Rihanna: Nude GQ Cover Girl!

We know you’re going to be totally surprised by this, but Rihanna is showing off her hot, nude body on the cover of GQ‘s December 2012 issue. Somewhere, T-Boz is slamming her again. The 24-year-old singer wrote on her Instagram, along with the cover: “GQ’s man of the year?! When will your fave? #histoRih #GQ.” We have one guess who her man of the year is. She says she is not together with Chris Brown , but that doesn’t mean they’re not making music together. Literally and otherwise. They recently recorded a song for her new album Unapologetic called “Nobodies Business,” and it’s generating some major buzz. And let’s face it, they are 100 percent, unapologetically slapping bodies. As for the above cover, it’s par for the course for this oft-naked celebrity. ‘Side Effects’ Trailer: Steven Soderbergh Inches Toward Retirement With Pharmaceutical Thriller

Folks like Steven Soderbergh know it can be a long, long road to retirement. But there are still (at least) two titles to come, including Side Effects . With this year’s box office lauded strip down Magic Mike as well as his other 2013 shoot Behind the Candelabra on the make, his segue out from the director’s chair may linger a year or two. There are promo obligations post-post production after all… And retirement is proving to be good business, anyway. After cashing in with $130 million for this year’s The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel , a second one is in the offing . Maybe after Soderbergh is finished with these, he can really embrace the retirement thing with a Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 3 ? Starring Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jude Law (many of whom are Soderbergh-vets), Side Effects revolves around a young woman who relies on prescription drugs to deal with anxiety as her husband heads home from prison. As might be expected, there’s also more going on as the trailer suggests, with the pulse of anxiety hitting a crescendo. The film is due out February 8th. Thoughts, Movieliners? Should Soderbergh cancel his retirement plans?

Selena Gomez Named Glamour’s Woman of the Year

Selena Gomez has received quite the honor from Glamour . In its December issue, the magazine names this teenage singer its Woman of the Year! “Woman of the Year – I didn’t even know I was a woman!” Gomez tells the publication in response. “I’m very honored… and it’s a very, very big deal to me. I’m going to hold it close to my heart.” Gomez was recognized by Glamour partly for her career, but also because she is the youngest UNICEF ambassador of all-time. She is also part of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which creates programs for pediatric hospitals for severely injured kids. Says Taylor Swift of her pal: “She’s giving back to people who need help, because of her own life experience. She’s the exception to so many rules.” But of course no article about Selena could be written without mentioning Justin Bieber . Does she understand some of the negative reaction from his fans? Absolutely. “I adore his fans. I would never, ever want to disrespect them,” Gomez says. “You know, I get it: I was obsessed with Jesse McCartney growing up! He was my world. My high school crush. So I respect it, and if anything, I admire it.”
