Quote Of The Day: Bill Cosby To Donald Trump “Run or Shut up!”

Uh oh, “The Donald” done ran Bill hot! Legendary actor-comedian Bill Cosby said that Donald Trump is “full of it” when it comes to his potential bid for the White House, telling TODAY’s Meredith Vieira Thursday that Trump should “run or shut up.” Cosby was passionately talking about his work helping to further education in downtrodden urban neighborhoods, but he worked himself into a lather when Vieira asked him about Trump, who appeared in an earlier show segment. Vieira mentioned her lengthy, pretaped interview with the business mogul in which he talked about the possibility of his running for president in 2012. Funnyman Cosby grimaced and said, “Oh, please, with Donald Trump, take him home with you!” “Why do you say that?” Vieira asked. Cosby responded, “Because he’s full of it,” then sat silent with a chagrined look on his face for several seconds. While Vieira pressed him on what prompted his attitude toward Trump, Cosby said that he is tired of Trump’s “will he or won’t he?” waffling about throwing his hat in the ring for the nation’s highest office. “You run or shut up,” Cosby said. When Meredith implied that Trump would have to be “taken seriously” if he does decide to run, Cosby made it clear who’s side he was on. While saying “I don’t care” as to whether Trump officially runs for president, Cosby bristled when Vieira said, “If he runs, you’ve got to take it seriously.” “No, I don’t,”” Cosby replied. “Not him, not him. Look, people have run for president for any reason. Come on, open your mouth — run!” The former 1980s sitcom star, who still continues to pack theaters with his stand-up comedy act, did use some of his trademark humor to show he is definitely with Team Obama when it comes to the current administration. “I like him very, very much,”” he told Vieira. “I love his wife, I love his children, I love his mother-in-law. I think they have a dog — I love his dog.” Bill can be as peaceful a man as he wants to be, but something about the tone of his voice suggests that he would love for Trump to catch his fade! Source

DJ Trauma Wants To Make ‘Classic’ Mixtapes

‘I remember having a Kid Capri tape from ’88; I still have the cassette tape,’ Atlanta DJ tells Mixtape Daily. By Alvin Blanco, with reporting by Rahman Dukes DJ Trauma Photo: MTV News DJ Trauma is taking his skills to a bigger stage. After spinning at Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 for 10 years, Trauma recently left the station to focus on being the tour DJ for Ciara and Sean “The Pen” Garrett, as well as his own Carte Blanche team. Trauma has long been a key member of the ATL DJ/mixtape scene thanks to his role as a co-founder of the Superfriends DJ clique, his work on radio and as a staple on the club scene, holding down parties for Diddy, Jamie Foxx and Jay-Z, among others. Although Trauma has plenty of hip-hop ties, he believes his breakthrough mixtape was last year’s #ialmostmadeamixtape, which had him teaming up with British R&B crooner Estelle. “I really wanted to start focusing on the music that I love to hear and I want to help the world hear,” Trauma told Mixtape Daily. “I want to create mixtapes that are not disposable. That’s part of what’s wrong with the mixtape game now, ’cause I remember having a Kid Capri tape from ’88, I still have the cassette tape. People still download the links. I want to create tapes like that, that no matter what, it’s classic. A Trap or Die [mixtape] is classic. That’s the type of mixtape I want to create. Even if it’s an Estelle, which is kind of like pop music or soul, a lot of her records are real soulful and real good music. I want to do stuff like that.” While Trauma’s output also includes a tape with neo-soul singer (and Barack Obama playlist entry) Anthony David, his latest is an EP with former “American Idol” contestant Anoop Desai. Titled Zero.0, Trauma eventually assembled all of the producers and songwriters for the project, earning himself a co-executive producer credit. “What ended up happening is it turned into a real album,” Trauma said of Zero.0, the first of planned trilogy. “It’s called Zero because everything starts and ends from zero. … [Anoop] used to sing in an acapella group. You get his soul and R&B influences on the tape but then you also end off with his single, ‘OoWee,’ which is like a straight dance/pop song.” Billboard hosted the free mixtape upon its initial release and on April 20 a high-quality version will be available for purchase on iTunes. Next, Trauma plan to drop another mixtape, The Sex Tape Chronicles 2, with Verse Simmonds, as well as his own I Am the Party project, inspired by music that gets people jamming no matter what part of the world they’re in. As Trauma put it, “No matter where you are in the world, you can party with me.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines .

Taylor Swift’s A Fan Of Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, 50 Cent

The pop singer explains on ‘The Tonight Show’ that she’s been ‘listening to a lot of rap, hip-hop music right now.’ By Jocelyn Vena Taylor Swift on the “Tonight” show Photo: NBC Taylor Swift was recently snapped by the prying paparazzi lenses doing something quite shocking. No, she wasn’t stumbling out of a nightclub or caught wearing a skirt and no underwear — rather, the pop superstar was photographed buying stuff at Target. “I’m spending a few weeks out in L.A. ’cause I have video shoots and stuff to do so I needed to go buy a record player and they have really good ones at Target,” she explained to Jay Leno when she stopped by “The Tonight Show” on Tuesday night. “I’ve been listening to a lot of music on vinyl. It makes it an event.” During her interview, Swift also admitted that she’s been spinning some unexpected tunes. “I listen to everything. Right now I’m listening to a lot of 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson and Rihanna,” she revealed. “I’m listening to a lot of rap, hip-hop music right now.” Swift may have love for hip-hop, but on Sunday night she was honored for her work in country music when she was awarded the Entertainer of the Year prize at the Academy of Country Music Awards. “I am still really just blown away and so excited that the fans have been so nice to me,” she explained to Leno. “It’s been a really good week. We came back from our tour in Europe and Asia and we had one day in Nashville. Nashville’s where I live and I love it more than anywhere in the world and one of the reasons for that is because in Nashville, country music award shows are like the Super Bowl. I was out and about on my day off … and everywhere I would go someone would tap me on the shoulder [and wish me good luck].” Swift admitted that she did have a good omen the night of the ceremony … she saw her lucky number, 13, pop up mid-show. “The night of the award show they were announcing the nominees for Album of the Year. And they showed Kenny Chesney … and as they’re playing a clip of his video it shows a football player running towards the screen with a ’13’ on his jersey… and it ended up being good [for me],” she explained. And, while it doesn’t seem like Swift will slow down anytime soon in terms of her music career, she told Leno that she does have a backup plan: haircutting. “Because we were on the tour for two months… you’re on the road and you get bored,” she recalled. “So I cut [my bandmate’s] hair [and] she looked awesome and so I started cutting all the people on the road’s hair.” Would you let Taylor cut your hair? Britney Spears To Release Two ‘Till The World Ends’ Videos

A director’s cut and a choreography cut of the video will both be released. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: MTV News & Docs Who needs one “Till the World Ends” video when you can have two? Well, it seems that Britney Spears’ fans will get just that. JustJared.com reports that the singer will release two videos for her second single from Femme Fatale. According to the site, “The director’s cut will have more of an apocalyptic story line while the choreography cut will have the unabridged version of Britney’s dance moves.” The video was directed by Ray Kay and shot in Los Angeles last month. The video features Spears in sexy, body-hugging clothes getting sweaty with her dancers. “The set was a little much. It was grimy and gross and it felt like there was poop everywhere when there wasn’t,” she recalled in Sunday’s MTV special “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale.” “It was sweat and it was disgusting sometimes … [I] tough it out,” she laughed. In the video sneak peek featured in the special, Spears opted to change out of her sexy heels to dance in more practical Uggs. “It hurts … but it looks good,” she explained. “It wasn’t a full-length shot, so a girl’s about comfort when it’s not showing.” She later added, “It was a lot of fun. I had never worked with Ray Kay before. I was really happy with the work we did.” Spears’ “Till The World Ends” songwriter, Ke$ha , opened up to People.com about how she’d like to hang out with the pop star now that they’ve worked on a hit pop song together. “Skinny dipping. It would be a dress-up-like-Ke$ha-or-Britney party. Either her place or my place, it doesn’t matter,” the “Blow” singer said, describing their perfect hang-out. “I have a small, salt-water pool [at my house in Nashville] that has laser beams in it and a stereo so you can be underwater listening to music.” Are you excited for two “Till the World Ends” videos? Robert Pattinson Says Love Usually Begins ‘At First Sight’

‘There has to be some kind of moment where you feel a different energy around someone,’ the ‘Water for Elephants’ star tells MTV News. By Aly Semigran, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson Photo: MTV News Robert Pattinson is sure of two things: Love at first sight can exist and he always has something on his lips (though, coincidentally enough, they have nothing to do with one another.) When MTV News caught up with Pattinson to discuss his latest project, “Water for Elephants,” the topic turned to whether he believes in love at first sight. His “Elephants” character, Jacob, goes through something similar when he experiences an instant attraction and connection to Marlena (Reese Witherspoon) . “I think people can [fall in love at first sight],” said the 24-year-old star, who has been romantically linked in real life to his “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart . “I think pretty much all people who love each other, had some kind of thing at first sight,” he continued. “I mean, there has to be some kind of moment where you, like, feel a different energy around someone.” RPattz went on to make the argument that, “Generally, if you don’t notice someone ever, you’re probably not going to fall in love with them.” In other words, Robert Pattinson probably doesn’t believe in too many romantic comedies! But if you’re still hoping a simple run-in with Pattinson will make for a love match, there’s something you should probably know about him: He has some strange habits where his lips are concerned. During our “love at first sight” chat, Pattinson got distracted and wondered aloud, “Oh, why do I always have stuff on my lip?!” After mimicking licking his lips, the actor said this sort of thing happens “like, constantly!” Pattinson then joked that the lip thing was a reoccurring problem during every interview he’d had while promoting “Water for Elephants” over the weekend. “If I keep my mouth closed for 20 seconds, my lips [get] stuck together,” RPattz complained. We’d be willing to bet there are some hard-core fans out there more than willing to remedy that problem. Do you, like Robert Pattinson, believe in love at first sight? Tell us in the comments! Britney Spears Talks Filming ‘Grimy’ ‘Till The World Ends’ Video

Singer opens up about the Ray Kay-directed video in ‘I Am the Femme Fatale’ MTV special. By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Sway Calloway Britney Spears Photo: MTV News & Docs Britney Spears took fans behind the scenes on her music video shoot for her second Femme Fatale single, “Till the World Ends,” in her MTV special, “Britney Spears: I Am the Femme Fatale.” The video was shot in a dank basement somewhere in Los Angeles. Spears and her dancers don rocking post-apocalyptic black clothing, with Spears dancing around in a studded black leather jacket and a sexy black bodysuit. In the special, Spears is seen watching the playback on the Ray Kay-directed video. “[I watched it] just to make sure it’s right and that the costume looks right and the dancers are together and we all look in unison,” she explained. “It’s an energy and it looks fresh. It has a certain vibe with it and it makes sense.” This marks nearly the 40th music video Spears has made in her career. And these days, she says she is just looking to have a good time. When asked if she feels she needs to top herself with every project, she responded, “Not really. I feel like I’ve made so many videos that I’m at the point that I genuinely want to enjoy myself, and I have such a good team of people with me … we just have fun.” As much fun as shooting a video can be, it’s also a lot of work. At one point during the making of “Till the World Ends,” Spears wanted nothing more than a quick break. “The set was a little much. It was grimy and gross and it felt like there was poop everywhere when there wasn’t,” she recalled. “It was sweat and it was disgusting sometimes … [I] tough it out,” she laughed. Another sticking point during the shoot was the discomfort Spears felt while dancing around in heels. “It hurts … but it looks good,” she said, adding that sometimes she changes into Uggs. “It wasn’t a full-length shot, so a girl’s about comfort when it’s not showing.” At the end of the day though, the video was a lot more fun than work to shoot. “It was a lot of fun. I had never worked with Ray Kay before. I was really happy with the work we did,” she said.
