Justin Bieber Graduates High School!

He has proven himself in the acting world, the publishing world and, oh yes, the music world. But Justin Bieber continues to impress, conquering yet another discipline this week by officially graduating from high school. “I just finished,” Bieber tells Great Britain’s The Daily Telegraph . “I passed my test — I’m free! It was hard doing school and work every day.” Why would a 19-year old millionaire even need his high school diploma? “That was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her,” he said. “I mean, this kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. I’ve been able to travel the world. At school, usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading. I’m really not into that stuff. I like to be out there.” And out there he clearly has been, traveling the world, coming up with new business ventures. The latest, the fragrance “Someday,” will serve as a means of charity: for every bottle sold in Australia, $2 of the proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. “I’m so blessed to be in this position,” Justin says. “With everything I do, I try to give back.”

Kanye West’s ‘Lost In The World’ Video Months In The Making

‘We’ve probably been tweaking and working on it for six months,’ director Ruth Hogben tells MTV News. By Nadeska Alexis Kanye West in his video for “Lost in the World” Photo: Roc-A-Fella Records Kanye West surprised and confused fans last week when, out of the blue, he dropped a video for “Lost in the World” off his fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. But director Ruth Hogben tells MTV News that she and ‘Ye actually shot the video together last summer. Hogben, a fashion filmmaker, explained that she was introduced to Kanye through her SHOWStudio colleague Nick Knight, who thought that she would be a good fit to work with the eccentric rapper/producer. The pair first began discussing their plans for the video around May 2011, and they captured all of the visuals in a two-day shoot later that summer. “I think he just wanted something that represented the song really well,” Hogben said, detailing the brainstorming session. “He explained how he felt about the song and it was a really interesting process because he just talked to me about the song — how he felt about the lyrics, about the beat. He was really very concerned about how he felt about the track, so that’s where it started. “It was a really strong collaborative process,” she continued. “The conversation was very organic — he says one thing, I say one thing, he sends a picture, I send a picture. So it was a creative conversation that just kept rolling. We had a two-day shoot and then we spent quite a long time working on the edit together, making sure that it was right. We’ve probably been tweaking and working on it for about six months.” On first look, the black-and-white clip seems to play up the desperation of the Bon Iver-featured “Lost in the World,” with West and his dancers set against the dark, ominous backdrop, but Hogben describes the final product as “energetic.” She maintains that fans are supposed to come up with their individual interpretations of the clip. Even the dancers in the video were given the creative freedom to let loose. “It was actually their interpretation of the song,” Hogben explained. “Kanye didn’t say to them, ‘Dance this way.’ We wanted an interpretation of how they felt about the song.” Related Artists Kanye West

I’m Ryan, 19 from London. My friend Lauren came down from Manchester to stay at my place so we could try and meet Justin. We woke up early Monday morning (23/04/12) and set off out into Central London. We decided that we’d just go to the hotel where he stayed when he came over to turn the lights on at Westfield Mall. I tried to meet him that time, but was unsuccessful. As soon as we got there we saw around 20 fans, so we knew we were in the right place. Everyone stayed calm, thanks to Kadra’s skills at crowd control and when Justin arrived he stood on the wall and reached out to fans and touched their hands! Later on we found out that Justin was going to be at the Supperclub, so we turned up and we saw Kenny, Allison and Alfredo go inside the club along with members of the press, but no Justin. Kenny came out and started choosing fans from the crowd and Lauren & I were chosen. We were so excited and nervous that we were going to be let inside to hear the album and potentially meet Justin! We went inside and Reggie Yates introduced Justin on stage and he answered some questions. He then played Boyfriend and the 10 of us at the back were dancing to it and all of the press were looking at us! He played 6 more songs off the album such as ‘Believe’ and ‘Around the World’ and can I just say this album is amazing so far. Like, I can’t even; I’m so excited for the rest of the world to hear it. After the event had finished, Kenny brought Justin to the back of the room to meet us and when it came to my turn to meet him. I shook his hand & told him “Believe is an amazing song, I love it and I’m so excited for what’s to come” and he said “Thanks”. I asked him to follow me on twitter and he asked me for my Twitter name so I said ‘ryanswaggy’ and he then asked “is that spelled with a Y or an IE” at this point I was over the moon that I was actually interacting with Justin Bieber! So I replied “it’s spelled with a Y, you know, cause you changed it” and he looked at me with a grin. The next day he was going to radio so we got an early start and arrived at the hotel for 6am, Moshie came out and told us he was coming out at around 8, so we waited and his car pulled on to the sidewalk and he leaned towards the window to talk to fans, it got a bit crowded so he drove off. When he returned after his miniature radio tour the amount of fans that gathered outside the hotel required the police to attend and keep everyone in order, so I decided to go home and get some sleep. Lauren stayed overnight and she got to meet him at 1am, I got there at 1:20am and was gutted that I missed him. I waited alone for about 10 minutes and his car pulled into the hotel so I cautiously ran round after the car and called “Justin! Justin!” He got out the car and walked towards me. I was shaking! I told him that I missed him by 5 minutes earlier and he said “That’s okay.” I said to him that I was at the Believe album launch the other night and that I loved the album so far. I asked him for a picture to which he replied “Yeah sure.” Moshie took the picture! I said thank you and I said again that Believe was amazing work so far and he said thank you. As I walked away I shouted, “ryanswaggy” as to remind him to follow me on twitter and he shouted back, “Yes, SWAGGY!” A day passed and he was leaving London so we went back to the hotel to see him off. We decided to wait all night just in case he was flying out early. We met Kenny and Alfredo again as they were going out to celebrate Kenny’s birthday. Justin left the following afternoon and we both felt so depressed that’d he had gone. I woke up on the morning after (27/04/12) to find out that he had followed me on Twitter and I will always proclaim that this week had been the best week of my life. Justin was so good to his fans that week as he always has been, I just want to say a big thank you to Justin, Kenny & Alfredo for making the week so amazing. If i’ve learned anything from this week, it’s that Justin is the coolest person I’ve ever met, he’s so normal and caring its just very refreshing. Can’t break us! BELIEVE!! -@ryanswaggy Read the original: I’m Ryan, 19 from London. My friend Lauren came down from…

‘The Expendables 2’ Trailer: Five Key Scenes

Sylvester Stallone and his team return to fight an unexpected threat in this action-packed trailer. By Fallon Prinzivalli Sylvester Stallone in “The Expendables 2” Photo: Lionsgate After teasing the film with exclusive posters and movie stills , the first full-length trailer for “The Expendables 2” finally dropped Thursday (May 3). IGN premiered the preview to the action-packed film with an intro from Sylvester Stallone himself. “If you thought the first movie kicked some serious ass,” Sly says, “you haven’t seen anything yet.” With an A-List cast including Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean-Claude Van Damme and newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Chuck Norris, we don’t doubt the “Rocky” actor’s words. The film follows the return of Barney Ross (Stallone) and his team as Mr. Church (Willis) enlists the Expendables for a job that seems like easy money. When one of their crew is murdered, however, the revenge they seek leaves them stranded in enemy territory having to combat an unexpected threat. Check out the five key scenes from the action-packed trailer: Swinging Into Action The trailer opens with sirens blaring and the crew propelling down a zip-line into the middle of a forest. As you’d expect, the firing begins immediately as sparks start flying and a truck flips over — and we’re only 30 seconds in. Just when you think Barney Ross and his team are the ones doing the ass-kicking, they’re surrounded by the enemy. Lee Christmas (Statham) looks over Barney and asks, “That loaded?” Barney replies, “I hope so,” and begins taking their captors down one by one with a hidden gun in his hand — or did he? The shot then cuts to newcomer Bill “The Kid” Timmons (Hemsworth), who is hiding in the trees with a smoking gun. Time to Reload The team loads their weapons as Barney tells the Kid, “Somebody’s hooked.” Protecting the world by taking out the bad guys with some heavy artillery — who wouldn’t be? The next scene shows Lee in priest robes saying, “I now pronounce you man and knife,” and cuts away before we catch a glimpse of who he inevitably stabs. The next clips show various members of the team speeding off on motorcycles, engaging in hand to hand combat, taking down helicopters and setting off explosion after explosion. The Threat Our villain comes in the form of Jean-Claude Van Damme (aptly named Jean Vilain) who’s planning on using a very powerful chemical to change the balance of the world. World dominance, that’s what every bad guy is after, right? As we see his team gathering, the tagline flashes across the screen, “When the threat is this great, everyone is expendable.” If everyone’s expendable, Barney is going to need a lot more men to get through this one. Cue Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarzenegger Like clockwork the invincible Chuck Norris (Booker) approaches the camera walking away from cars engulfed in flames and smoke. (Cool guys don’t look at explosions, remember?) Next is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s (Trench) turn to get in a version of his classic tagline: “I’m back.” As he says it, he leans out of a window wearing a band of bullets around his chest and casually smoking a cigar. Killing a few bad guys? Been there, done that. The Plan When Lee asks the plan of attack to stop the enemy, Barney says, “Track ’em, find ’em, kill ’em.” And you guessed it, more explosions, more knife fights, and bullets, bullets, bullets. If you’re looking for an action film, you will not be disappointed. One clip that stood out was Church pulling up in a tiny car and telling Trench to get in. He rips the door off the automobile as he climbs in and says, “My shoe is bigger than this car.” It hints at the inevitable comedy involved in a film with an all-star cast. In the final sequence, Barney drives a plane into a tunnel and Lee says, “You’re going to need a new plane.” The two laugh as the screen fades to black. “The Expendables 2” will explode into theaters August 17. Vanessa Williams vs. Toddlers & Tiaras: Choose a Side!

It is on between Vanessa Williams and one of the moms involved with Toddlers & Tiaras . During an appearance this week with Anderson Cooper on his talk show, the actress said of the aforementioned series: “When the child is screaming and saying, ‘I don’t want to do this. I don’t feel like doing it.’ When they are using special juice to get them hyped… that’s not my world and I would never have my kids do that.” Cue a reaction from Wendy Dickey, the mother of Paisley, a controversial member of the Toddlers & Tiaras cast who has dressed like a hooker and like a biker girl for segments on the show. “Posing nude and having an abortion is ‘not my world’ and I would never have my kids do that,” Wendy said, referring to Vanessa’s Playboy past and her recent admission that she aborted a fetus in high school. “So easy on the judging Vanessa!” The claws are out and it’s getting personal on both sides. Which are you on?
