Lamar Odom Explodes at Paparazzi, Tosses Equipment into the Street

Might those Jennifer Richardson rumors finally be getting to Lamar Odom? The typically unassuming reality star went off on two members of the paparazzi yesterday, smashing one of their cars and tossing camera equipment into the street – and most of the incident was captured on camera. Check out footage of the Odom tirade at TMZ. It’s unclear what started the incident ( Khloe Kardashian claims the photographer snuck into the couple’s private property), but Odom clearly goes into a reporter’s car and deposits his belongings in front of a few parked cars. From there, he uses a metal bar of some kind to damage a paparazzo’s vehicle… and then picks up the tossed equipment and places it in his own car. Hilariously, the video ends with Odom calmly posing with a fan for a cell phone photo. Khloe, however, was far less calm in her reaction to the incident on Twitter. “F**k the papz!!!!!” she wrote. “You f**king losers!!!!! But shout out to my hubby for posing with the fans! I love my Lam! “This becomes stalking at some point!!!!! Its wild!!!! #F**kThePaps.”

Rihanna Named Most Influential Celebrity on the Web

Not surprisingly, Rihanna has topped the list of the Top 50 Most Influential Celebrities on the Web, a study put together by Zimbio determined. In order to be considered, a celebs has to be active on both Twitter and Facebook, be primarily famous in the U.S., and have an individual account. In other words, no bands, and no brands. Given Rihanna’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram presence, it’s no surprise that she edged Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears for the crown. Google+ and YouTube accounts, as well as scores on Klout, were also used to determine which famous figures have the most dominant digital footprints. The always interactive Rihanna and Justin Bieber top the list overall, but Zimbio has also broken down the stats with the infographic shown above. Britney is most likely to follow you back on Twitter, while Miley is the most active at Tweeting each day. And Twerking , but that wasn’t a part of the formula. Lady Gaga leads in YouTube videos, Kim Kardashian in money earned per Tweet (stunner), and President Obama in most likely to follow a porn company . Just kidding. But he totally did that at least once.

Hollie McNish Defends Breastfeeding in Public With Viral Video, Poem

Hollie McNish, a British poet and mother, has taken the breastfeeding world by storm with her scathing defense of breastfeeding in public. A video of McNish reading her spoken-word poem, “Embarrassed” has gone viral, just as National Breastfeeding Week closes in the U.K. and Alicia Silverstone launches a vegan-friendly milk-sharing bank. Hollie McNish Defends Breastfeeding in Public McNish wrote the poem over the course of six months as she nursed her daughter in public restrooms after being told she should just stay at home the first time she tried to breastfeed in public. Now, three years later, she has released her battle cry on the world for the first time in hopes of helping other moms in the same position feel unashamed of breastfeeding their babies. The poet is clear that she’s not against formula feeding and hates the rift between moms who breastfeed and moms who formula feed. She just believes that it’s time to support moms going through what she experienced, especially when it seems like it’s okay for women to show skin at any time other than when they’re feeding a baby. She closes her poem with the following lines: “in this country of billboards covered in tits I think we should try to get used to this.” So, what do you think, THGers? Is it time to get used to this? Or should moms just stay home if their baby needs to eat?   Of course! It’s totally natural! And besides, baby’s gotta eat! No way! That’s gross. She can do that somewhere else. View Poll »

The Bachelorette Recap: And Then There Were Five

Only five bachelors remain for Desiree Hartsock . On tonight’s episode of  The Bachelorette she’ll travel with them to Madeira where Brooks Forester  will make a shocking revelation. Feelings are forming, y’all. If last week’s previews are any indicator, there are sure to be man tears tonight. So let’s get started with our  THG +/-  recap system! (Impatient? We don’t blame you. Skip straight to The Bachelorette  spoilers . It’s our little secret.) Madeira is beautiful and completely fueling my wanderlust.  Plus 7 . Chris is falling in love with Desiree. He’s ready to introduce her to his family, buy her a ring, and have a litter of puppies. Or babies. Whichever.  Plus 3 . Des invited girls from her Bachelor season to give her their thoughts on the remaining five bachelors. Among them? Catherine, Sean Lowe’s fiancee. Awkward.    Desiree’s falling in love with more than one guy. Uh-oh. As the girls are chatting about the guys, the guys decide to go for a dip in the pool. Conveniently.  Minus 5 . Drew racks up “best kisser” and “best body” while Chris gets “most athletic.” Brooks gets “best eyes” and Zak gets “most adventurous.” Des has daydreamed of who has the best Junior and says they’ll all be great at first. Naughty, naughty!! Brooks has his second one-on-one date with Desiree and thinks today is about taking things to the next level. Chris can see the connection Des and Brooks have and that makes him nervous. She has to decide if she wants to meet his parents and if she wants him to meet her parents. And Brooks has to decide if he wants to introduce Desiree to his parents. It’s all so angsty.  Minus 7 . Brooks wants to figure out where their relationship is and they decide they need an adjective between like and love to describe where they are. He’s definitely not himself on this date. Des pictures her life with Brooks as an adventure each and every day. She’s falling in love with Brooks and wants him to know it.  Plus 9. They’re on a date that is actually in the clouds. It’s other-worldly. Brooks says that things with the two of them are easy already. He’s looking for someone to put together the puzzle pieces with him. Des can see Brooks as her husband and in the past 30 seconds she’s said “falling in love” or “find love” at least 10 times.  Minus 4 What they both want is to be in love with someone. So they’re on the same page. Des says they’ve had a breakthrough in their relationship but that sounded like a lot of wishy-washy non-committal back-and-forth to my ears.  They share a touching “I’m so glad to be here with you” and then shout that they’re on Cloud 9 out into the, um, clouds. Back at the house, Chris gets a one-on-one date for the following day. He’s ready to give a “Tiger Woods fist pump.” Thus solidifying his superlative as Most Athletic.  Plus 5 Desiree is falling in love with Brooks and hopes that after their dinner, they’ll both be able to say the same.  Brooks’ family gets really attached to his girlfriends, so he’s a little afraid to introduce Des to them. Desiree says that first and foremost, she wants Brooks to  want her to meet his family.  Plus 4 He brings up their adjective game and she says skipping, jogging, running, and finish line. It’s a marathon not a sprint?  Brooks feels like Desiree admitting that she’s running toward the finish line with him was “honest” but he’s “behind in his emotional process.” That sounds like the new “It’s not you, it’s me.”  Minus 9. He decides he needs her to meet his family so that he’ll know if he’s running or jogging or dropping out of the race. Desiree feels fireworks when she kisses Brooks. Eh, could’ve been all the red wine. Chris and Des depart for their date. On a yacht. She’s taking him to a deserted island.  Insert Lost jokes here .  Gratuitous swimsuits for the both of them so they can talk about their hot chemistry while he helps her work out some kinks. Now they’re dressed again and following the deserted island’s well-manicured path.  She asks if the Chris she gets is the Chris his friends get and Chris says “100%.” And then he brings out a bottle and some paper and decides they’re going to write a poem together.  Poems are so William Shakespeare. And by that I mean dead.  Minus 4. They work their way toward the shore to toss in the bottle and Chris says “we’re gonna get a little wet.” Is he talking about the ocean, or their amazing chemistry? Hmmmm.  He’s not falling for Desiree. He’s fallen. And he plans to tell her that night at dinner.  Plus 9. Desiree makes a toast to Chris being such a wonderful and supportive man. She enjoys his “boyish” qualities. I can’t actually decide if that’s a compliment. He asks how big a family she wants and he says three to four kids. Chris is good with that.  Plus 4 . Dinner is going great, conversation and wine is flowing, and then Chris starts sweating. Because he’s nervous. Way, crazy nervous. It’s silly and cute and also ridiculous. Annnnd, there’s another poem.  Minus 4 . Just SAY IT ALREADY. Oh. There it is. Desiree doesn’t say it back, but she does kiss him a lot. She’s falling for him, though, so that’s something. And there’s more kissing. A lot more.  Date #3 in Madeira is with Michael. It’s his first one-on-one date. Here’s hoping he doesn’t prosecute her. Or cross-examine her.  There are no cocktails above the clouds or on deserted islands with Michael. They’re just going to explore the town. That’s already a less awesome date than her other two. Michael knows the color royal blue.  Minus 4 . When Michael kisses Desiree, he feels a flood of emotions. Which I guess is what they’re calling it these days. They take a toboggan ride all the way down the island and she laughs while he makes almost no sounds at all. He’s very…stick in the mud. After seeing her on dates with Brooks and Chris, it’s clear that Michael is not the one. Desiree is looking for vulnerability from Michael, which is a side she has yet to see. He plans to lay it all out there for her. Dinner gets off to an awkward start with Michael thanking her for the day. It’s super weird.  Minus 2 . He definitely shows his softer side when he talks about his mom and the sacrifices she made to raise him. His dad left when he was young and Michael has taken that experience and used it to learn what he’ll do better when he becomes a dad some day. Desiree’s ovaries start to flutter.  Plus 7 . Michael’s last girlfriend cheated on him after moving to Miami to be with him and he was heartbroken. It took him a year to feel ready to move on. And move on he has. To Desiree.  Plus 8 . Michael never stops talking. Ever. Ever ever.  Minus 15 . Zak and Drew are going on a two-on-one date with Desiree. There’s a rose on their date, but neither of them will go home at the end of the night.  They’re racing go karts for Desiree’s heart. And Desiree in a go kart makes Zak’s heart race. Plus 4 . After the three of them go around the track together, Desiree bows out and sends the guys out against each other. The winner gets a prize. Desiree, perhaps?  Zak calls love like the rush of adrenaline when you’re speeding through a race. He wins. Easily.  Plus 12. Poor Drew. Since Zak won the race, he gets alone time with Desiree first. He wants the rose so he can take Desiree back to his hometown. He recaps everything for her with drawings from day one to that moment. These are way better than Chris’ poems. Way.  Plus 23 . After some kissing, he makes her laugh and holds back the words “I Love You” since she’s also on a date with Drew.  Plus 12 . Drew’s glad that it’s finally his time with Desiree and considers this date and introducing her to his family a “statement of his future intentions.”  He says his family was almost as excited that he would be meeting her as he was. So that’s not creepy at all. She tries to get him to loosen up a little and he giggles. It’s ridiculous.  Minus 3 . He’s never had feelings like this before. With anyone. And he’s fallen in love with her.  Zak maybe should’ve stepped up his game a little bit and dropped the L word. It’s not looking good for him right now. She gives the rose to Drew.  And now it’s time for a rose ceremony. There’s another reminder that feelings have formed as Desiree heads into a chat with Chris Harrison.  Since she’s done a good job of keeping the five relationships separate, there’s a good chance someone’s getting his heart broken tonight.  Desiree says that Drew is the best looking guy she’s ever met and also kind. She smiles and giggles when Chris says “Brooks.” Since their date, she’s hit the finish line regarding Brooks. But Brooks doesn’t know that yet. She tears up when she thinks about being in love again.  Chris asks if things are over and she says she’s still keeping an open mind. And also falling in love with Chris, too. She’s made her decision so they head into the rose ceremony. Drew is safe and will be introducing Desiree to his family next week on the hometown dates. She’ll also be meeting Brooks’ family. And Chris’ family. And Zak’s family.  It’s back to Miami for Michael.  Plus 10. Her relationships with the other guys have grown in ways that her relationship with Michael hasn’t. He’s heartbroken but he thinks the world of her.  He was excited to introduce her to his family and says that no girl will be able to match up to her so he doesn’t know when he’ll ever be able to date again. Hey Michael? That sort of thing is why you’re going home, dude. He calls his mom from the limo ride to the airport. So that’s sweet? EPISODE TOTAL: +63 SEASON TOTAL: +389

Black On The 4th Of July: Blogger Shares Unpleasant Plane Experience After Spotting Seatmate Text “Sitting Thigh To Thigh With A Big Fat N-Word”

If you’re anything like us, the 4th of July holiday was met with mixed emotions. But things were particularly tough for a black professor and blogger who experienced racism firsthand on the plane ride home to Louisiana for the holiday weekend. Brittney Cooper shared her story via Salon.com , which we’ve excerpted below: As we boarded, I noticed that this mom and I would be sitting in the same row, I in the window seat, she in the center. As we sat awaiting takeoff, I finished a text conversation and signaled to the flight attendant for a seat-belt extender, a fat passenger’s best friend. Then just as the call came to shut our phones off, I glanced over at her, and she was still texting, rapidly. I caught a few words of the end of her text that made me look more intently: “on the plane, sitting thigh to thigh with a big fat n***er. Lucky me.” Immediately I was hyper-aware – looking around, feeling marked, wondering if others find my large, dark-skinned body as distasteful as my seatmate did. Even so, I was acutely aware, at least intellectually, that the problem lay with her and not me. But what would my recourse be. Though she was no toothpick herself, she is a white lady, a mom, with children and a husband – all the trappings of American middle-class respectability. Moreover, she sent those words in a private text communication. I am a fat, dark-skinned black woman. Had I gone off and set it off as she deserved, in all probability I would have been seen as the terrorist threat. Especially on the eve of the Fourth of July. I started by sharing her words in a status update on Facebook — in part because in recent days, I have seen one too many friends, both black and white, readily defending Paula Deen, and arguing that her use of the N-word was an understandable byproduct of her Southern roots and most assuredly a relic of a bygone era. However, as far as I could tell, this young family, in which the parents looked to be mid- to late 30s, were Northerners. So after waiting awhile and getting a handle on the tears that started coming steadily after I saw her words, I simply got her attention and asked her to read the Facebook status from my smartphone. She saw it, kind of grunted her assent, and then said nothing. So I pressed forward, in a low voice: “I just want to let you know that your words were hurtful. And I hope you don’t pass that kind of ignorance down to your beautiful boys.” She replied curtly, “I don’t.” What would you have done if you were Brittney?

First of all – I can’t believe I’m writing this. My very own…

First of all – I can’t believe I’m writing this. My very own Bieber Experience. Ever since I became a belieber in April 2011 I’ve been longing for this moment. I’ve been coming on this site, reading everybody’s MBEs and always thinking “that should be me.” Today, it’s finally my turn. It just once again proves that Justin isn’t lying when he tells us that dreams come true. Never say never! I met Justin on April 23rd at the meet & greet in Stockholm, Sweden. It all started on December 18th last year when something very unexpected happened. Swedish Ticketmaster suddenly decided to release a whole bunch of new tickets without telling anybody. I found out in a Facebook group called “Swedish Beliebers”, because someone had discovered that there were tickets on sale and people were going crazy. I already had tickets for both concerts, so I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to it. I went for the meet & greet tickets and obviously I didn’t expect anything. I mean, the tickets had gone on sale like 20 minutes ago so I figured everything would be sold out. After trying a couple of times I suddenly found myself holding a VIP meet & greet experience ticket, and I freaked out. I couldn’t believe it. I decided to buy the meet & greet. It was just so unexpected that I got it, and feel free to laugh at me but it kinda felt like a sign. None of my parents were home so I called my dad on his cell and through the tears I told him that I had gotten a meet & greet ticket and that he needed to give me his credit card details so I could buy it. First he was a little unwilling, but as I promised to give him the money in cash as soon as he got home, and probably because he realized how much it would mean to me, he agreed to help me. FINALLY, the day of the meet & greet arrived. April 23rd, 2013. The day when I would meet Justin Drew Bieber – my inspiration, the boy that I had loved and supported for more than 2 years. It felt surreal. I got to the venue at around 4:30 and met up with my friends. They were already in line for the meet & greet. I was so nervous and when some people started to play Justin’s cover of “I’ll Be” from a cellphone, I couldn’t hold back the tears anymore. I just couldn’t believe my dream was about to come true in just a few hours. I would actually get to say something to Justin and hug him – the boy that I had fallen in love with two years ago when I watched him singing “One Less Lonely Girl” in that white outfit that made him look like an angel. While we were waiting a bunch of stuff happened. They were doing giveaways with a Believe tour necklace, a shoe that belonged to one of the dancers, Justin’s towel and some other things. We also got to meet a lot of people from the crew: Dan, Tay James, Kenny, Mike, Kaili, Elysandra, Deirdre and Luke. All of them were SO nice. After a long wait they were telling us to get in line for the meet & greet. It didn’t take long before I was first in line and got let in to the little room with drapes around it were the photos were taken. All I could see was Justin’s gorgeous face. Ugh he was so perfect. He looked like a doll – there wasn’t a single flaw in his face. He seemed tired and a little down though. I obviously couldn’t believe it was him. Even though I had been that close to him before (at the concerts) this was something completely different. He wasn’t in his shining stage clothes, singing and dancing in front of thousands of people. This time, it was just him. Right in front of me. Only when you experience it yourself you can truly understand what it’s like. When the other girl was done taking her photo I was kinda pushed by one of the guards towards Justin. I was in shock, obviously, but tried my best to act normal. I somehow managed to get the words, “Justin, I love you!” out of my mouth, and I probably repeated them several times just to make sure he heard me. This time I experienced it myself and it’s like I have a memory loss. Or more like a dream, I guess. I remember some details but most of it is just a blur. I told him I loved him and walked towards him with my arms open. I hugged him and he hugged me back, and it was so perfect and he was so warm and soft and he smelled so good. While hugging me he kinda spun me around so that I would be faced toward the camera. I couldn’t even see a lens, or a camera man, or anything, because everything was just kinda fuzzy, but I put a smile on my face and hoped for the best. After the picture was taken Justin said, “I love you too babe.” I didn’t even realize what he had just called me until afterwards, but I hugged him again and said, “Thank you for everything!” as the guards took me by my waist and pulled me away. Literally the second I stepped out of the meet & greet room I lost it and bursted into tears. I couldn’t believe I had just hugged my idol. At that moment I also realized that he had said that he loved me, and called me “babe.” I kept crying for several minutes and my friends were crying too. My meeting with Justin may have only lasted for about 5 seconds, but those were the best 5 seconds of my entire life. Even though I can hardly remember anything from it, the few things that I did take in are going to stay in my memory forever. His eyes when they met mine, the way he hugged me and held his arm around me when we took the picture, his voice when he told me he loved me too. It was the most amazing moment of my life. In case you’re reading this thinking you will never meet Justin – I just want to tell you that you WILL, someday. I promise! One way or another, you will meet him, and it’ll be just as amazing as you imagined it to be. Just NEVER SAY NEVER, and believe. It pays off. -Miranda (@AlwaysYouJustin) Visit link: First of all – I can’t believe I’m writing this. My very own…

Jamie Foxx Honors Trayvon Martin with T-Shirt at BET Awards

Jamie Foxx donned a t-shirt in honor of slain teen Trayvon Martin at the BET Awards last night. But the actor says he wasn’t make any kind of political statement with the act. “The reason for the shirt is that I met his mom personally… it’s not political, it’s not left, it’s not right, it’s not black, it’s not white, this is about the kid,” Foxx told Kevin Frazier of The Insider , adding: “For all of us, no matter what color you are… I have kids [one who is] 19. I have a kid who’s 4. You want to protect them.” At the MTV Movie Awards in April, Foxx wore a different shirt with the faces of Martin and the children killed at the Newtown shooting on it. Accompanying those images were the words “Know Justice, Know Peace.” The George Zimmerman trial , meanwhile, is underway with the man accused of murdering Martin claiming he acted in self-defense.

Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be…

See the original post here:

Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be meeting my idol. My name is Penny and I’m from Vancouver, Canada . I am 14 years old and I met Justin on October 10, 2012. Back when Justin did his My World Tour I really wanted m&g but I couldn’t get any. Later, my cousin found really good seats and bought those. My parents promised me the next time he came they would buy my meet and greet. When Justin announced he was doing the Believe Tour, I took the opportunity to ask my parents. At first they were hesitant because of the high prices but then they said yes. I cannot explain how happy I was. On the day of the concert, my mom, my best friend and I got there an hour before the meet and greet started to collect our tickets. When we went to the will call booth, they wouldn’t give us our tickets because they said since my dad bought the tickets they can only give them to the buyer. MY HEART DROPPED. After a few minutes of arguing with them, they finally gave us our tickets. That very second I couldn’t believe I was going to meet my idol. Since I was crying, the man that was giving us our wristbands was like ”Wipe away those tears. You don’t want a picture with Justin crying.” He put the lanyards on us and gave us our wristbands. WORDS CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW HAPPY I WAS. Then a woman took us upstairs where we would be meeting Justin. The security explained how we couldn’t ask for anything and we weren’t allowed any recording devices. We waited in line for about an hour. While we were waiting, DJ Tay James walked by but nobody noticed except for my best friend and I. Kenny also rode by on his segway but told us he couldn’t take pictures. After an hour or so the line finally started moving. It never really hit me that I was going to meet my idol until I was standing in line to actually meet him. When it was our turn, DJ Tay James walked passed us again. This time my best friend and I yelled out “WE KNOW THE DJ DOT COM” and he smiled at us. When Kenny pulled the curtain back for us, my best friend and I yelled out “HI KENNY” and he smiled at us.  When I walked in, I saw Justin. He was fixing his hair or something, I literally couldn’t breath. Trust me, when people say he looks better in person, they are not lying. I guess he noticed my best friend and I just staring at him in awe and he was like ‘HI GIRLS’ while gesturing us for a hug. I went up to him and hugged him. It was amazing! I was hugging the one person I love. I got a full on hug and my best friend got a side hug. Once I got out of the hug, the cameraman was like “Smile for a picture.” At that moment I knew my picture was going to come out bad, but I didn’t really care. After we took the picture, I had to leave. While I was leaving, Justin was still holding onto my waist. While we were leaving, my best friend was like, “I love you Justin,” and I did the same. He was like “Aw I love you too.” When we got out, they gave our autographed Believe records. Right away, my best friend and I called our parents and told them about our meet and greet with Justin. The concert was amazing. We had front row seats, Kenny stood in front of us the whole concert, Carly waved at us, Justin looked right into our eyes, and Dan waved at me. The concert was amazing. He was born to perform. This experience wouldn’t have been complete without my best friend and Justin. I remember my best friend and I made a promise about 2 years ago that we would meet Justin together and I cant believe it came true. All I have to say is NEVER SAY NEVER. I know that sounds cliché but its true. If I had given up, I wouldn’t be writing this right now. I love you Justin and to all those Beliebers that haven’t met Justin, ALWAYS BELIEVE -Penny (@stratfordmercy) Go here to read the rest: Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be…

The Sister Of Aaron Hernandez Murdered BFF Odin Lloyd Speaks Out For The First Time! [Video]

Wankster azz Aaron Hernandez not only ruined his own life, but ultimately the lives of many, many others… Odin Lloyd’s Sister Speaks Out For The First Time Since His Murder Via ABCNews A star football player is in jail, charged with murder. Another man was sent to the same jail today on related weapons charges. And a third man in Florida turned himself in after authorities labeled him an “accessory after murder.” Lost in the haze of fast-moving developments is a 27-year-old Connecticut man named Odin Lloyd. Massachusetts prosecutors say Lloyd, a semi-pro football player, was a friend of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez – that is until Hernandez allegedly murdered him in cold blood on June 17. Lloyd is to be mourned at funeral services today. In an exclusive interview with ABC News, Lloyd’s sister broke her silence to remember the brother she knew. “I’m still trying to process what’s going on,” Olivia Thibou said. “I feel like I relive every day in my dreams. I go to sleep and I relive everything that’s broadcast on TV. I relive the night that we found out. I relive just everything. Even when I’m sleeping at night, I feel like it’s just a bad dream I’m not waking up from.” We can’t even begin to imagine what that kind of pain feels like… Thibou teared up recalling the words uttered by prosecutors. But she acknowledged that Lloyd and Hernandez were friends. “I do know that they were friends,” she said, though she didn’t want to say more. Because of that friendship, Thibou said she’s having a hard time understanding how her brother could have met the end he did. “It’s confusing,” she said. “I don’t think there’s anything that any man can do to have their life taken away. So I can’t even begin to process everything. It still feels like yesterday, that we just found out.” Lloyd’s sister said the football was her brother’s life even though he wasn’t fortunate enough to make a living at it the way Hernandez did (the Patriots released Hernandez right after he was arrested Wednesday). “He wanted to go to college and play football but, unfortunately, because of financial aid issues, he never ended up starting it,” she said, “and he ended up just joining the work force to raise money and see if he could go back to school.” R.I.P. Odin Lloyd, our thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family and friends. You can go HERE to watch Olivia’s interview in it’s entirety. Image via ABCNews Continue reading
