family Leave #7 Sexual Harassment #8 Immigration #9 Environmental Justice & Health #10 Student Loans and Education. All great reasons right?! Amber’s Respect My Vote page also allowed visitors to register to vote and pledge to vote. When people take the pledge to vote, they receive text and email updates from Rose and Respect My Vote! that inspire people to vote, and that also provide information on polling locations, what to bring to the polls, and how to protect your vote. Respect My Vote! also released an Amber Rose special edition Respect My Vote! shirt for Slut-Walk on Oct. 6. The shirt represents the essence of the power of women at the polls.
