Producer Dallas Austin paid homage to his childhood friend, and prom date, and offered up some history in the process. “This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to do,” wrote Austin on IG for the caption of their prom photo. “…my mom and Kim’s mom was pregnant with us at the same time in Columbus …I have never known a life without Kim porter from kindergarten through all of our life long experiences in high school, having matching bmws or her being the biggest believer in me making it as a producer and us getting out of Columbus to be somebody ..and we made it!!” It also turns out the Austin and Porter’s relationship is what inspired the film Drumline, which starred Nick Cannon and Zoe Saldana. Say word? Austin added: “we were inseparable I feel like a part of my soul has has been taken away ..most people don’t know that Zoe Saldana played the role of Kim in ‘drumline’ as nick cannon played my character.” Kim Porter was found dead in her home on Thursday (Nov. 15). Her exact cause of death has yet to be determined. Rest in power Kim Porter.

In the wake of the unfortunate incident, Kanye West has given the family of Roberson $150,000. TMZ reports : West heard the story of Jemel Roberson — who was gunned down by police after stopping a drunken man with a gun — and wanted to do whatever he could to lessen the burden on his family. West donated $150,000 to Roberson’s family Friday, the goal originally placed on a GoFundMe account for Roberson’s family was $10,000. As we reported … Roberson was working security at Manny’s Blue Room Bar Sunday around 4 AM where several drunk customers were ordered out. One of those customers returned to the bar a short time later with a gun and opened fire. Reports say Roberson returned fire, subdued the gunman and held him at gunpoint until police arrived … but when the police officer got to the scene, he shot Roberson, killing him. After firing his whole team and canceling a tour, agents for the “Fefe” rapper say they didn’t finesse him out of owed coins and say he lacks an understanding of how money works. The Blast reports : The “Gummo” rapper canceled his tour earlier this week and said he fired his whole team. He also went on “The Breakfast Club” and claimed that he was only getting a few hundred thousand dollars out of a pot of $3.5 million. 6ix9ine said when he refused to take the stage, he was threatened with possible harm being brought on his mother. We’re told the booking agents made it clear that nobody threatened Tekashi or his mother, and claim that all business done was above-board. As for the money, sources involved in the negotiations tell us Tekashi does not understand how fees and expenses work when organizing a nationwide tour. Our sources say the normal percentages were divided up for all the people working tirelessly to organize the tour, including managers, crew, equipment and LOTS of security. We’re told the cut Tekashi was to receive was “very standard.” Our source insisted one of the big issues with money was that Tekashi apparently has a hard time understanding numbers, even when it comes to counting his own stacks of cash. Though Migos’ interpretation of pop songs was quite hysterical, the biggest highlight of the trip was Takeoff’s ever-telling eyes. Migos is known for keeping their eyes covered with shades or glasses, but this time Takeoff let the pupils free and they said everything that needed to be said without using words. In some instances, his eyes gave off “annoying creep energy” (0:31 mark), while in other instances, they conveyed “WTF” auras (11:12 mark). It was a beautiful thing to watch and already the Internet took hold of his eyes to convey their deepest feelings.
