Don’t think of this as some side hobby. The Ethiiopian born teen has partnered with jeweler Robert Procop to release a line called Zahara Collection. Robert Procop is a designer favorite of Angelina Jolie, so I’m sure mom had something to do with this connection. In 2012, Angelina Jolie partnered with Procop on a collection titled Style of Jolie. Robert Procop is also the designer behind Angelina Jolie’s 16 carat engagement ring which Brad Pitt used to propose. She wore her self-titled jewels on the red carpet, consisting of three emerald cut pieces. She wore tear drop earrings, a bracelet, and a beautiful ring. To show off the yellow jewels she wore her braids half up, half down and chose a black satin gown. She’s growing into quite the beauty! The jewelry collection has citrine as the featured gemstone. However, it also includes white and pink quartz jewels and pink sapphire pieces. This sounds like red carpet perfection. If you think this is a money making idea, the daughter of the philanthropist is following in her mother’s footsteps. The press release revealed, “All proceeds from the Collection will benefit the Los Angeles-based House of Ruth Shelters, which provided transitional housing for battered women and children.” The Zahara Collection will be available at select Saks Fifth Avenue locations and other exclusive retailers in both the U.S. and Australia beginning in November. My days are able to continue, I’m able to get relief, I’m able to push forward and that’s what you want. You don’t want to be in a situation where you can’t even work because of a migraine. You just don’t want that.” And La La has a lot of work to do these days, especially as an actress. She’s come a long way from her days of being a radio personality and VJ to now being the star in a number of primetime shows and movies. “I always thought it was cool and could be cool to try, but not at that time,” she said of taking up acting. “But once I started taking acting classes and really getting into it and taking it seriously, then I was like, wow, this is something I really want to do and really want to try my hardest to become better at and learn. I’m still learning. It’s something that you learn every single day. I have Power , 90210 and I’m also in Chicago right now filming Lena Waithe’s show The Chi. That’s been a great experience for me.” She is joining the Showtime series at a time when those behind The Chi are trying to move forward from the allegations of sexual harassment that were brought against axed star Jason Mitchell by his former co-star Tiffany Boone. La La says despite the cloud that was cast over Lena;s project, she’s happy to be a part of Season 3 . In a surprise move, the media mogul gifted Morehouse College with a surprise $13 million donation, adding to the millions she gave to the institution 30 years ago. As reported by Morehouse’s press team , Winfrey made the donation this past Monday to bolster the Oprah Winfrey Scholarship program. In 1989, the scholarship program was born with a $12 million donation, with the program putting nearly 600 students through college since its inception. The $25 million endowment is the largest in Morehouse’s history and comes just as the school announced recent budget cuts. Of the many beneficiaries of the scholarship, Randall Woodfin, currently the mayor of Birmingham, Ala. and the youngest person to hold that role when he was elected in 2017 at 36. Tyson said in a recent podcast , “[The] first time I talked to [Kanye] the first Sunday in June, he told me, ‘I got radically saved five weeks ago.’ I said, ‘Kanye, what happened five weeks ago?’ He said, ‘I was just under the weight of my sin and I was being convicted that I was running from God, and I knew I needed to make things right, so I came to Christ. I came out of the darkness into the light.’” He also said, “I spent about three hours just going through the gospel, making sure he understood clearly about the atonement of Jesus Christ, that God is holy, that we are sinners, that Christ came to die in the place of sinners, that by repenting and believing in him, we can have eternal life. Right now, every day, he is living and walking with God, so from what I can tell, there’s no reason for me not to encounter that and be a part of that.” Maybe the pastor could turn Kanye on to reading about his history. Authorities say that a Ferrari was speeding at a high rate before the vehicle went over the center median and flipped multiple times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was seriously hurt and is currently in Intensive care. He is expected to survive. While the driver’s identity hasn’t been officially identified, sources close to the situation say it is indeed Spence. Spence is undefeated at 26-0 with 21 knockouts. Well, Chance The Rapper must’ve not gotten that memo because on the latest segment of The Late Late Show ‘s “Carpool Karaoke” the Grammy Award winner name dropped some big time celebs in-between rocking out with James Corden. When asked what his relationship was like with fellow Chicagoan, the last real American President, Barack Obama, Chance revealed that “I don’t have a number for him but I have a number for him.” He explained “I have a person that I can call that will say “Okay, i’ll have him call you.” Well, that a helluva lot closer to speaking to Obama than anyone of us will ever get. And if you thought Chance’s chances of getting ahold of Jay-Z was any easier, think again. “That’s the same way with Jay-Z. Jay-Z and Barack Obama are very very similar. Both of them have an assistant that you have to call and then you get a call from a private number and it’s either Jay-Z or Barack Obama on the phone. I never know which one it is calling when I get that call back.” We’d settle for a wave from anyone of them in person if anything.
