NY Jets Braylon Edwards And Mark “Nose-Pickin” Sanchez Got It Poppin After Steelers Loss

These fools need to start figuring out what the f*ck they gonna do next season vs. poppin bottles and ish: Despite Sunday’s crushing defeat by the Steelers, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and wide receiver Braylon Edwards partied until early Monday at a New York club where they spent more than $2,500. While Jets fans mourned, Sanchez drowned his sorrows by knocking back shots and chatting up the pretty bartender at Chelsea’s Juliet Supper Club after arriving at 3 a.m., while Edwards ordered Champagne and tequila shots for his table. Even though he’s a free agent and may not be brought back, Edwards was bullish about the team. He went to the deejay booth, grabbed the microphone and told the crowd, which included actor Greg Bello, Knicks star Roger Mason and model Tyson Beckford: “The Jets will be back next season and will go all the way to the Super Bowl.” After flying back with the team from Pittsburgh, Edwards arrived at Juliet at 2:30 a.m. with six others. He took a table and immediately ordered a round of tequila shots and an $1,100 bottle of Ace of Spades Champagne. Sanchez turned up with a male friend, headed straight to the bar and knocked back a shot with the attractive brunette bartender. He didn’t know Edwards was already there, but was led to his table by staff, say witnesses. But a spy said, “Mark sat with Braylon for a short while, but soon enough he was back at the bar flirting with the bartender, a gorgeous South American girl, busty with long, dark reddish hair. They were doing shots together and he kept whispering in her ear and holding her hand. He looked pretty enamored, and was at the bar until closing time. He went home alone but phone numbers were exchanged. Edwards’ bill came to around $2,500.” The players closed down the club at 4:30 a.m. Edwards, who was charged with DUI last September, left in a chauffeur-driven Escalade. One source said, “The club got all the players drivers after that incident. They were taking no chances.” A rep for the Jets didn’t get back to us. Well at least Braylon was smart enough to have a “chauffeur-driven”‘ Escalade this time … Source

Amber Rose & Kim K Diss Video “Wack & Yellow”: Kanye Sported That Groupie Amber Like Drawers… He Didn’t Know [Video]

Xavier Pryce’s song itself is not all that, but the message and his interview?: How did you come up with the song’s concept? “I kept on hearing news about these chicks and I was wondering why. I didn’t get it. I was wondering what accomplishments these no-talent chicks had other than being able to suck a grapefruit through a straw and look pretty. Then I see these dudes that’s established making themselves look like tricks that are bent on hiring hoes just to convince them they should be wives. “I heard ‘Black & Yellow’ on the radio and I just started playing around with the words after I had seen some sh*t on TV with Amber Rose telling somebody to open her door like she was worth something. I just fell out laughing and started repeating wack and yellow, wack and yellow. A n*gga like me, as soon as I say something I feel is catchy, I immediately go to the board and record.” One of the lines is “you’re turning groupies into stars.” Who’s that directed to? “Mainly Kanye [West]. He was sportin’ his groupie like drawers. I got nothing against Kanye. He probably was unaware the whole time ’cause these hoes are professionals. She sucked the life out that n*gga and used the juice to put herself on. I ain’t even mad at Amber. The bitch obviously has game, but I can see that bitch coked out and doing porn by late 2011. She’s going from the top down in her gold-digging selection; she should’ve been f*cking rock stars and senators after ‘Ye.” We’re starting to notice you’re not really a huge fan of females in general, are you? “Ha! I love women—I just hate bitches. It ain’t that I’m not a fan, I just call sh*t as I see it. We been dogs and whatever else ya’ll wanted to call us since women picked up the mic. I never talk about women in my songs; I think women are the most beautiful things on the planet. It’s these vile, despicable bitches that use their insecurity as a weapon against men who don’t have enough game to defend themselves from malicious attacks on male common sense and their bank accounts.” Source

Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’ Tops Billboard Digital Songs Chart

Single debuts at #1 and breaks Taylor Swift’s previous sales record. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” Photo: Jive Don’t hold it against her, but Britney Spears has a hit on her hands. Her new track, “Hold It Against Me,” which was released last week, topped the Billboard Digital Songs chart . The Dr.Luke/ Max Martin-produced song, the lead single from the singer’s yet-untitled March album, sold 411,000 downloads in its first week available for purchase. The debut also means that Spears broke a record. According to Billboard, that is Spears’ best sales week for a digital song as well as largest debut for a woman as a lead artist. She beat out the record previously held by Taylor Swift . In February, Swift’s “Today Was a Fairytale” sold 325,000 downloads; incidentally, Swift broke the record previously held by Spears when that track debuted at the top of the charts. Spears bumps Bruno Mars’ “Grenade” to #2; Wiz Khalifa moved up the chart to #3 with “Black and Yellow,” followed by Katy Perry’s “Firework,” which dropped two spots to #4. Other newcomers to the chart include Avril Lavigne’s “What the Hell” at #6 and Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaboration, “H.A.M.,” at #10. Enrique Iglesias’ “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” (#5), the Black Eyed Peas’ “The Time (Dirty Bit)” (#7), Lil Wayne’s “6 Foot 7 Foot” (#8) and Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R” (#9) round out the top 10. Spears is also the top seller on iTunes. Last week, when the song was released, Spears immediately jumped to the top of the iTunes charts in 16 countries . “This is absolutely incredible!” her manager Adam Leber tweeted last week’s about the song’s success. “Brit’s fans never cease to amaze me.” Are you feeling “Hold It Against Me”? Cake, Cage The Elephant Take Top Spots On Billboard

Cake debut at #1, but with lowest sales in SoundScan era. By Gil Kaufman Cake’s John McCrea Photo: Noel Vasquez/ Getty Images Droll Sacramento, California, rockers Cake might never again have the chance to snatch away one of the umpteen records held by platinum darling Taylor Swift . But next week, the group can say they bested Swift, even if it is, in this case, a somewhat dubious distinction. The good news is that Cake’s Showroom of Compassion marks the band’s first #1 debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart and their first album to chart in the top 10. The bad news is that their total sales of 44,000 also mark the poorest-selling #1 debut figures for a new album in the modern SoundScan era. (Swift had set the new standard last week, when her Speak Now moved just 52,000 copies .) Another indie band took advantage of the slow new-release traffic to notch a career high. According to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan, Cage the Elephant’s Thank You, Happy Birthday will come in at #2 on sales of 39,000, an impressive feat for the hard-touring band’s second major-label album. The only other new face in the top 10 is country act Steel Magnolia , whose self-titled effort lands at #7 (28,000). The rest of the top 10: Swift, Speak Now (#3, 35,000), Bruno Mars , Doo-Wops & Hooligans (#4, 32,000), Nicki Minaj , Pink Friday (#5, 32,000), the “Country Strong” soundtrack (#6, 29,000), Rihanna , Loud (#8, 28,000), Mumford & Sons , Sigh No More (#9, 26,000) and Kanye West , My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (#10, 25,000). Otherwise, it’s mostly single- and double-digit dips for the majority of the albums in the top 50, with just a few exceptions, including Cage the Elephant, whose self-titled debut surges back onto the charts at #59 as sales spiked by 113 percent to more than nearly 7,000. Over on the iTunes singles chart, Britney Spears sprints to the top with “Hold It Against Me,” which pushes Mars’ “Grenade” down to #2, followed by Enrique Iglesias ‘ randy “Tonight,” Katy Perry ‘s “Firework,” Wiz Khalifa ‘s “Black and Yellow,” Avril Lavigne ‘s “What the Hell,” the Black Eyed Peas ‘ “The Time (Dirty Bit),” Ke$ha ‘s “We R Who We R,” Lil Wayne ‘s “6 Foot 7 Foot” and Kanye West and Jay Z ‘s “H.A.M.” Gwyneth Paltrow’s well-received “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig surely helped the second collection of “Country Strong” songs hit #1 on the iTunes albums chart (the company does not release specific sales data). Right behind are Mumford & Sons, Cage the Elephant, the first “Country Strong” disc, Cake, the Black Keys ‘ Brothers , Christian act Lecrae ‘s Rehab: The Overdose, Kanye West, Daft Punk ‘s “Tron: Legacy” soundtrack and Mars’ debut album. It should be another modest week next time around, with new releases from the Decemberists , the Script , James Blunt and Social Distortion , as well as the latest Kidz Bop collection. Wiz Khalifa Aims To Be ‘The Best Artist Of The Year’

With a breakout 2010 and his debut album yet to drop, the MC is one of MTV News’ 11 for ’11. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Matt Elias Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News Last year, Wiz Khalifa bested his peers to be named MTV News’ Hottest Breakthrough MC , and to kick off 2011, the “Black and Yellow” lyricist has earned a nod as one of our 11 in ’11 stars to watch. “It’s great,” the Pittsburgh MC told MTV News about the honor. “I got a lot of work to do. I’ve done a lot of work to get where I’m at, but I have to keep working. And, hopefully, I’ll be the best artist of the year.” The upstart artist began his ascent years ago in the underground with a series of mixtapes and independent projects, most notably the Rostrum Records release Show and Prove and last year’s breakout Kush and Orange Juice. The lanky 23-year-old’s breezy sound and green-friendly rhymes inspired a slew of followers, which he dubbed the Taylor Gang for their dedication to the old-school Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers and their laid-back attitude. That cult following helped Wiz soar past Jay-Z prot

Wiz Khalifa Praises ‘Black And Yellow’ Producers

‘They know how to make hits, man,’ Wiz says of Sweden’s Stargate production team. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Matt Elias Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News With “Black and Yellow,” Wiz Khalifa went from heralded underground artist to one of the biggest new stars in hip-hop. The Pittsburgh upstart’s hometown anthem was powered by the synth-heavy sounds of pop production team Stargate, best known for their work with Ne-Yo, Beyonce and Chris Brown. Wiz’s woozy vocals and the melodic “Black and Yellow” musical slate proved to be a winning combination. “It was just a good mixture,” Wiz told MTV News about working with the Swedish producers. “When we got in the studio, I think the first day in the studio with them I did two songs and a hook. They kept throwing me beats and I kept knocking out hooks and verses over them. So I think just the vibe was there. The music that we were making is real potent. It was like, ‘We got to do it [and collaborate].’ ” The rapper made his name with a series of mixtapes and independent albums, including Show and Prove and his breakout, Kush and Orange Juice . His frenzied fan base, which have been dubbed The Taylor Gang, have been on board with the lanky artist for years now. Recently, though, his latest material — with a little help from Stargate — has seen Wiz in some high-profile company. Snoop Dogg, T-Pain and Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J shared the mic with Wiz on the “Black and Yellow” remix . “They know how to make hits, man,” he said of the Stargate team. “They know how to put a song together. So I learned to do my part and let them do their part. And that’s when it goes crazy. ‘Cause I do a lot of different things when I record my music. And they go back and we narrow it down. And that’s how those big songs come out.” How do you like Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” remix? Tell us your opinion in the comments. Related Artists Wiz Khalifa

Snoop Dogg Talks Wiz Khalifa Collabo Movie ‘High School’

Cali veteran says straight-to-DVD project will hit shelves April 20. By Mawuse Ziegbe Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa are taking their pot-powered friendship to the big screen. The Cali spitter recently revealed details of the upcoming movie, which drops in April on a very appropriate date for two herbal enthusiasts. “[I’m] working on something with my nephew, Wiz Khalifa. We working on a movie called ‘High School,’ which will be out 4/20/2011, straight to DVD, ya dig?” Snoop told Hip Hop Nation’s DJ Skee . A movie following the adventures of Wiz and Snoop nearly ensures a dope soundtrack will accompany the flick, and the duo dropped the project’s first offering, “That Good,” on Tuesday. “[I’m] just trying to spread my wings and fly a little bit,” Snoop explained of teaming up with Wiz for the cinematic venture. “Do a little something for the old school, the new school, the true school. You know, just try to stay true to who I am and just make that good sh–. You know what I’m good for.” Snoop, who has been on Team Taylor for a while, also added that he was proud to see the Pittsburgh MC break out as a rising rap force to be reckoned with. “It’s beautiful to see him gradually grow from somebody that’s hustling to the whole world starting to pay attention and respect him for who he is. To see him get that attention and that respect and that world renown that he deserves is a beautiful thing,” he beamed. “Now he just gotta stick to the script and keep making hot sh– and, you know, stay on course.” Snoop also commented on the laid-back lyricists’ many similarities — from their beanpole frames to their botanical extracurricular activities — and explained that the movie idea sprung from teaming up on projects like Wiz’s “Black and Yellow” remix . He added that joining forces was not just good for the MCs, but a good look for the rap game in general. “We decided to go ahead and say, ‘You know what? Let’s do a movie and a soundtrack and just become, you know, bosom buddies and do what we do ’cause we love what we do and we love each other and at the same time we know what the people want,’ ” he said. “The people want to see the two generations come together where hip-hop ain’t about old school and new school. It’s just about good music and making good moves and putting something out there that’s classic where people can respect it and say, ‘Yeah, so now, this was some gangsta sh– that really made hip-hop gradually grow to another level.’ ” Are you looking forward to checking out the duo’s new movie? Wiz Khalifa Taps Snoop Dogg For New ‘Black and Yellow’ Remix

The official ‘G-mix’ to the upstart MC’s breakout track also features Juicy J, T-Pain. By Jayson Rodriguez Wiz Khalifa Photo: Rostrum Records Roll down the windows — Wiz Khalifa has recruited Snoop Dogg, along with Juicy J and T-Pain, for the official “G-mix” remix to his breakout hit, “Black & Yellow.” The two smokers trade Willie Nelson-approved lines on the blue collar number. “Big Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa,” the Left Coast veteran raps. “See on the West Coast I’m the Big Chief-a.” Meanwhile, the “Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010” more than holds his own on the cloudy tune. “Black and yellow, ahh, black and yellow/ See me now they treating me like I’m somebody special,” Wiz spits. “Smoking on that good, know it’s me soon as they smell it/ You can chill I’m the one who get it, not the one who sell it/ I grind every day, I’m balling, I can’t help it/ N—-s on that bullsh–, my pockets full of Celtics.” In the latest issue of “The Source,” which named Wiz its Rookie of the Year, he told the magazine that he’d like to relocate to Los Angeles soon so he can smoke in peace. Last month, the rapper was arrested in North Carolina on drug charges after authorities found marijuana on his tour bus. Wiz remained level-headed throughout the ordeal, however, saying he needed to pay better attention to his surroundings as he becomes more successful. “They want to try to scare you or make an example out of you before you get too far into what you’re doing,” Wiz told MTV News shortly after the incident. “When I started doing what I was doing [in the music industry], I was ready for it. Just being from where I’m from, I was already a target on a small scale. But as I build up and become more nationally known, that scale just gets larger.” What do you think of Wiz’s “Black and Yellow” remix?
