The rumors were true, and the occasion joyous. After a series of breakups and makeups, Justin Timberlake is engaged to Jessica Biel . The couple of four and a half years will soon walk down the aisle. Timberlake, a six-time Grammy winner, popped the question to the New Year’s Eve actress last month. The setting was picturesque Jackson, Wyoming. In typical fashion – the couple is notorious private and rarely even photographed together – it took weeks for news of the proposal to be confirmed. Think Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel will last? We’d bet on it . “Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place for many different reasons,” one insider explains . After a brief three-month split in 2011, Biel made it clear that she wanted to spend her life with Timberlake, who apparently felt the same way. “When they reunited, they had a conversation about taking the next step,” says the source, adding that he’s “never been happier” with Jessica. “He knew it was the right time to propose.” Congratulations to the happy couple! ‘We all raised our game, creatively,’ director Guy Ritchie tells MTV News of ‘Game of Shadows.’ By Kara Warner Robert Downey Jr. in “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” Photo: Warner Bros If you’ve caught a trailer for the upcoming “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” which hits theaters Friday, you might have noticed that there is a lot going on. Holmes ( Robert Downey Jr. ) and Watson ( Jude Law ) have carried their bromance over from the 2009 original, with Holmes having issues with Watson’s pending marriage and his wily love interest Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams). Work-wise, the curiously successful Holmes and Watson duo now have to contend with a mysterious new female character (Noomi Rapace) and a formidable and familiar future supervillain, Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris). When MTV News caught up with Downey and director Guy Ritchie, we asked them to explain what new excitement “Game of Shadows” offers that we didn’t see in the first film. “I think it’s a superior product, and I’m very tough on these sorts of things,” Downey said. “I think we return to one of the great original face-offs-with-a-supervillain stories in Arthur Conan Doyle’s lexicon, and I think that it’s a little bit more thoughtful. I think the female roles are much more central. It’s a more nicely balanced bit of entertainment.” Ritchie admitted that the success of the first film meant he had pleased audiences enough that he could make this movie for himself in a way, zeroing in on his sensibilities and what he likes in an action film. “We all raised our game, creatively. Rob and the rest of the team took it pretty seriously. We think we’re onto something here, and we don’t want to take it for granted,” Ritchie explained. “We try to give you a more sophisticated plot and more sophisticated action. Schwarzenegger, Nick Sheinberg and Kimberly Barth started the brand to generate awareness about global issues through fashion. By Kara Warner Patrick Schwarzenegger Photo: MTV News We’re always happy to see people using their power for good and striving to make the world a better place, which is why we were particularly pleased to meet Patrick Schwarzenegger, Nick Sheinberg and Kimberly Barth, the dedicated young people behind Project360 , a brand that uses fashion as a way to generate awareness for important global issues. The three “philanthropreneurs” invited MTV News to visit their headquarters in Los Angeles recently, as well as their fundraiser to benefit Best Buddies , during which they explained how Project360 was born. “Nick and I thought up the company at a women’s conference in 2008 by just creating little rubber bracelets,” Schwarzenegger, son of Arnold and Mariah Shriver, said of the organization’s beginnings. “It was really successful, and Kimberly was working at another booth and she came up and said, ‘These bracelets look great. I think we can expand from there.’ We always wanted to do something that gave back to charity. Fashion and wearing clothes is a daily routine for everybody. What better way to spread the word of giving back and philanthropic ways of life than to wear something that gives back to charity?” “The idea behind it is that it’s more than fashion, it’s a fashion statement,” Barth added. “Everything has an inspirational message that reflects the global cause that we donate to. It’s about more than clothing. It’s about style and looking cute, but it’s really about making a difference and making a global impact together.” Schwarzenegger said that while his famous family members inspired and instilled in him the values of public service, he and his co-founders started Project360 entirely on their own, with their own money, and their success has been particularly satisfying because of how much time and effort they’ve put into it. “We sit down together, we ponder a bunch of names depending on what charities we’ve picked,” Barth explained of their decision-making processes. “We go through different words, we talk about what has the most meaning to us and narrow them down, and we also want what would look best visually on a T-shirt.” The passionate, hardworking trio hopes the company can keep growing and one day be able to give back, like Toms Shoes’ one-for-one business model. “Every day, we have a new idea and new ambition, so we’ll see what happens,” Barth said. “I’m really excited about the immediate future and thrilled with how well it’s come to fruition to begin with. Another young contestant got sent home this week on The X Factor. A week after Drew Ryniewicz was reduced to tears, the same fate befell 13-year old Rachel Crow, who fell into the bottom two and then got eliminated after the judges deadlocked and the show left the final decision up to viewers. After falling into her mother’s arms following the reading of the verdict, Crow – whose Tuesday night performances you can watch HERE – composed herself and said: “I love you so much, everybody, for voting for me and thank you for giving me this because without you I am nothing.
