Wiz Khalifa Promises ‘Theatrical’ Set At Tonight’s Movie Awards

‘My show is evolving … so it’s going to be more themed,’ Wiz teases. Tune in tonight at 9 p.m. ET on MTV! By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News Spielberg, if you’re watching on Sunday (June 3), you might want to keep an eye on Wiz Khalifa . The Taylor Gang captain is set to take the stage at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards where he’ll perform his new single “Work Hard, Play Hard” . And while Wiz will show off his musical talents, Hollywood may also get a glimpse of his acting chops. “My show is evolving and everything that I’m doing, so it’s going to be more themed,” Wiz told MTV News’ Sway Calloway after his rehearsal at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. “It’s for the Movie [Awards], so it’s going to be more theatrical. … People are going to see that side of it as well as me performing and giving my energy.” Khalifa has already done some on-camera work. Last, year he and Snoop Dogg shot their upcoming stoner comedy “Mac & Devin Go to High School.” It was Wiz’s first acting gig, but by the time the movie wrapped, the Pittsburgh MC could see his own progress.” I had to do makeup every day to cover my tattoos. I had to spray my hair to get the blond out, but it was cool. It was an experience, and it was really, really fun to be a novice at acting, be brand-new and then have to learn,” Khalifa told us last December. “I watched the movie, and I can actually see myself getting better in the movie.” For now, however, Wiz seems mostly focused on the music. On August 28, he’s scheduled to drop his sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C. (Only N—a in First Class), and fans will get to hear him perform the LP’s first single on Sunday night during the big show. Of course, tonight’s “theatrical” set should build anticipation for the upcoming album and, if it helps Wiz land a new acting gig or two, he’d welcome the opportunity. “That would be tight,” he said with his signature Khalifa cackle. WATCH: Russell Brand Better Keep Mark Wahlberg Out Of Movie Awards Monologue

‘I hope he doesn’t say nothin’ smart about me, because he’s going to ‘unpredictably’ get his ass whooped,’ ‘Fighter’ star jokes to MTV News. By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Mark Wahlberg Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — Mark Wahlberg has a message for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards host: Crack the wrong jokes, Russell Brand , and you’d better duck. Speaking to MTV News backstage at the taping of the Spike TV’s “Guys Choice Awards” on Saturday night, the man whose real-life boxing skills were on display in “The Fighter” acknowledged that the English comedian has a reputation for being unpredictable. “I hope he does a good job,” Wahlberg cautioned. “I hope he doesn’t say nothin’ smart about me, because he’s going to ‘unpredictably’ get his ass whooped.” Wahlberg wore a sly grin as he delivered his beat-down promise, detailing further what might happen should Brand say something too biting from the Gibson Amphitheatre stage tonight (June 3): “I would put the worst insult of all time on him, for sure. And it’s an easy thing to do, given his look.” The tongue-in-cheek rant was delivered to MTV News’ own Josh Horowitz, who has been comically menaced by Wahlberg on several occasions. The pair have continued their playful banter on red carpets and at events ever since that infamous episode of “The Knife Show,” which went viral. The 40-year-old actor/producer will be one of the presenters at the Movie Awards Sunday night, which will put him in close proximity to his possible target. “No, no, he’s a funny guy,” Wahlberg said, letting up for a second. Then the taunts resumed: “But, you know, listen: f— around, lay around — you know me.” An obscenities-laden rant that bobbed and weaved in and out of an English accent followed. “Listen, I love ya, baby, but this ain’t the mother—— to be f—ing with. This ain’t the U.K., baby. This is where you get the ole’ smack,” he said. After the last two Golden Globes awards shows, at least one other British comedian developed a certain reputation for “roast”-style performances while hosting. “I hope [Brand] is a proper U.K. comic like Ricky Gervais and Steve Coogan,” Wahlberg said, still mining his convincing British accent. Wahlberg, of course, was playing all of it for laughs, frequently cracking a smile, but he did issue a further warning to Brand: stay away from the cast of his upcoming movie, “Ted.” Mila Kunis, Seth McFarlane, and for some reason, the star of “Mad Men” (who isn’t in “Ted”) are off limits. “Listen, I’m telling you, if he f—s with me, I’m the wrong dude to f— with. And don’t f— with my people, either! Don’t say sh– about Mila, don’t say sh– about Seth. And don’t say sh– about Jon Hamm. I don’t know him, but, I’m putting him under my wing.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to cast your vote for Best Hero and Best Movie now! Military Moms Breastfeeding in Uniform: National Pride or Over the Line?

National pride? Disgrace? Somewhere in the middle? A photo of two servicewomen breastfeeding their children while in uniform has gone viral and added a new layer to the ongoing debate over nursing in public. It’s probably safe to say the Time Magazine breastfeeding cover went over quite well with Mom2Mom, a breastfeeding support group for military mothers. In a series of tasteful professional photos showing beaming moms nursing kids, one jumps out for obvious reasons: the photo of two servicewomen below … “A lot of people are saying it’s a disgrace to the uniform. They’re comparing it to urinating and defecating [while in uniform],” says Crystal Scott, a military spouse living at Fairchild AFB outside Spokane, Wash., who started Mom2Mom in January. “It’s extremely upsetting. Defecating in public is illegal. Breastfeeding is not.” It was Scott’s idea to ask photographer Brynja Sigurdardottir to take the photos and create posters for National Breastfeeding Awareness Month in August. One of the moms photographed in uniform, Terran Echegoyen-McCabe, breastfeeds her 10-month-old twin girls on her lunch breaks during drill weekends. “I have breast-fed in our lobby, in my car, in the park … and I pump, usually in the locker room,” says the proud member of the Air National Guard.” “I’m proud to be wearing a uniform while breastfeeding. I hope [the photo] encourages other women to know they can, whether they’re active duty, guard or civilian.” She said she’s surprised by the reaction to the photos, which also feature her friend Christina Luna, because it never occurred to her it would cause a stir. “There isn’t a policy saying we can or cannot breastfeed in uniform,” Echegoyen-McCabe says. “I think we do need to be able to breastfeed in uniform and be protected.” What do you think? Should they be allowed to?

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher NOT Reuniting, Source Claims

So much for Dashton 2.0. Following chatter that Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher might reunite as a couple – because the latter made a passionate speech and the two shared an embrace at a recent birthday party – an insider tells People that the stars are simply friends. Without benefits. “The family is in a pretty good place right now, but Ashton and Demi won’t go back to being what they were,” this source tells the magazine. “Ashton will always be a part of their lives, especially with regard to the girls and how close he is with them.” Might we see the former couple interact again in public? Or hear stories about them getting along in private? Sure, this mole confirms. But that’s simply because Kutcher “will always support” his ex. Nothing more should be read into the relationship. “[It] has evolved and will continue to,” the friend says, but: “There are just too many issues to go back. It’s about figuring out how to move forward into a new place.” Ideally, a place that doesn’t involve Kutcher being racist .
