Future dropped a new EP overnight called Save Me and while the internet was expecting more codeine-laced turn up, he instead gave us a bunch of songs that alternate between sad cries for help and that good old toxic misogyny we’ve grown to know and love from him. However, one song in particular has caught everyone’s attention. It’s a song called “Shotgun” which sounds eerily similar to the beat from Ciara’s “Promise.” Ok but anyone else notice shotgun by future got a similar beat to promise by Ciara ? Of all the professional sports, the NBA has the most collegial atmosphere, and Canadians consider skipping the line at Tim Hortons without uttering a sheepish “suri” to be about the rudest behavior imaginable. So surely, an NBA Finals series between the Toronto Raptors and the famously woke Golden State Warriors would be just about the most sportsmanlike contest in league history, right? Ha! Yeah, that hasn’t exactly been the case … Whether it’s Drake calling Draymond Green “trash” or the Warriors counter-trolling the 6’s most famous resident by playing Pusha T diss tracks during team warmups, the rivalry between these teams has been as unexpectedly intense as the series’ first three games. Last night, the Warriors top brass got involved when one of the team’s minority owners violently shoved Kyle Lowry after the Raptors forward chased a ball into the stands. But that drama couldn’t compare to the intense standoff between Beyonce and Nicole Curran, wife of the team’s minority owner, Joe Lacob: Members of Bey’s famously loyal fan base absolutely lost their minds at the sight of the singer glaring off into the distance as Curran attempted to monopolize Jay Z’s attention. Toward the end of the conversation, the situation escalated even further when Beyonce (allegedly) gave Curran the slightest of shoves in response to an invasion of personal space. Like the Lowry push (so much shoving last night!) it all happened in the blink of an eye, and you may have missed it while watching the game live. On Instagram, Curran was quick to respond, posting a photo of herself sitting with Jay and Bey and captioning the post: “We should all help and support each other.” Clearly, the plea for sympathy was ineffective, as Nicole disabled comments and then deleted the post entirely. Her other posts are now being flooded by the Hive’s signature bee emojis, and the message is abundantly clear — don’t mess with the queen or you might get stung.

He is here to walk in his purpose and be of service, which means creating music that uplifts and guides his listeners. He is a conduit and remains so by staying connected to God. The minister of music is promoting his latest album Long Live Love that features the debut single OK. Franklin’s love for God developed a young age and because of that, it is deeply rooted in gospel grounds. ‘If you only make Jesus, this spare tire, this Sunday buffet and you only make him a Christmas holiday, your roots never go to go deep,” Franklin says confidently in a candid chat. “And when they don’t go deep, you go to college, you forget. You get older, you forget. You go through these seasons of life where it just wears off because the roots never went deep.” Even when he faced trials and tribulations, he’d seek his savior to correct his mistakes and work on his flaws. He attributes his sincere love to the fact he didn’t have a father growing up and how the Father became his “dad.” “I felt the need to have that Him and I couldn’t find it in my community, I couldn’t find it at church. So it was kind of there in my spiritual walk and my faith walk. And so that has kept me where my appetite is just as hungry now as it was when I was 15.” The power of the word and sounds of gospel are the ultimate healing tools. Though his music has revolutionized the gospel genre, he humbly reframes from taking the credit for it. “I was raised around people that do what I do every day. So what I did was not unique for me.” Franklin, however, credits his ability as a songwriter as the gift from God that helped him shift the culture. “In gospel music, there are many people who do what I do. I really think that it was to get the songwriting, they kind of made it do this.” The 12-time Grammy award winning artist is simply “speaking what was put inside of him.” That voice inside him speaks to his purpose in life. Franklin believes anyone can find their purpose, but being a part-time Christian won’t guide you there. “We give God a big hug and kiss for the gift and they close the door and say, I got it from here. In finding Christ, I find the purpose of my life, I am able to unlock all of the doors of my spirit and the doors of my God given reason for breathing. And it’s already there. But if I’m a booty call Christian, if I’m a spare tire Christian, the jump-off Jesus dude, I’m never going to be able to tap into bikes that are already made for me, I’m going to be spend the rest of my life, putting together pieces.” Putting the pieces together can ultimately lead to healing by the grace of God and Franklin believes in giving people that space and time to heal. When asked about his friend and collaborator Kanye West’s “Sunday Service,” Franklin thinks adding merchandise to the experience was a “mistep.” But thinks we should let people heal. “I think the merchandise thing, I’m split on if that was him or his team, because you can have people around you that don’t always share the same heartbeat on how deep something is for you. What I see in Kanye and in my conversation with Kanye, this is part of his healing. This is part of the medicine. This is part of his strategy. Let the man heal. The T-Shirts and different things are what they are. But the fact that this music has the power to heal people’s soul. That’s exactly what it is. Yeah. There have been many gloriously bitter celebrity feuds over the years, but few have captured the public’s imagination quite like the longstanding beef between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Katy and Taylor’s war was a cold one waged with subtle invective and veiled insults. Despite the mostly passive nature of the aggression, there was never any doubt about the singers’ animosity toward one another. Some say Katy and Taylor feuded over backup dancers . Others say the rivalry had to do with the fact that both women dated John Mayer (at different times). We may never know for sure, but whatever the cause, the bad blood was so intense that years after their initial spat, these two are still not on speaking terms. So you can imagine our surprise this week when Robert Pattinson was spotted hanging out with Taylor. Perry and Pattinson dated briefly and they’ve remained close friends in the years since their fling came to an end. These days, Katy is engaged to Orlando Bloom and Taylor is dating Joe Alwyn, so there’s no risk of this turning into another Mayer situation. But still, fans were caught off-guard by reports that R-Pattz and girlfriend Suki Waterhouse were spotted on a double date with Taylor and Joe. Many expected that this development would reignite the dormant beef between Katy and Taylor, but remarkably, it seems Perry is taking a Zen-like approach to the news. “Katy is cool if Rob happens to go out with Taylor in social settings and [feels that] it’s none of her business,” a source close to the situation tells Hollywood Life . “She and Rob have been friends forever and she isn’t going to make something out of nothing.” Yes, it seems we’re dealing with a more mature Katy these days. In fact, the insider says that while Katy won’t be burying the hatchet with Taylor anytime soon, she no longer harbors an intense, burning hatred for her fellow pop icon: “Katy’s issues with Taylor have tempered anyways and Katy is actually looking to the future and not the past with that feud,” says the insider. “She has no ill will toward Rob for the dinner date, and she won’t if he does it again.” It’s a far cry from the days when Karlie Kloss hung out with Perry and got cut off by Swift as a result.
