Source: Taylor Hill / Getty The Michael Jackson , Chris Brown comparisons aren’t new. They’ve been a thing since Breezy hit the scene in 2007 as a singer with crazy dance moves, but usually with respect to MJ’s legacy. 50 Cent , who often shares his opinions in a harsh manner, recently chimed in on whether or not Chris Brown is the modern day King of Pop but MJ’s daughter, Paris Jackson , wasn’t here for his two cents. Email Submit In an Instagram post that showed Chris Brown doing flips across stage, 50 Cent captured the video, “All I’m saying is I never seen MJ come out like this.” It was an honest opinion but could’ve been taken out of context, whereas comparisons between the two normally focus on what Chris Brown has done to reach MJ level status, not what MJ hasn’t done, which kind of insinuates that Chris Brown’s talent is above MJ. Either way, to each his own. Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. ( Terms and conditions ). The thing is, 50 had his facts wrong. Paris corrected the rapper to let him know her father actually did hit a flip in his career. “Super Bowl 1993,” she wrote. “True legends don’t need to exert outrageous amounts of energy just to grasp your attention. Stillness, my friend, stillness. More power in stillness than you can probably understand.” Paris Jackson had to put 50cent in his place. Source: PYMCA / Getty We all knew it would come to this and the day finally seems to be arriving: Tekashi “Henry Hill” 6ix9ine will be taking the stand. XXL is reporting that the “Fefe” rapper is gearing up to testify against some of his old Nine Trey Gangsta Blood homies turned alleged kidnappers, Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack when their trial begins next Monday (Sep. 9). Based on listed information that coincides with Tekashi—namely the prosecution’s listing of CW-2 (cooperating witness two) as having been kidnapped on July 22, 2018, and the prosecution’s request for defense attorneys to ignore the witness’ October 2015 sexual misconduct conviction—6ix9ine is expected to take the stand against the two men at some point during the trial even though his name isn’t listed in the docs. While prosecutors think 6ix9ine was kidnapped by Ellison, Ellison’s attorney, Devereaux Cannick, says the abduction was faked for the sake of 6ix9ine’s album promotion. “No robbery or kidnapping or assault happened,” he told Page Six last month. “He was about to drop another album…gotta get that buzz up. That’s how he makes money.” That’s a good defense but kidnapping, beating and robbing a rapper who constantly took to social media claiming he’d never get touched wouldn’t exactly help his career in a positive manner. Just sayin.’ Still, putting hands and robbing the rainbow haired rapper isn’t the only charges the two are facing as the two men was also indicted “for participating in a racketeering conspiracy for their criminal involvement in Nine Trey, using and carrying firearms, which were brandished and discharged, in connection with the racketeering conspiracy.” Mack was also indicted for conspiracy to distribute heroin, fentanyl and MDMA and using and carrying a firearm in connection with the narcotics conspiracy. For his own set of separate charges, Ellison was indicted for using or carrying a firearm during and in relation to, or possessing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, which was brandished, and two counts of violent crime in aid of racketeering. The former charge is thought to be related to 6ix9ine’s kidnapping last year. If word that Tekashi is to get his freedom back as early as 2020 is to be believed then we’re pretty sure the Brooklyn rapper is prepared to sing like the chart topping artist he was when he idiotically posted a video in which he put a hit out on Chief Keef’s cousin not long before they were shot at in Manhattan. If only Tekashi 6ix9ine was tight with his “president” Donald Trump before the fame and fortune we might actually be rooting for him to drop dime.
Source: Coachella 2015 – Week 1 – Day 1 – Performances Featuring: Azealia Banks Where: Los Angeles, California, United States When: 10 Apr 2015 Credit: WENNCHELLA/WENN.com Lizzo has officially made it. No we are not talking about the MTV Music Awards. She is now the target of one of music’s most spiteful detractors. As spotted on Complex Azealia Banks has decided to throw her two cents on pop’s newest sweetheart. The Harlem native left a series of scathing comments aimed at Lizzo suggesting the singer is doing the jig for the man. “Lmao the fact that the public and the media has been keeping this fat girl joke going for so long is honestly peak boredom” she wrote. But wait the hate doesn’t stop there. Banks, who hasn’t had a song buzzing since 2011 with “212”, also criticized Liz’s chart topping hit “Truth Hurts” and her swag. “The song is not good, nor is the dumpy fat girl spectacle live set she does. Saddest bit is that the girl is legit talented and truly only being allowed to shine so long as she allows herself to be this millennial mammy of sorts.” She proceeded to also throw other artists under the bus and if we are reading this right puts herself in the same light as Beyoncé. “Like illiterate Cardi then fat Lizzo. They are really choosing the worst of the black womens crop to advertise America with,” she wrote. “I guess they saw us moving too fast with it because if you realize, after Beyoncé became political in ways they didn’t like the elite stopped giving her that top top spot and started cycling out these lessers like Cardi and Lizzo (even Lil Nas X trash ass buckbreak mountain anthem) giving them Beyoncé level accolades while both being no where near the level of black female excellence she is.” You can read her rant in full below. Source: FayesVision/WENN.com / WENN Buku Abi , daughter to Robert and Andrea Kelly, is following in her parents creative and artistic footsteps by embarking on a singing career of her own, with a new EP out called Don’t Call Me . For those who don’t know, Andrea Kelly is a very skilled dancer. It’s how she met R. Kelly before the two ultimately married and had three children. I don’t have to tell you that Buku’s father, singer R. Kelly is in the midst of yet another legal battle. He’s currently imprisoned on charges of child pornography, including videos of himself having sex with underage girls. SEE ALSO: R. Kelly Didn’t Want Cellmate, Court Docs Say But in the midst of her father’s struggles, Buku is attempting to establish herself in an industry she had once avoided. She spoke to the Associated Press about her journey. Abi, who was born JoAnn Kelly, claimed that she had seen the hellish part of the game and wanted no parts. But she couldn’t leave music alone. In the midst of everything she’s gone through, music has been a solace. And when your father’s R. Kelly, things can get rough. Abi explained when her father’s “sins” started seeping into her own life. “At home it’s normal, you’re living a life with your parents; your dad and mom aren’t going to go into all the bad things that might be going on outside of home,” she said, “but kids in school don’t necessarily care. Fifth and sixth grade is when I started learning the sore part of it, the not so good part. I think that was the hardest part for me because for so long I went with this image of who my dad (was) and what my family (was).” When her classmates started telling her stories about her own father, Abi said there were times when she considered suicide. Then she sang on stage during a high school performance and said the feeling of singing in front of people “literally felt like drugs.” Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news. ( Terms and conditions ). “I needed more of this,” she said. “Clearly, I can’t keep running from this anymore. Ever since then, I’ve been in it and it’s literally saved my life.” Naturally, attempting a music career, with her father’s reputation hasn’t been easy. “I definitely run across challenges — people wanting to work with me to spite him or people not wanting to work with me just because of who he is. I’ve definitely come across turmoil … being judged for really no reason at all, just based off associations. I’ve been pushing through it. Me making the art, it saved my life so there’s nothing really that would be able to stop me.” Abi released her debut project this past March with the help of her sister Jaah Kelly, who produced the album. Email Submit Although Abi says she no longer has a relationship with her father, music is where they connect. “There’s a lot about him as an artist that inspires me. He has made mistakes in his life and other things that he’s dealing with, but when it comes to that, I can’t take that away from him. That’s the one thing that will always keep us connected.” Abi believed that she could rekindle the relationship with her father. The two collaborated on a song called “Wanna Be There.” It appeared on Kelly’s 2015 album The Buffet. “At that time I was in a place where I was genuinely trying to have a relationship with my father. But it was so complicated at that time, as it always is. It was a great experience, I’m glad that I did it, but it just wasn’t like what everybody assumed, and that’s the part that sucks. It wasn’t this big kumbaya moment.” If it didn’t happen then, the likelihood of it happening now with R. Kelly being in jail as he awaits his trial in April is unlikely. As he awaits his fate, Abi is protecting her spirit. SEE ALSO: R. Kelly’s Ex-Employees Handed Over 20 Underage Sex Tapes To Feds “I don’t let that [her father’s legal troubles] be a part of my every day (life). I keep myself out of it.” [ione_media_gallery src=”https://rickeysmileymorningshow.com” id=”1903665″ overlay=”true”] This story was originally published on MadameNoire.com . Source: Earl Gibson III / Getty Actor Hosea Chanchez is the latest male figure in Hollywood to open up about the sexual abuse he endured at the hands of another man during childhood. The former “The Game” star took to Instagram to share how he grappled with betrayal and trauma after his friend’s father molested him at 14. “I’m Hosea chanchez and when I was 14 years old I was molested BY my friends father. This man is a predator, preying on children who’s trust he’s falsely built through lies, manipulation, threats and secrets,” he wrote on a caption, with a photo of himself as a young boy accompanying the message. Continuing, “I hope this truth helps to stop child molesting predators from sexually assaulting more children. Pedophiles have no place in our society they hide in the open and rape children who are afraid to speak up because of shame, guilt, fear, denial and the thought that no one will believe them. Im doing this to help parents and young children become aware of some of the signs and better protect themselves from sexual predators.” SEE ALSO: ‘The Game’ Actor Pooch Hall Is Facing Up To 6.5 Years In Prison In the corresponding slides, Chanchez tells a horrifying tale about how his friend’s father primed him for assault by asking him personal questions about his attractions and his sex life during car rides and time one-on-one. The now 37-year-old also said that the predator used the fact that he was raised by a single mom to fill the space of masculine authority that was lacking in his upbringing. “He knew my father wasn’t in my life and my mother was a single mom, so he would always tell me I was like his other son,” he bravely revealed. One day the molester leveraged that trust to assault him in the car and threatened to ruin his life if he told. At the end, he named his alleged assaulter by name, saying “I’m choosing to expose him now, to finally hold this man accountable.” You can read the entire account below. Sign Up For Our Newsletter!
