Enjoy the stuttering, overly intellectualized musings of Owen Wilson, Kenneth Branagh, John Cusack, Will Ferrell and others as they all pretend… Broadcasting platform : Vimeo Source : A.V. Weekend Receipts: Super 8, Super Debut

Surprise! (?) After all that speculation and hand-wringing over Super 8 ‘s prospects, the underexposed tribute to summer glories past emerged as something of a summer glory itself. Meanwhile the cluster of blockbuster veterans around it held on in the top five, and at least one wipeout was had by a young lady named Judy Moody. Your Weekend Receipts are here.

Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen dating

Linked since the fall, Michael Sheen, 42, and Rachel McAdams, 32, hit the red carpet arm in arm in Cannes last week to promote the Woody Allen film. “I don#39;t think it was planned one way or the other,” McAdams said Tuesday of their going public with the romance. Mildred Baena and Arnold Schwarzenegger split

When Mildred Baena did file for divorce from Rogelio de Jesus Baena in 2008 in Los Angeles, she did not list him as the baby#39;s father. “There are no minor children,” the papers say. This contradicts a birth certificate, obtained by us, which identifies Rogelio as the father. Arnold Schwarzenegger#39;s household worker Mildred Patricia Baena separated from her husband just days after giving birth to a child who multiple reports say was Schwarzenegger#39;s baby, according to court documents.

Ellen Page, Jesse Eisenberg Confirmed for Woody Allen’s Untitled Rome Film

Looks like Woody Allen is taking advice from our very own Louis Virtel, who just last week suggested the prolific director cast Ellen Page in one of his next projects. Page will join Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, and Penelope Cruz in Allen’s untitled Rome-set film , to begin production this summer. The film will be Allen’s 42nd feature film. Will Page play a Mariel Hemingway-type, as Louis suggests, with Eisenberg as Allen’s neurotic onscreen stand-in? Cast your own speculations below.[ Variety ]

Proposed Titles for 15 European City-Set Films Still on Woody Allen’s Bucket List

Earlier today, Penelope Cruz confirmed that she will star in Woody Allen’s next film, an untitled project that is set to shoot in Rome. This means, of course, that the prolific writer/director is making good on his promise to wind his way around Europe — both because it is cheaper than working in the U.S. and because he can declare his love to different international cities onscreen . Regardless of the reason, Movieline is excited for Allen to explore the rest of the continent and with the help of resident European City Expert Louis Virtel , have come up with 15 prospective titles for Allen to work with.

In Honor of the Potential Robocop Statue: 9 Movie-Related Statues That Already Exist

Despite objections from Mayor Dave Bing, it looks like artists in Detroit have raised enough money to build the Robocop statue that the city so desperately needs. While Detroit will likely be the first city with an half-robot policeman enshrined for future generations, it isn’t the first city to put up a film-inspired statue for all of the public to see. And a Robocop statue may not even be the most ridiculous film tribute ever built. For my money, Scotland will actually hold this honor for years to come.
