The institution is Houston’s oldest law school. Starling— who is working towards completing her final year in law school—has a lot of experience in both the business and law sectors. Throughout her journey, she’s balanced working full-time for a federal agency, pursuing her educational goals, and motherhood. In her new role, she hopes to bring diverse narratives within the legal community to the forefront. “Our school has a rich and impressive history; our alumni are Texas Supreme Court justices, judges, U.S. and district attorneys, and presidents of state and local bar associations, to name a few,” she said in a statement. “Our Law Review should reflect that same culture; it should be a leading resource for the legal community. It is not enough to be on Law Review — we have to increase our presence and open doors for all the law students who follow our stead as the esteemed South Texas Law Review.” Starling is fully aware of the responsibility that comes with being the first Black editor-in-chief and does not take her appointment lightly. She says she wants to do her best to open doors for others who look like her to follow in her footsteps. STCL faculty members believe that her appointment is a major step towards fostering diversity. Black women are stepping into leadership positions at prestigious colleges and universities. In November 2018, Kristine E. Guillaume was appointed to lead the Harvard Crimson ; making her the first African American woman to become president of the paper since it launched in 1873. Beth Chapman has, once again, been hospitalized for issues related to her cancer. And unfortunately, things aren’t looking so great at this exact moment. Beth, wife of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, was first diagnosed with throat cancer in September of 2017. Doctors classified the cancer as stage two, but just a couple of months after the initial diagnosis, the couple made the statement that the cancer had been completely removed. But, as we all know, cancer is the absolute worst, and last year, it came back. Things seemed to be more serious this time around — in November, she underwent emergency surgery to take care of a blockage in her throat that was obstructing her airway. Duane said at the time that she was “not doing good,” and that doctors feared the cancer had spread from her throat. They later confirmed that the fears were correct, and that the cancer had spread to her lungs. She pulled through that surgery, but she was hospitalized again in April after she experienced some difficulty breathing. Throughout everything, she’s been extremely active on social media , and she’s honestly been an inspiration. She’s been so strong, and she’s shown so much love to Duane, who she says has been there with her every step of the way And although her prognosis isn’t good, she’s chosen to spend whatever time she may have left with her family instead of in hospitals or in hospice. She’s even been working on Dog’s Most Wanted , a new show that touches a bit on Beth’s battle while still, of course, focusing on Dog’s work as a bounty hunter. Sadly though, her work came to a halt yesterday when she was admitted to the ICU at a hospital in Honolulu. At this point, we don’t know too many details about what exactly brought her to the hospital, but her family gave a brief statement to local news site Hawaii News Now. In the statement, they revealed that Beth had been placed in a medically-induced coma, and that they “humbly ask everyone to please pray for Beth.” Additionally, they offered their “sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers throughout Beth’s battle with cancer.” Last night, Duane shared a similar message on Twitter, writing to his followers “Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you.” View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Beat Cancer When People reached out to their rep for an additional statement, they were told simply that “It’s quite serious.” Here’s hoping that Beth manages to pull through this, and that Duane and the rest of their family are getting plenty of support during this difficult time.

Source: Apega/WENN.com / WENN A Man Tried To Steal Halle Berry’s House Using A Fake Deed Halle Berry was really close to returning to her Hollywood home to find the locks changed and a strange man living inside. According to TMZ , law enforcement sources say that 59-year-old Ronald Eugene Griffin first showed up at the Los Angeles property owned by the actress back in January and allegedly fiddled with the locks, but took off when he was approached by her gardener. A couple months later, in March, cops received a trespassing call from workers at Berry’s home, who said Griffin was there with a locksmith trying to get in, also claiming that he was the new owner of the home and had the deed to prove it. Not only did Griffin try to make his way into the house, he reportedly already managed to have one of the locks changed, and even made a call to the police when he was confronted by the employees at the house. When police arrived, Griffin maintained that he was the owner of the house, but LAPD detectives quickly determined that he had fraudulently changed the title of the residence. Halle told the detectives she had no idea who he was and most definitely did not give him permission to be at her home. Griffin was later arrested and hit with a felony count of procuring and offering a false warranty deed and an additional count of petty theft. His bond’s set at $36k. TMZ also reported that Griffin apparently didn’t even know the house he was trying to steal was Halle Berry’s place–it was just a coincidence. As for Halle, this isn’t the first time she’s had major issues with intruders. Back in 2011, she came home, walked in the kitchen and told cops, “As I opened my glass kitchen door and closed it behind me, all of a sudden I sensed someone behind me and turned to see the intruder standing less than a foot behind me, staring through my glass kitchen door.” That guy also ended up being arrested.
Dora Madison Burge is not famous, but apparently she’s on TV, on a show called Chicago Fire, that is not to be confused with Chicago PD, or Chicago Medics, or any of the other Chicago based emergency worker shows that I guess are some kind of franchise that people are into watching…because people are morons and need simplistic concepts in OBAMA’s city, a crime filled city….to keep the storylines simplistic and easy to understand in this retard world…. She’s better known for being a girl on instagram who fucking loves flashing her tits, for whatever reason, a reason I assume is the American dream to all of us into tits…and I guess for her because if this was an Arab country and she was flashing tit like a floozie she’d be stoned to death… I don’t think there’s a point to the nipple flash other than her getting fucking WET and EXCITED…that tingle in her cunt knowing people are into it.
