On Tuesday, in response to Robin Williams’ suicide , Limbaugh focused on the actor’s political affiliation and seemed to imply that Williams killed himself largely because he was a Democrat. “What is the left’s worldview in general?” the radio host asked. “If you had to attach not a philosophy but an attitude to a leftist worldview, it’s one of pessimism and darkness, sadness. “They’re never happy, are they? They’re always angry about something. Originally posted by right wing website Human Events, the superimposed images of Jacqueline Kennedy and Michelle Obama are meant to serve as a dig at our current First Lady. While the makers of the meme obviously have no problem with the idea of offending modern Democrats, the photo has mainly come under attack mainly for apolitical reasons, as social media users on both sides of the aisle are decrying it as an abhorrent piece of racist propaganda. First lady historian Katherine Jellison sees the image as having far more to do with American attitudes toward race than with any sort of political divide: “Ideas about African-American women being more assertive, speaking louder, all of those stereotypes are coming into play here.” Sadly, many of the thousands of comments the original post has received reflect a bias against the First Lady that has nothing to do with politics. Jellison adds that anyone who takes the juxtaposed photos as a sign that Kennedy was a classier woman than Obama simply doesn’t understand the dramatic fashion in which media coverage has changed in the 50 years since JFK’s presidency. “The kind of image control that the Kennedy family was able to exercise just isn’t possible anymore,” Jellison says. If you’re already wondering how you’ll get your sexy vampire fix after True Blood’s final season comes to a close this summer, worry not: Sookie Stackhouse and company may be Broadway-bound. True Blood creator Alan Ball is reportedly working with HBO and composer Nathan Barr to produce a musical version of the beloved HBO series. Of course, in order to really stay true to the spirit of Bon Temps, the show would have to be a strictly 18-and-older affair. “This was something that I pitched to Alan Ball and HBO,” said Barr at a recent season seven premiere party. “I think we’re really trying to return to the roots of the show.” In other words, don’t expect all of your favorite vamps, werewolves, and telepathic fairies to appear on stage, as the musical will focus mainly on the beginning stages of Sookie’s story. Still, it’s exciting news for diehard True Blood fans…or just folks who want to see naked people on stage, but can’t bring themselves to go to a strip club. No word on whether any of the series’ cast members will make the transition to Broadway, but at least one star seems to be interested: Stephen Moyer performed with Carrie Underwood in NBC’s The Sound of Music and says he helped Barr prepare sample musical numbers to present to HBO. O.J. Simpson’s longtime associate and former manager Norman Pardo says the disgraced NFL star got a raw deal, particularly involving If I Did It . He spoke out again Tuesday, on the 20th anniversary of Simpson’s infamous arrest for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Pardo claims O.J. didn’t write the controversial book If I Did It , the 2006 tome which explores how Simpson would’ve hypothetically probably killed people . If he did it, that is. If. Personally, we feel that this alternate title and cover (above right) would have been more appropriate under the circumstances, but alas, we digress. According to Pardo, Simpson agreed to claim authorship of If I Did It after being promised a $600,000 payout by NewsCorp and its subsidiary ReganBooks. “I remember when that book was coming out. O.J. called me. He said, ‘Here’s the deal,’ because it was in the news that he was going to do an interview.” “I said, ‘O.J., don’t do it, it’s stupid.’ He said, ‘Hey, they offered me $600,000 not to dispute that I [wrote] the book.’ He said, ‘That’s cash.'” “I said, ‘They’re going to think you wrote it.’ He said, ‘So?'” “‘Everybody thinks I’m a murderer anyway,'” the Juice reportedly told Pardo then. “‘They’re not going to change their mind just because of a book.'” Amid public outcry, the project was yanked, and in 2007, the family of Ron Goldman acquired its rights to satisfy the 1997 wrongful death suit against O.J. According to a new In Touch Weekly report, Justin Bieber has impregnated two women since 2010. The tabloid bases this serious accusation on the words of an anonymous source, who claims Bieber and his entourage “rushed to cover up the pregnancies” as soon as word started to leak out. “He just expects his team to handle it,” the insider says of Justin allegedly slipping a swimmer past a goalie and then just going about his business. In late 2011, a 20-year old named Mariah Yeater claimed Bieber knocked her up when the two had sex backstage at a concert in Los Angeles. She sued him for paternity, but later withdrew the legal documents. In 2013, meanwhile, an unnamed woman came out and said she slept with Bieber in Miami in 2010 and gave birth to his child nine months later. The latest In Touch article does not cite either of these instances, but does claim Justin’s team “dealt with” supposed pregnancies. The tabloid writes that the women who say Bieber has knocked them up are investigated and – if their assertions have merit – are “taken care of financially” without ever coming into contact with Justin again. It’s worth mentioning that In Touch also reported a couple months ago that Selena Gomez suffered a miscarriage of Bieber’s baby and that the artist wanted her to have an abortion before this tragedy took place.
