Halle Berry Marries Olivier Martinez!

Wedding bells have officially rang for Halle Berry once again. The Oscar winner exchanged vows for the third time in her life this week, saying she most definitely does take actor Olivier Martinez for her husband. According to photos that hit the Web today, Berry and her beau tied the knot at the Chateau des Conde in Vallery, France. The estate has a church on its grounds and the reception appears to have taken place inside a white tent. Berry announced in April that she’s expecting a baby (at age 46!), with Martinez later confirming it would be a boy. We send nothing but our best wishes to the newlyweds!

George Zimmerman Verdict: NOT GUILTY of Murder, Manslaughter in Trayvon Martin Case

Following a weeks-long trial and a case that has captivated the nation for a year and a half, a Sanford, Fla., jury has reached a verdict in the George Zimmerman case: Not guilty of murder or manslaughter. They reached a verdict after deliberating all day Saturday. Late in the evening, jurors asked for clarification on the instructions regarding manslaughter. At about 6 p.m., lawyers for both sides appeared in court where Judge Debra Nelson conferred with them about their question and then recessed court. Just before 10 p.m., they reached a verdict and acquitted Zimmerman of all charges in the controversial case – one ultimately filled with reasonable doubt. A conviction would mean jurors rejected Zimmerman’s claim he killed in self defense, and “intentionally committed an act or acts that caused the death” of Martin. Ultimately, they felt he was justified under the letter of the law. Whether those laws are flawed is a different topic altogether, but after 16 hours of deliberations, jurors decided that the state’s case was not strong enough. Unable to establish what happened in the confrontation that left Martin dead, prosecutors could not prove murder or manslaughter beyond a reasonable doubt. What do you think? Did the jury get it right? Yes. The jury got it right. No. They blew it. View Poll »

Fair And Balanced Bullisht: Shady Fox News Article Says Trayvon Martin’s Testimony “Wouldn’t Have Changed Anything” In The Case

The Faux News foolery knows no boundaries…. Fox News Columnist Says Trayvon Martin’s Testimony Wouldn’t Change Anything These fools over at Faux News just never quit. In their latest round of “WTF?” commentary, a Fox News columnist recently wrote an op-ed piece on why he thinks that he even if Trayvon Martin were alive to testify on his own behalf, it wouldn’t make a difference in the case. Check out few excerpts below: via Fox News In the days since 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by 28-year-old George Zimmerman, a common claim has been: “we will never know what happened between Zimmerman and Martin since the only person who knows the truth and is still alive is Zimmerman.” But this statement is not accurate. The closing arguments in Zimmerman’s case start today. And the truth is, we know a lot about what happened on that fateful night. Trayvon Martin’s testimony, could he have spoken, wouldn’t changed anything. For those who have watched the trial, ask yourself: is there even one piece of convincing evidence that Zimmerman did not act to defend himself from a threat of “imminent death or great bodily harm”? There was no convincing evidence to support the charges against Zimmerman. If both Zimmerman and Martin had both been white or if Zimmerman had been darker skinned, this case would never have gotten to court. The debate between the experts was over how severe Zimmerman’s wounds were. After examining photos of Zimmerman immediately after the attack, Jacksonville medical examiner, Valerie Rao, claimed that they were “insignificant,” that there was “a chance” that the number of blows Zimmerman suffered could range from just one to more than a half dozen. She wouldn’t say what the maximum number could be. If Martin had been alive today, what could his testimony have added to any of this?  Could he have explained away the angle of the bullet? With Zimmerman’s broken nose and lacerations on the back of his head, would it have mattered if Martin had told the court that he really hadn’t hit Zimmerman that hard? The prosecution never provided any evidence that Zimmerman continued following Martin after the 911 operator suggested that he stop doing so. Suppose Martin could testify that Zimmerman had continued to follow him, would that have mattered? No, because even if Martin had indeed been followed, it wouldn’t have justified Martin punching Zimmerman’s nose, pinning him down and repeatedly hitting him and slamming his head into the concrete. This is some of the dumbest, most delusional bullish we’ve heard to date from people trying to defend this murderer and justify his killing of an unarmed, unthreatening, 17-year-old who was minding his own business while walking home from the store until he was FORCED to defend himself. The big, bright, glaring, undisputable bottom line in this situation that the defense so conveniently continues to skip over, is that Trayvon was not harming himself, Zimmerman or anyone around him when he was approached by a strange man who was not a police officer that had been following him for an extended amount of time without just cause. So Trayvon did what ANY person, black, white, male or female would have done in the situation, which was defend himself, and he lost his life as a result. Additionally, are we the only ones confused as to how Zimmerman can even claim “self-defense” as justification for murder if HE was the aggressor? What do you think about this bogus Fox News contributor theory, Bossip fam? Continue reading

Pins & Needles: The Jury In The George Zimmerman Murder Trial May Reach A Verdict Today!

The time has come to make a decision about whether or not George Zimmerman murdered Trayvon Martin Jury May Have A Verdict In The George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin Trial Today Via OrlandoSentinel Will there be a verdict today in the George Zimmerman second-degree murder trial? No one knows how long the jury will deliberate. The panel resumed deliberaions at 9 a.m. today to decide whether Zimmerman is guilty or not not guilty of committing a crime when he shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. A verdict is possible as soon as today in the closely watched, ultra-high-profile trial. The jurors began the process on Friday at 2:30 and deliberated until 6 p.m. when they asked to break for the day. Once the jury has reached a verdict, it could be about one hour before that verdict is announced. The jury can find Zimmerman guilty of second-degree murder, guilty of manslaughter, or not guilty in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. If the jury finds Zimmerman guilty of second-degree murder, he faces a maximum of life in prison. If they find him guilty of manslaughter, he faces a maximum 30-year prison sentence. The verdict will be read in Circuit Court Judge Debra Nelson’s courtroom at the Seminole County courthouse about an hour after the jury decides. There is a lot of speculation about exactly how long the jury will deliberate, but one thing is for sure, we will be watching every minute until we get word that a verdict has been reached. George Zimmerman Trial Live Stream: Will He Testify in His Own Defense?

After two weeks of prosecution testimony in the high-profile, closely-watched trial of George Zimmerman, the defense is now going to present its case. At issue is whether Zimmerman, 29, acted in self-defense when he shot and killed unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012. Friday, the prosecution rested with testimony from Trayvon’s mother and brother, who testified that it was Martin’s voice calling for help on the 911 call. Not all of the state’s witnesses were as compelling, however. In fact, some analysts believed the police may have helped the defense instead . As the defense makes its own case, the million-dollar question is whether Zimmerman himself will take the stand, though we may not know for days. In the meantime, watch the live stream of his trial in the video below: Live Zimmerman Trial

R.I.P. Trayvon: George Zimmerman’s Mama Writes Letter Complaining Her Son Is An Innocent Man Arrested To “Placate The Masses”

GTFOHWTBS! If you believe George Zimmerman’s mom he’s just some innocent man who was defending his home. Are you buying it? Via Daily Mail : Gladys Zimmerman published an open letter today, the one year anniversary of prosecutors arresting George Zimmerman for second-degree murder. In it, she thanks supporters who helped the family when they were forced into hiding after receiving numerous death threats. She writes that Zimmerman’s June 10 trial will ‘confirm’ the truth about the February 26, 2012 shooting that left the unarmed 17-year-old Martin dead. ‘April 11 2012 will be forever remembered by the Zimmerman family as the day the justice system failed us as Americans, and as a consequence an innocent man was arrested for a crime he did not commit, solely to placate the masses,’ she said. She later adds: ‘There was absolutely no justifiable reason my son should have been charged for a crime he didn’t commit and there was no just reason he should find himself incarcerated either.’ Zimmerman’s family has long said he is a victim of media manipulation and spin. They say the evidence has been clear all along that Zimmerman acted in self defense when he shot Martin once in the chest, killing him during a struggle. Gladys Zimmerman, who worked nearly three decades as a court clerk in Virginia, has never appeared publicly to speak about her son. She told News 13 in Orlando in a phone interview that she still has faith in the justice system, despite the charges against her son. Still, she warned that her son must be judged by an impartial jury. ‘It is imperative now more than ever that George receive fair treatment by the judicial system, as this is the quintessential birthright of every American,’ she wrote. She blamed news media for spinning the story about the Martin shooting and convincing the public that her son was a murderer. ‘The media, with the help of social media made it their prerogative to judge and sentence George before and after his arrest,’ she wrote. Trayvon was unarmed and Zimmerman didn’t want to fight a fair one after chasing him around the neighborhood. What lies is this woman even talking about? AP

Family Full Of Scum: George Zimmerman’s Brother Robert Compares Trayvon Martin To Teen Who Shot Baby In The Face And Says Society Is Right To Label Black People As “Risky”

Robert Zimmerman Compares Trayvon Martin To Teen Baby Killer Younger brother of self-appointed neighborhood watchdog George Zimmerman, who shot and killed unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin a little over a year ago, is still trolling Twitter in desperate attempts to gain support for his scumbag sibling, who is finally headed to trial in a few months to face the music for his unwarranted actions. While it’s no secret that members of Zimmerman’s family and defense team will stop at nothing to paint the slain 17-year-old Martin as a street thug who left triggerman Zimmerman no other choice but the shoot him, Robert Zimmerman may have just reached ‘scum of the century’ level with his latest social media stunt. via Huffington Pos t George Zimmerman’s family has repeatedly spoken out in his defense against his portrayal as a villain in the media. But Zimmerman’s brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., has created a bit of a firestorm on Twitter with his bizarre defense on behalf of his sibling, comparing Trayvon Martin to an alleged killer. Robert Zimmerman took to the social network on Sunday, sharing a photo of De’Marquis Elkins, a teen charged with the fatal shooting of a 1-year-old in Georgia, and Trayvon Martin flipping the middle finger. As if this picture wasn’t insulting enough to the family of Trayvon, Zimmerman #2 then went on to imply that both cases are prime examples of why society finds “blacks” to be risky. After inevitably starting a conversation around the post, Zimmerman responded to a tweet, challenging the liberal media’s coverage of his brother’s case and questioning why society thinks “blacks mightB risky.” The fact of the matter is this: If Zimmerman, his defense team, his family, and anyone else riding for him really had a solid case, they wouldn’t need to vilify this young man and his memory to prove their point. Do you think Robert Zimmerman has a point in implying that the liberal media often paints a one-sided picture when it comes to young black men and how they are depicted?
