In case you guys missed it, it’s Halloween today. So, there, now you know why that one weird dude at your office is dressed like a vampire. Anyway, it’s always been one of my favorite holidays, so here’s one of my favorite hot nobodies celebrating it. I’m not quite sure why Ariel Winter decided to go as a sexy skeleton one night, considering it just makes me think about how much meat she’s got on those bones, but I’m digging her other costumes: chubby Milla Jovovich and hot girl in devil horns and booty shorts . Classic!
I’m surprised I haven’t yet done a post on Australian hip hop recording artist Iggy Azalea , because as you can see girl is pretty cute and has a serious big booty. Also her video “Work” has the best lap dance scene in a music video ever. Anyway, make sure to check it out but be warned, if you’re at your office, you’ll have an extremely hard time standing up afterwards. Enjoy.
What’s daring about The Myth of the American Sleepover , a modest, untroubled elegy for the passages of middle-American youth, is as straightforward as it is uncommon. Working within a well-worn format — the hometown coming-of-age drama — the effect of feature-debut writer and director David Robert Mitchell’s intensely personal attention to tone and the flow of emotional currents is one of negative exposure, a setting of the genre into a stark and original relief. Conspicuous among his choices was to set and shoot the film in his native suburban Michigan and give it a largely local, unknown cast, several with twanging accents intact. The girls are built as girls that age tend to be — with variety, but tending toward awkwardness — and the boys are as small and reedy as we rarely remember them to be. In other words, it looks more like your teenage world than such films generally allow, and it’s not pretty. It’s beautiful.
How did Catfish directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost decide to follow-up their controversial true-life (“true-life”) documentary? By making a “found footage” horror movie, of course! (The moral: stick with what you know.) The pair return to theaters this November with Paranormal Activity 3 , a prequel to the stories told in the first two films, but one that looks no less terrifying. (The moral: stick with what you know.) Click through to be jump-scared out of your office chair.
STYLE BUZZ : Got any photos of you or someone in your office wearing a Halloween costume? Post some pictures here. We need to see them! It'll be like a drunken* virtual costume party.
Ungaro let Lindsay Lohan play Artistic Director for their latest collection, and—surprise!—it didn't go so well. We're talking pasties-level bad (so somewhat NSFW, if your office is not down with pasties).
